Located on the beach, our oceanfront casa is approximately 3 miles North of Los Barriles, on the scenic East Cape of Baja. With 180 degree panoramic views overlooking the Sea of Cortez, this tastefully designed smaller home invites you to unwind, relax and bask in the tropical sunshine while watching Dolphins play, Manta Rays jumping and Whales cruising by as many other species of game fish are crashing bait just outside your door.
Casa de El Cazador was built in 2004 and consists of two levels. Our upstairs living area has a fully outfitted kitchen (with every appliance and utensil necessary), living and dining area, master bed and bath. Relax and enjoy dining from the rustic dining room table that seats six with stunning ocean views or, if you prefer have your meals outside on the 2nd story balcony bar. Our outside patio has a large built-in Stainless Steel barbeque as well as seating to enjoy incredible sunrises or sunsets. The living area is suited with a very comfortable sectional sofa that has a double sleeper, a flat screen TV and Dish Network Satellite services as well as a DVD Player for your enjoyment. Our office area includes a computer with Hi speed DSL and WiFi for your convenience. The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed and TV. The master bath has a large shower with gorgeous tile. Downstairs you will find another bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and full 2nd bath, outdoor patio area and washer and dryer. A huge compound wall and large ornate wooden gates surround our entire lot. Our house will accommodate 4 people comfortably, but does sleep 6 if anyone is willing to sleep on the double bed sofa sleeper. For those of you who like to travel with your four-legged companion, we are also pet friendly!
Our home is on city water services and is filtered for safe drinking. If you prefer bottled water it is available everywhere at all the local stores. There is air conditioning if needed, but most days and nights the ocean provides you with a fresh cool breeze.
Los Barriles is a small town with many amenities but has an old time Mexico feel. The locals here are relaxed and very friendly. We have three grocery stores in town, and local farmers have organic produce available at other locations. Los Barriles has many restaurants, tortillaria’s, bakeries, shops and banking services. Although your stay here at El Cazador includes the use of two ocean kayaks, there are many rental shops in town for ATV’s, Kite Boards, Wind Surfing Gear and Scuba Diving/snorkeling. There are also many local Fishing Charters for those of you that want to experience world class sport fishing.
This property is cared for year round by a local Property Management Company here in Los Barriles. They will be available from the beginning, when you book your reservation, until you are ready to leave and check out. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Year Purchased: 2004
About: We live in Central Idaho in a beautiful mountain town between two ski resorts and a gorgeous alpine lake, but we LOVE the ocean and the warmer climate. We enjoy traveling, cooking, fishing, hiking, being with our family and relaxing with our friends. We have a Lab who travels with us so, we drive to Baja every year and enjoy our winter home in LosBarriles.
Why Los Barriles: After deciding to buy property and make our winter home in Baja, we chose Los Barriles because it's natural beauty, peaceful surroundings and the close proximity to a major airport. The EastCape of Baja has some of the best Sportfishing around. We also love the fact that we can ride our four wheelers into town and moor our boat right out in front of our house. We have our own private beach from where we can launch our kayaks or boat. Our beach does change every year depending on the storm activity during hurricane season. It can range from very sandy to very rocky, but still accessible. Just a quarter mile north of our house is a premier dive spot and the snorkeling is amazing! We absolutely love our friends that we have made while living here and the local people are extremely friendly. We also have a local Property Management Company here in Los Barriles who is available to assist you from the time you make your reservations until you check out.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The peace and quiet in Los Barriles is unsurpassed and has winter temperatures that average 70 degrees. Most days will find us on the ocean fishing for our dinner, or working in our garden, hiking up the mountain with our dog, or riding our four wheelers into town for a couple of tacos and a mucho frio cerveza!
