226 S. Sea Pines Drive, 1603 Port Villas -
My villa is a desirable end unit. It is 1200 sq. ft., has upstairs and downstairs living areas. The villa has a large covered porch overlooking Braddock's cove. Enjoy your morning coffee and complimentary Island Packet newspaper, or have evening cocktails and dinner while watching the wildlife action in the cove.
There is a small porch to one side of the villa, and a small balcony off of the master bedroom (what a view when you wake in the morning!).
The villa has living room, dining room, kitchen and half bath downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs each with full bathroom. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other has a queen-size bed.
Other amenities include:
• Washer/Dryer
• Dishwasher
• Fully stocked kitchen with stove, microwave, toaster oven, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc.
• Electric Grill
• High speed wireless Internet with wireless printer
• Flat screen TV in living room and flat screen televisions in each bedroom
• Cable TV in living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom
• CD/Cassette/AM/FM stereo in dining room
• DVD/VHS player in living room
• Access to community swimming pool at South Beach Marina
• One-person or two-person kayak with paddle and life preserver
• Boat slip on private dock
• Complimentary Island Packet newspaper
A pool pass is provided for access to our community pool at the Marina, but most visitors like to walk across the street to our beautiful beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
I have a one-person kayak that you are welcome to use during your visit. Bike rental is a few blocks away at the Marina. There are miles and miles of bike trails on the island and you can get on a bike trail just a block from my house.
PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT RENTAL IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 4 PERSONS TOTAL IN YOUR GROUP (including adults AND children).
Our Neighborhood
My villa is located in the “big toe” of Hilton Head Island. It is in a quiet area of villas located at the end of Braddock’s Cove, next to South Beach Marina Village, and across the street from a beautiful stretch of beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
This area is sought after because of its convenient location to the amenities of the Marina Village (shops, restaurants, outdoor bar, fishing charters, water sports and the famous Salty Dog Café), and because of its proximity to the beach. South Beach Tennis is one block away, and two great Sea Pines golf courses are about two miles from the villa. We have ocean on one side, and intercoastal waterway on the other. The villa overlooks Braddock’s Cove, an inlet from Calibogue Sound which leads to the Atlantic. Dolphin, Pelicans, Great Heron, Osprey and Marsh Hawks frequent the area, along with an occasional alligator or dolphin visit. Some of the greatest spot tail bass (redfish) and sea trout fishing on the island can be had right off of our dock. Crabbing is also plentiful.
Whatever your interests, you'll find a lot to do here on Hilton Head Island. There is something for everyone!
Savanna, Georgia is also just an hour's drive away, with so much to see and do there as well! Charleston, South Carolina is 2 hours drive.

What a great place to stay! The view of the cove was great. We spent just about every morning drinking our coffee watching the pelicans dive for fish and the dolphin swimming around. How convenient to be only minutes from the beach, bike paths, and the Salty Dog! The kitchen was well stocked with lots of pots and pans and utensils. We also used the crock pot several times. The fenced entry way provided a great place to store our bikes. Mary was a joy to work with. She gave us lots of ideas on where to eat and visit. We will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the great review. I look forward to renting to you again! Mary

The unit and property were extremely clean, comfortable, and decorated to perfection with a seaside island theme. The owner was very helpful in providing local information and directions. The property was everything that was depicted in the images and description. The location was perfect! Just a short walk to so many options-- something for everyone! Some of my faves - The beach! The endless biking paths! The nature preserve, and The South Beach Marina which has cute shops, ice cream, good eats, and of course the Salty Dog - which has an outdoor bar and live bands :) We really enjoyed having access to the fishing dock literally steps from the unit, and had great success catching a variety of local fish! We tried quite a few wonderful local restaurants in the area during our stay, but noted that the unit was fully stocked with cooking supplies if one wanted to grill up their fresh catch, or make a meal there to enjoy out on the porch overlooking the marina. I would recommend this place to everyone!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks much for the great review. Hope you will consider my villa again for a future visit! Just one correction; I don't fall into the "pet friendly" category; I do not allow pets.

We stayed here during the first week in May and had such a great vacation! The location was just amazing! We loved waking up every morning and sitting outside on the back porch drinking our coffee and watching the ocean cove...it was such a relaxing way to start your day! In our opinion, this villa had the best view of the cove from all of the villas and we actually saw some dolphins in the cove several times. We went down to the dock and were only feet away from them!! Such a treat! My husband greatly enjoyed the fishing that was just literally just steps away from the house. He could fish either directly off the cove wall or down on the dock...and he actually caught several large reds and a flounder! I really liked that the property felt like a home and had all of the little things you need, but never pack, when on vacation. It really made cooking at the house a simple task and I could get all of the laundry done before we even got home. The house comfortably fits a family of four. Also, the location was truly amazing because it allowed us to walk to the beach in a matter of minutes and also the shops, live music, and dining down at the Salty Dog. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation! I can't wait until we can come back!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Two retired couples stayed at this property and loved its access to Sea Pines' amenities. We liked the back porch with its view of the water. Lack of any closet space was a hassle. Only a few hangers were provided for use on door hooks. OK if you don't mind living out of a suitcase.Owner response: Since this is my home, you will find some clothing in the closets. I have just finished spring cleanout and have much more room to hang clothing. The door hooks referred to are 6 hooks behind each bedroom door, and there was no lack of hangers. I find the lack of space comment strange in that I had to mail the renter's clothing that I found in an EMPTY drawer back to the renter who refers to living out of a suitcase!

I have been vacationing in Hilton Head since I was a teenager. Now as a 30-something mother of two, my favorite thing about the island is how family friendly it is. And this condo is no exception! It's super close to restaurants, shopping, the beach, and the pool so we don't have to worry about loading everyone up in the car to go somewhere and there's always something fun going on! Now that my kids are getting a little older, they love walking down to the private dock and fishing. We wouldn't stay any where else!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
