  My Wife and I recently stayed at the Alderview. It was wonderful!!! Hot Tub and Sauna were fabulous after a long day at the beach and the Amenities available at the house were TOP NOTCH! I highly recommend the ALDERVIEW!

  Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

  My girlfriends and I had an amazing time here. The house was beautiful and is everything you would expect from the ad. The reservation process with the owner was easy and efficient as well. The house was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was awesome too! I definitely recommend this house and will be bak with my girlfriends again for sure!!

  So glad we booked this vacation property! What a great place. The house is wonderfully bright and open with really unique acoustics that we were able to have a lot of fun with, especially for morning wake ups. The circular stair cases would be an issue for families with toddlers, but offer more character to an already charming place. The house is tastefully appointed with very comfortable furnishings, particularly the sofa, love seat, and beds. One of the biggest highlights for our family was the nightly sauna and soak in the hot tub under the huge trees. Such a relaxing setting. The owners, Jim, Liz, and their son Chris were very accommodating easy to reach and helpful, especially as we had managed to lock ourselves out. This property comes with the added bonus of Chris Grice who also operates a charter fishing and sight seeing company called ViewWest Adventures. We booked Chris for 2 days of fishing, crabbing , and whale watching. He was awesome! We had such a great time!

  We had a great 4 day stay at the Alderview House in Tofino. The house itself was a lovely balance of "open concept" combined with privacy for the bedrooms. It was decorated beautifully and came supplied with everything we needed including a very inviting and relaxing hot tub. The "hot tub soak" was the perfect way to end the day. The house itself was located close enough to downtown for easy access but out enough to ensure a quiet natural setting with that "get away from it all" feeling. We would definitely want to stay at Alderview on any return trip to Tofino.

  Very clean, west coast style accommodation, nice decor and very well set up. Nice hot tub and dry sauna. Chris called to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. Great surfing close by, close to hiking. Must try Wildside Grill and Tofino Brewery very close by.

  The house was delightful, charming and had everything that we needed. The property was well maintained, clean and the hot tub was a bonus. The owner was very helpful and accomodating. The Common Bakery was a great place for coffee/tea and a cinnamon bun. One suggestion - a reflector on either side of the driveway entrance off the main road a it was hard to see in the dark and rain.. We would recommend this property to family and friends.

  This rental had everything we needed including a hot tub. Very comfortable place to stay with a good location midway between the town and the beaches.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This house was beautiful, they brought the west coast indoors! We were there in cloudy weather and didn't have to turn on lights until evening because there are so many windows! It was right on the main road but not noisy, it was not on the beach but honestly we didn't mind that. We did go out in the hot tub quite a few times to see the stars, it was amazing how many were visable even though we were surrounded by trees! The house itself is big and open, the kitchen and living room give plenty of room to move around. The couches do not fold out but are good for short people to nap on! I found the house very clean, I was a maid for many years so notice how clean places are, this is one of the only ones I have stayed at that I felt was honestly very clean! We did find the bedrooms very small, not much space between the bed and the walls, but were grateful that they were queen beds not double! The washer/dryer was really nice to have. The loft is really nice but not recommended for those with a fear of heights, the view is terrific! We also found that we could not watch TV when people were going to sleep in the loft because the sound travels so well in the house that it is much louder in the loft than the living room, we in the living room could not hear the voices but those in the loft found it very loud (surround sound speakers are up by the second floor). I would definately recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful affordable home away from home.

  Thanks for the wonderfull weekend in your beautiful house and a great fishing trip. The fresh salmon was delicious on the BBQ, Our Tofino trip couldn't have been any better. We highly recomend this rental. Mike, Cali, Sophie and Hugo

  We stayed three nights at Alderview in Tofino and had a great time. We used to live in Tofino for many years and returned to visit friends. We felt so at home in this great house and it was perfect for our family and we were sad to leave!! It's walking distance to town and to the beach along the bike path which is awesome. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a huge bonus, sitting in the forest and the pouring rain is so much more enjoyable in a private hot tub!!! The house was great, the owner was easy to deal with and I would recommend this house to anyone traveling to Tofino.
