First Bight house description
You will be transfixed by the stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean at Paradise Point. This is the kind of place where you can relax without worries or cares. You can kick back and just enjoy the view or whip up a great meal together and sit at the dining room table and tell tall tales from your adventures on the zip line or your trip to Port Royal at the eastern end of the island. All the windows open so you can catch the island breezes as only This Point can offer!
The main residence of has two master bedroom suites, plus a guest bath with shower. The third bedroom is a studio apartment with has it's own entrance.
An over-sized stairway leads you to the dramatic views of the upper suite and private deck. King bed; several over-sized chairs for curling up with a good book; walk-in closet; two sink bathroom. The upstairs deck is an unbelievable place to relax, read, and refresh your soul.
The large downstairs Master Suite offers a queen bed and one twin bed, table and over-sized chair/ottoman, bookcase. Bathroom includes a single sink and tub/shower combination. The deck off this bedroom overlooks the Sea Spa. Follow the path for your midnight skinny dip. Owner recommends a Pina Colada for this exercise!
The third bedroom has it's own entrance. Walking up the outside stairway, you can feel the tropical breeze and see the colors of the Caribbean. There are two twin beds which can also be a king bed. The apartment has its own TV/DVD/VCR. In addition, there is a full sized refrigerator, microwave, small electrice stove. The room is cooled by the ceiling fans and tropical breezes.
Like all the rooms, the Living Room is large and reveals the beauty of the Caribbean through the bank of 9' French Doors. The view is stunning. There are many siding windows on the east which allow the tropical breezes.
The Kitchen/Dinning room also over-sized and has everything you need. Fresh condiments are on hand for your use. The table has eight chairs, but will seat more.
This unique site was selected in 1991 when there were no other homes in the area. The gated area comprises the home plus five lots at the end of the street where the Caribbean waters meet First Bight Bay - Paradise Point.
Paradise Point is the closest house to the community dock;
however, it has it's own private stone snorkeling pier and a ladder which allows easy entry in and out of the water.
There no better snorkeling on this Island! Twice daily Coco View and Fantasy Island dive boats tie to the buoys off shore to dive/snorkel the area. One buoy is about 100 yards from our snorkeling ladder.
The owner will make arrangements with the Property Manager to assist you at the airport. They are informed and will do their best to make your stay enjoyable and safe.
It is suggested you arrange to rent a vehicle to make the most of your vacation. The manager will be available during your stay to assist your needs.
There is an on-site caretaker/guard who lives in a house on the property. Carlos has held this job for 17 years.

A View Second to None
Paradise Point, say no more! I recently returned from my second stay at "The Point", previously I was there in March of this year. Part of me that did not want to write a review, in fear it would be found by everyone else. Yes a bit selfish and not realistic. Truth be told everyone should see this place! The setting of the house on the property is what makes it. The house is very well kept and has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. All the rooms are very spacious and well appointed. While the master bedroom certainly has the best view, all have their own charm. I believe you will actually find the balconies to be the best “rooms” in the house. Your front yard is the ocean, really only 50’ away. If you are diver, as I am, you have (2) named sites in your front yard and will not need to travel any further! If you are not the snorkeling is excellent as well, I recommend a night snorkel excursion! There is plenty to do on the island, however this is one place where I could stay and never leave the property! So if your lucky enough to be there on a full moon and the sky is clear, grab your favorite drink, head out to the balcony, pull up a lounge chair and watch the moon pass by! I will guarantee this, time will finally slow down! And that I cannot put a price tag on!

Stunning is right!
Stunning is right!
This place is absolutely gorgeous! The home is very clean and well kept. It has everything you need. Beautiful views when you walk through the front doors and breezes that will quickly refresh you! No need for AC here, although it is available. The grounds are so pretty and I can't say enough about the ocean views, just amazing from every room in the house. It's nestled at the very end of a private road affording complete privacy. This home is large enough to accommodate a huge family! Bring some extra friends too! Perfect for family reunions.. there's plenty of space. I loved the kitchen. It's so large you can cook and entertain guests at the same time with its large open layout. The property manager was available at a moments notice if I needed her. Wifi is available which for me is a huge plus. I'd say yes to another visit in my near future!

Perfect for Family and Friends
Perfect for Family and Friends
This is a great house for 2 couples or 1 family or, as in our case, a couple of friends. We were met at the airport by the local property manager who helped us rent the car, drove with us to the local WiFi + cellular store, and then to the local grocery store to stock up the kitchen. Paradise point is at the end of packed dirt road, about 1 mile from the main road in Roatan. It never rained so I can't comment on the condition in the wet, but it was well maintained despite being not sealed. At the end is a little collection of homes, perhaps 7-8, with Paradise Point being on the tip. The view is worth the price of admission, period. You have just about 180 degrees of uninterrupted water view. And the whole property is so quiet you forget you're surrounded by other homes. The prevailing breezes cool the property and we never once thought about turning on the AC. Off the deck is a wooden walk-way that ends with a 4 foot drop into the sea. Bring your mask and fins and step right into your own private aquarium. The house has everything you need. Fully stocked and fully loaded kitchen, bathrooms, television (if you must), music (ex-pat radio station is nice), upstairs balcony is a mirror of the one below...thought we'd use it more, but never seemed to. We went diving just about every day so most days we were away from the house, but a wonderful place to come home to -and a hard place to leave in the morning. Not for very young children as the exposed volcanic rock would be unforgiving, but otherwise older children, teens, and couples -a perfect place. I would definitely go back to if had the chance -and definitely give it my highest recommendation. Ps. Don't forget to eat at "Temporary Cal's" -go early in your trip so you can go back again and again.

A good friend and I stayed at this spectacular home and felt instantly transported to paradise. A coral reef is steps off the tiled patio so we snorkeled every morning after breakfast. Our evenings were spent dining in the spacious dining room or sitting and enjoying the sunset by the reef. I had the master suite upstairs which has its'own balcony overlooking the ocean and my friend had the downstairs suite with views of the ocean as well. I highly recommend this lovely home to anyone coming to visit Roatan.

Escape winter for a tropical island paradise
Escape winter for a tropical island paradise
We stayed at this property in January of 2012. This beautiful house is exactly as described, you couldn't stay closer to the water if you tried. It is completely private yet close enough to neighbors not to feel isolated. The caretaker was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The owner left us a phone and internet stick which both worked perfectly upon activation with Claro and were very helpful to have. The point is between Fantasy Island and Cocoview on one side and Parrot Tree Plantation on the other, not always well marked on maps. We enjoyed diving at Fantasy Island and with Subway Sports out of Turquoise Bay. It was also fun to explore the island (although driving can be a real adventure). We enjoyed everyone we met on Roatan which included many native islanders as well as expats. For anyone looking to rent a home on Roatan, this home would be my first choice, we can't wait to go back.

Paradise in not an over statement. This property gives one privacy both inside and outside the house.. The three suites gives wonderful personal space.A guest bath in addition is a plus. The ocean views are SPECTACULAR, watching the sun rise and set. Great walking opportunities on the 1.9 mile stretch off the main road. There is nothing in the pictures nor the description that is not accurate or even understated. It is truly paradise for snorkling, diving, and other water sports. Owners easy to work with, and very knowledgeable of the Island. I have returned to this site many times over the past 6 years or so. My favorite get-away location in the world. Hope you enjoy it as much!!

Year Purchased: 1991
About the owner: My home is in Napa Valley.
Why the Owner Chose First Bight:
It only took one look in 1991 for us to know THIS site was perfect. We had first choice and selected the house lot plus 5 surrounding lots to own Paradise Point giving us the privacy we wanted, yet enjoying close neighbors and friendships. We had already purchased land in Belize 3 years earlier, but hesitated to build. The very afternoon we made our selection my husband said, 'We are going to buy that land and build right away.' We did just that! He was not only a Marine Biologist but a Land Developer and knew he found the perfect spot! There has never been one day we were not pleased with this decision. Perfect water location yet close to everything. No matter where I go or do on the Island, I love to drive back to the comfort of my home !
The Unique Benefits at this House:
To me, my bedroom on the Island is the 'Best Bedroom in the World.' My Napa Valley bedroom is nice, but I miss the ocean and sitting on my deck overlooking the Caribbean. The breezes next my bed and the sounds of the ocean are divine. It is just perfect to go downstairs and have morning coffee on the deck or in the living room - in the morning, you will see the men in their small boats going to work, a fisherman out for a catch, or in the distance a scheduled cruise ship in the horizon. Friends come by for coffee - what a wonderful way to start the day. The kitchen looks out to the same view and in the afternoon the perfect lighting is enjoyed while you either cook or have a glass of wine. It is the time of my life when I need to downsize and sell my piece of paradise. In time, new owners/investors will arrive and make it their home; possibly, develop the five surrounding lots. The natural tropical garden is there to enjoy or it could be developed into homes or condos. VRBO visitors will have little or no disruptions.
