Relaxing Rental on the Rocky Broad River at Elysium Lodging. The cabin is 100 feet from the riverbank nestled in the woods below the Chimney Rock at the top of the driveway. It is just a short walk to the stairs and riverfont, all on the same property.
Location: Chimney Rock, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA. Minutes from Chimney Rock Park, one mile from Lake Lure and the beach water park, and 25 miles from the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The Cherokee Indian Reservation and Harrah’s Casino, Tweetsie Railroad, Sugar Beach skiing, are less than two hours away.
Accommodations: Two-story cabin with one bedroom, one bath, kitchen, and great room on each level with laundry and hide-a-bed sofa on lower level. Sleeps two to six.
Elysium (from Greek mythology meaning "a place of ideal bliss or complete happiness; paradise:) Lodging offers restful rental at the end of a dead-end street that runs parallel to the Rocky Broad River near the village of Chimney Rock, North Carolina.
The two-story cabin has an open porch on the "treetop" level with porch swing and barbecue grill. The view from every window is wooded treetops and Bald Mountain. The dramatically illuminated Chimney "Rock" can be seen in the evenings. The sounds of the rushing river can be heard at night from just a few yards down the driveway where steps lead down to a beautiful riverfront with two swings and a picnic table.
The Rocky Broad is wonderful for fishing, wading, duck watching, rock hunting, and tubing and is just a short walk from your door. The cabin is just a few short blocks to the village of Chimney Rock, filled with charming shops and restaurants and a mile from the beach at Lake Lure with boat rental and pontoon boat rides around the lake. Chimney Rock Park offers a day of climbing adventure or just a birds eye view of breathtaking miles and miles of beautiful mountain area terrain in all directions. On a clear day it seems you can see forever. The months of May and October are particularly spectacular.

Cleaning, catering, and pet-sitting available onsite. No Smoking indoors. Pet friendly.
Area Activities (on the site or nearby): Hiking in Chimney Rock Park, fishing in river or nearby Lake Lure, miniature golf, antique/craft/souvenir shopping, restaurants and specialty food shops, sightseeing, championship golf courses, horseback riding swimming and tubing in river or Lake Lure Beach, boating and water-skiing.

My husband I visited this cabin for a week. We had a lovely time and would recommend this site to everyone. The accommodations were lovely. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The cabin was very clean and nice. It is stocked with everything you need and more. It is very close to chimney rock. You can walk to local stores and eateries. We loved that the cabin was quiet and serene and set in a wooded site but close enough to walk to chimney rock and drive into Asheville. We will definitely return. Lastly the owners are very nice and are onsite in their own home but they do not disturb you at all. I just can't say enough good things about our experience.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

I was married to the man of my dreams on November 20th 2009...we stayed in this cabin for our Honeymoon weekend..it was the most amazing weekend of my life thus far...it was so peaceful and beautiful...it really shows all of God's Glory and all his wonders!!! The owner was amazingly nice...when we arrived there was a sweet note of CONGRATS on the counter and a homemade jar of Fig Preserves along with it...the cabin in itself is amzing there is so much room and it is decorated so beautifully!!! We are hoping to stay there again for our 1yr anniversary...which is comng up very soon....if u are looking for a quiet peaceful get away that is also close to everything u could possible think of....LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
