  Kitsilano is one of the best neighborhoods in Vancouver. You can easily walk to a number of coffee shops, bakeries, food markets, restaurants, and shops from this property, so it's a great place to stay. The Garden Suite is delightful. Vanja is a perfect host, and very sweet. The apartment is exactly as you see in the pictures - bright, modern, and comfortable. Between the wifi and the laundry options, it was almost like being home. We had three adults in the space and never felt like we were crowded or cramped. When we return to Vancouver, this will absolutely be our first pick for where to stay. Cobs Bakery on Broadway, Booster Juice on Cornwall (not walkable), and the natural market at MacDonald and 16th were some of our favorite local spots. Be sure to dine at Heirloom on 12th (it's a vegetarian joint, but very high end and perfect for everyone).

  We stayed a week at our 2 bedroom suite in the middle of Kitsilano, close to convenient bus routes, UBC, VGH, the city, restaurants and markets. It is fully self-contained with modern amenities, supplies and all comforts provided. We slept very well!. Even though it is a basement unit it was light and airy, and wonderfully warm. We could not ask for anything extra, yet our hosts were prompt to respond to any request for advice or assistance. We cannot recommend this suite more highly and would return here without question on any subsequent visit to Vancouver.

  Our stay at this beautiful VRBO couldn't have been better! Vanja made our arrival so welcoming and comfortable and the location was ideal. The photos in the listing didn't do it justice. There were some serious designers at work when this little apartment was created! I wish we could have spent more time just relaxing in the comfortably appointed bedrooms and living room and cooking in the fully decked out kitchen but we had a tour at UBC and all of Vancouver to explore. We hope to spend many more Vancouver getaways right here! Thank you Vanja!

  A home from home. The suite meet all the requirements for a quiet holiday haven while being close to a good shopping/restaurant strip and to major bus routes. I would recommend anyone using the buses as a mode of transport to downtown Vancouver or out to the University. I regret not meeting the owner on this occasion as all my queries etc had been met with such courtesy. I did enjoy the rivalry between the black and grey squirrels that inhabitated the trees across from the suite. As Australians squirrels are such a novelty.

  GREAT neighborhood location, pristine accommodations. We loved the convenience of a kitchen, washer/dryer, ample parking -- a huge plus and great alternative to a downtown hotel! We visit Vancouver yearly, and will certainly try to get Vanja & Dorian's house again. We've already recommended it to friends who'd never been to Vancouver, and who were disappointed that it was unavailable for their stay.

  We recently stayed at this apartment and had a great experience. We were a family of 4 with 2 small children and were very comfortable here. Beautiful neighborhood. Easy access to transit, and can also walk to many places. The apartment is in great condition, very comfortable and bright (you do NOT feel like you are in a basement). Kitchen very well appointed and easy to work in. Recommended.

  My friends (a couple with a child) and I had a wonderful and comfortable few days here. The suite is immaculate and decked out with top notch appliances and fixtures. Its location is central and you can walk to many restaurants and stores. It was also refreshingly cool at the height of summer. Vanja was a wonderful host and I definitely recommend this suite if you don't need a lot of room and value good design. [Plus it has a 3D TV and glasses!]

  Great place. We loved the kitchen. It was surprisingly hot for Vancouver but the suite was nice and cool. Great hosts.

  We very much enjoyed our stay here with 3 little children. The apartment was nicely furnished and well equipped. The owner Vanja was very nice. Perfect location.

  We stayed here for 2 weeks. It was absolutely perfect. The place was spotlessly clean with a very modern design. Eventhough this is the basement, there's plenty of windows and they even have air exchange filter on the ceiling all over the place:) You won't feel suffocated .This neighborhood is very quiet, safe and its tree-lined. My son is studying at UBC and its only 10mins away by car. Commuting is easy too. Restaurants are just a few blocks away. We always eat at the japanese restaurant 5mins away by walking, called Sushi Sushi. The owner, Vanja was the perfect host, we don't need to buy supplies (bathroom tissue, paper towels, shampoo, soap, etc.) since everything was provided for. Cooking pans/kitchen utensils are complete too, if you want to cook. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and we would definitely come back.

  This garden suite was impeccably done; it was stylish yet cozy and very comfortable. It is located in a sweet neighborhood great for jogging and long strolls. There are markets and restaurants nearby and many more within a short taxi ride or a longer walk. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, quick to respond to communication and needs. Highly recommended for Kitsilano visits!

  From first impression to lasting impression - this suite was perfect. Upon arrival, it was a treat to be able to roll my luggage right up to the stairs. I only had to bring them down 2 or 3 steps, so with assistance, this too would be suitable for elderly, young kids or people with disabilities. Immaculately clean, modern, and functional. There was a lot of natural lighting for a basement suite, which I loved. I was in for a long stay for medical reasons, so having a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a flat screen tv were all very helpful for my stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and tons of extra towels and linens were handy if necessary. The wi-fi worked fantastic - I was even able to watch netflix movies on my computer with no delays. The only hang up was cell service - I had to go to a window or outside to talk on my phone - but this could have been my provider, and nothing to do with the suite. To top it off, the location is ideal - basically 3-4 blocks off West Broadway. Close to too many restaurants and shops to list! So if you don't want to cook in the fabulous kitchen, there are many options from Tim Hortons or Subway, to some amazing sushi, greek, pubs and such as well. Shopping is fantastic too - lots of great little shops close by. Buses are either right on West Broadway or West 16th Ave, so you really don't need a car. But if you do there's lots of free parking. Again, only wonderful things to say about his suite. If I'm back in Vancouver again, I would definitely choose this suite over another or a hotel. It's like your own little boutique hotel. Enjoy!

  We really enjoyed our stay here while visiting Vancouver. Booking was convenient and communication with the owner was excellent throughout. The apartment is in a pretty residential neighborhood that's convenient to downtown by bus or car. We quickly found a good bakery, coffee shop, market, and restaurants in walking distance. The pictures and description of the unit are right on; it's bright, well lit, very nicely decorated, has a great fully equipped kitchen, and pretty much every possible convenience from wifi to laundry. Street parking was easy. Highly recommended!

  Fantastic spacious location in central Kitsilano only a short walk to local boutiques, grocers and buses downtown. The entire suite is brand new, modern and in spotless condition. We loved the dream kitchen and really appreciated the dishwasher. Beds and linen were super comfortable. Flatscreen TV and music system was a plus. Warm hosts helped make our stay memorable.Highly recommended and will definitely stay there again next time we're in Vancouver.
