Village of South Walton condo description
The Village of South Walton is located on the eastern end of Scenic Highway 30A between Rosemary Beach and Seacrest Beach. Our relatively new condo unit has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps up to 8. It is tastefully decorated and appointed and has all the comforts of home. From the solid wood front door to the shaker style real wood cabinets and travertine floor coverings, this unit conveys a sense of quality that will make you feel good about your accommodations decision. All you will need to enjoy your time at the beach is your bathing suit and a beach towel. We will take care of the rest.
Our unit is ideal for one family or two couples. The master bedroom has a king bed and private bathroom with a separate shower and tub and a double vanity. The primary guest bedroom has a queen bed and a private access to a shared bathroom. The other guest room has a double bed. We also have a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to prepare family meals during your stay.
Within minutes of The Village there are multiple restaurants, shops, two nice grocery stores, and a sports bar. For those who enjoy physical activities while on vacation, there are so many to choose from. There are more than five golf courses in the area within a twenty minute drive. Across the street is the beginning of the twenty mile long paved 30A bike path that runs from Rosemary Beach to the western end of 30A. Along the way you can stop for lunch at any number of restaurants or sandwich shops, shop for jewelry or clothing, stroll though the famous town of Seaside, or stop for an ice cream cone on a hot summer day. There are several bike rental shops in the area that will deliver bicycles right to your door.
The beaches of South Walton are world famous for their nearly snow white soft sand. The dune system in this area is still intact and the beaches look much like they did in pre-development days. Beach chair rentals are available and all the typical beach activities such as parasailing, personal water craft rentals, banana boat rides, etc. are available in the general area. In the evenings, after a nice day at the beach, there are many opportunities for entertainment. Throughout the season you can choose from live music, live theatre, a wine festival, and a jazz festival among others. Once you have vacationed along the beaches of South Walton, you will not want to take a beach vacation anywhere else.

The condo was nice as far as the way it looked. We were like many others and went to the grocery store in order to cook meals rather then eat out every meal. The kitchen was not stocked with much to make a decent meal. Each bath was given a total of 6 bath towels? I had to wash towels everyday and when you are in the heat and swimming you shower frequently. Our biggest complaint was the noise. We were the 3rd floor which left a floor above us. Let me tell you that was a learning lesson for us. I new the first very first night we were in trouble. We had driven 14 hours with three children and we were exhausted. You can hear every foot step above you not to mention voices and chairs being drug across the floor. The noise was fine during the day when we happened to be in but at midnight, 2am then starting at 7am...It was beyond frustrating. This was with us running a box fan that we had brought turned up on high. When it was quiet in the mornings you could hear their conversations! We never got a good nights rest not one night. If you are a sound sleeper or you are deaf this is the place for you.

Manager response: This review is baffling and unwarranted. The owners of this unit own two restaurants in the Nashville area and understand what a well stocked kitchen requires. They have stocked the kitchen with every essential item one would want in a vacation property. We give all our owners a list of "rental ready items" that includes a very detailed list of required and recommended kitchen items. After receiving this review, we took a detailed inventory of the kitchen and compared it to our list. Only 2 minor items on our list were not in the kitchen. We have since supplied those two items. We have a copy of the inventory in electronic form for anyone who would like a copy. Please ask us when you send your inquiry and we would be happy to email it to you. As for the noise, The Village of South Walton is a very soundly built concrete structure that was built in the mid 2000's. It is no different from any other condominium in the area. I have been in the unit dozens of times at various times of the day and evening and have never heard any sounds from the neighbors above or beside us. Apparently the guest who complained of the sound was unfortunate enough to be below some rambunctious kids in the 4th floor unit above. This is no more likely to occur in our unit than in any other condo unit with living space above it. I liken this complaint to one that "it rained during our vacation and we are therefore not coming back." This is a very nicely furnished and equipped condo unit with finish details you do not see in most condos. It is clear to see that the original developer constructed the development with high standards. Please don't let the unwarranted comments of a single guest affect your opinion of this fine property. Very impressive condo
Very impressive condo
We were so impressed with this condo. It was so clean and tastefully furnished. The view out over the courtyard was great, and you could see the ocean on the other side of the street. The layout of the condo was perfect. The was a little noise from the unit overhead, when the kids up there would run around, but otherwise very private and quiet, even during the busy summer season. The walk to the beach was not long, and the walk over to Rosemary Beach shops was convenient as well.

About: We live in the Nashville area but have enjoyed vacationing along the Beaches of South Walton for many years. Last year the timing and market conditions were right and we decided to buy a property that we could enjoy for years to come. We hope you enjoy it as well and welcome you as our guests.
Why Village of South Walton:
We have stayed in places all along the 30A corridor and really like the Rosemary Beach area the best. The entire area has a very nice feel to it. The Village of South Walton is close enough to shopping and typical beach activities and yet removed enough so that we can relax and enjoy the surroundings. We travel a lot for business and have not found a place with a better atmosphere than the east end of 30A in South Walton County, Florida.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The main draw to The Village of South Walton is the beach and large Seacrest Beach Lagoon pool. However, we really appreciate the 30A bike path that runs the length of 30A from Rosemary Beach to the west end. We always try to set one day aside to ride to Seaside and back.
