  Our family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend at this lake house. We never met the owner. Entire transaction was by email. However, she was very prompt to reply and her instructions made accessing the property quite easy. She handled the entire transaction from inquiry to deposit refund very professionally. The kitchen is stocked with everything you should need to prepare your choice of nourishment. The property has little extras that can make your stay more comfortable. For instance, we had purchased a toy for our grandson not realizing we needed a screw driver for assembly. Guess what? We discovered a small tool set in the broom closet. One other example was our need for some distilled water - in the broom closet also. The view of the lake is great and the screened in porch makes for an insect free viewing area. We used the outdoor grill each night and it was well maintained. The pictures of the house are quite accurate. The front of the house is on the highway and gated so we just exercised caution when leaving with our car. The master loft bedroom is open and the 1st floor bedroom is closed with a drapery. Not a problem for our family but if you need privacy you might consider how open the floor plan is. The downstairs bedroom is completely private and accessed by a circular stairway from the porch. We would certainly return if we visit Clear Lake in the future.

  The lake house was absolutely delightful! The place was clean and bright. The lake view was beautiful. My friends and I stayed during Memorial Day weekend. The backyard deck with the BBQ grill was clean and had all the tools, chairs and seats we needed to grill. We also enjoyed the layout of the house. We just loved the wood panels and extra lights outside and inside. The loft upstairs was roomy and spacious for my two friends to share. My friends only issue was the shower pressure was a too slow for her. However, there were two other bathrooms so they just used those instead. The den was really cozy and decorated very nicely! Though there was a curtain to separate it from the living room, you just have to expect it not be fully enclosed privacy. However, I found myself enjoying being connected to my friends and being able to carry a conversation with someone in in the kitchen regarding meals or while I am in the living room enjoying the fireplace. We spent most of our time in the living room and dining room. The wi-fi was great for my friends who could not unhook themselves from technology for a weekend. The sofa was super comfy to take naps with the sun shining through the whole place. I personally loved those individual reclining chairs! We move it here or there to adjust to the fireplace or to be next to the sun. You could really see the added touches that Julee puts into her place. There were maps on the wall, extra brochures, books, CDs, matching towels, water bowl for your pet, soap, hand lotion in the kitchen, more beach towels in the downstairs bedroom. The instructions around the light switches and kitchen cabinets were very helpful! Saved us time in trying to figure it out ourselves – very well thought out - nice! There was plenty of space to park our cars and room to play with our dog. We arrived late on a cool Friday night and did not know how to turn on the propane fireplace. The next morning we called Chris next door to help us with the fireplace. He walked over in a jiffy and showed us how to use it. Once it was lit, our stay was so much nicer as we enjoyed breakfast and coffee with views of the lake from the dining table with the fire going. The bedroom downstairs was nice and had everything my other friend needed for a comfortable stay. Plus the extra bathroom was convenient if you did not want to go back upstairs. The kitchen was small but we all did not need to be the in the kitchen. All the pots, pans and tools were there for one

  My family and I were a little disappointed in the property. This was the first time to use VRBO so I was not sure what to expect. The property is right on the highway so it was noisy and made me nervous to take our dog outside although it is gated. I would not recommend it for families with small children. The property was clean but not especially well maintained. One shower was not useable due to a faulty shower head. The house served our purpose since we needed only night time lodging as we vacationed with family in the area. The owner, Julee, was very nice, helpful and easy to work with.

  Owner response: As you can see, most of the reviews on my Lucerne house are 5 star. So I have really thought long and hard about this review, trying to understand why it had so few stars. I did call the vacationer but she did not clarify her issues. I am most concerned about her comment about poor maintenance. Luckily, I was the next person to stay at the house. And I found some problems. The front of one of the drawers was loose and one of the sink faucets came off in my hand. Problems like this are not okay with me. I know the house was ready to go in the Spring when the first vacationer stayed. I think that over the summer, through wear and tear, some things just wore out. I do not stay at the house during the summer; all of you do. So, please if you find anything not up to snuff, call me or my handiman; We will get things fixed as fast as we can.   Beautiful home!!!! The pictures don't do it justice.. The house was so amazingly clean we were able to feel right at home! Julee, the owner was wonderful and she was so quick to respond to our every need! This house is stocked with absolutely everything you will need for a great vacation! We will be back:)

  Great location, right at the lake! Also loved that you could bring your dog. The home was clean and extremely well stocked with all necessary items. We enjoyed our morning beverage on the screened-in porch while overlooking the lake. Thanks for a great mini-vacation!

  This is a GREAT house, right on the lake. It was stocked with all the ammenities one needs. We had such a good time doing almost nothing all day. Being right on the water gives one such a sense of peace. The beach next door was perfect for little walks with the dogs. We loved the screened in porch and sat there in the evenings as we watched the stars come out. The BBQ was clean and worked! Not something you always find. There are spiders and webs, BUT it is a lake and they help keep the gnat and mosquito populations down. It was also great to have the dock. We rented a kayak from Kayak Adventures right down the street. They delivered and picked it up! Great service and a great price (they gave us a multiday discount). We will be back!

  This place was awesome again!! Everyone had a great time. The house is well maintained as well as the grounds. Julee the owner is delightful to communicate with. We couldn't of had a better time than we did here at this house. I will always try to get this rental, hopefully it will be available. I've rented 3 vacation homes on Clearlake and this is the best! I live up here in Lake County, and this house was so comfortable I didn't go to my house at all. Thanks for a fun fun time on our vacation.

  My family and I along with our two dogs spent a week at this wonderful location. The house was exactly as described on VRBO and was stunningly located. As indicated, it was an very dog friendly property and we had crates, gates, bowls and dog cookies available to us. The yard was fully enclosed and the private beach was a great addition, especially for the dogs who stood there every morning waiting to go swimming! The house itself was extremely clean and very comfortable and it had all the amentities we needed. We rented a boat for the day and used the dock which functioned perfectly. We had such a wonderful time there we are already thinking of going back next year - perfect place to read, swim, hang out and watch amazing sunsets!

  Hello - My family and I stayed at Julee's house during Father's day weekend. The house was very accommodating with all of the necessary kitchen supplies, etc. There is tons of outdoor space which is great for the kids to run around and the adults to BBQ and sunbathe. The screened in porch up top was great to sit out in the morning and drink a cup of coffee. We had a little problem with the refrigerator not getting cold when we first arrived and had to make due by getting more bags of ice for the ice chests, but Julee was very apologetic and very understanding. She offered to reimburse us for the extra ice we had to buy, but I declined. Instead I asked to stay another night since we were having so much fun and she did not even hesitate to tell us "Yes. Go right ahead." That really made a lasting impression on all of us and we will definitely be coming back to stay at the Lucerne vacation rental. Thank you Julee for everything and I hope to speak to you soon!

  Had a great time at Clear Lake over the weekend. House was just as advertised; clean, stocked with every amenity that you would need and very comfortable. Fishing was great and the dogs had a blast.

  We arrived to a wonderful clean house. By far the pictures don't do it justice. Excellent views and a large yard fenced in for the dogs to run around at will. Were up for the clearlake oaks catfish derby and caught all our 32, 10+ pound catfish right off the sea wall. The biggest was 18.39 pounds caught by my brother who took 10th place in the derby. This is the best rental we have stayed at in years and we cant wait to get back. I would recommend this to anyone. The only down side was when we had to head home. Thanks Julee

  My dogs, my hubby and I had a completely relaxing stay! The house is immaculately clean and very attractively decorated, and all dog friendly- even a little fake grass potty area! The view is to die for, of course, right on the lake. It was so enjoyable watching the wildlife, it was hard to tear ourselves away. And you have a front row seat for sunset, and an absolutely wonderful night sky for stargazing. If you're looking for a beautiful place to walk the dogs (if they aren't too tired from fetching the ball in the lake!) go to Clear Lake State Park in Kelseyville. And Robinson Rancheria is right down the road for a little nightlife. Can't wait to return for more relaxing and de-stressing!

  This house is AWESOME! I was able to just r-e-l-a-x. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and carefree. Not only do you get all the great amenities like comfy beds, an on-site washer and dryer, beautiful views from either a screened in porch or a dock overlooking the lake, but it's well equipped for bringing your canine buddy along too! My dog had his first swimming experience ever right off the beach. He loved this place as much as I did. Can't wait to go back!

  My family and I have had many great stays at this Lakefront Home on Clear Lake. The view of the lake is breath-taking! My mom feels like she's on a cruise ship when she's sitting down on the 2nd level as all she can see is Lake from that vantage point! Our doggies have always had a great time and have felt very welcome. The Critter Corner is a welcome amenity! The home is stocked with everything we need and our family meals around the large dining room table have always been memorable. We also enjoyed the large selection of games and puzzles! It's always nice to have a washer/dryer handy and three bathrooms is a huge PLUS! Thanks, Julee for welcoming us into your wonderful vacation retreat! We hope to come back year after year!

  The property is clean, warm and inviting. The house is spacious, well-lit, nicely furnished and comfortable. There's a terrific view over the lake. Lots to do outside, too, including beach access. The house and outdoor space is dog-friendly, very conveniently laid out. We had everything we needed! A great value for families on a budget. Owner was helpful, very interested in our comfort and enjoyment.

  We loved your house. The new oven worked great. We had all our meals on the screened deck and many hours of playing cards in the evening. No mosquitos! What a treat. The beds were wonderful and the pillows soft. My husband and I sat outside with all the lights off and watched shooting stars. Our dog's nose did not stop sniffing. We're off to ski then back to foggy San Francisco.

  Good time. We enjoyed our stay. Caught 3 large catfish (15 lb, 12 lb, and 6 lb), 7 black bass (3 to 4 lb) and numerous Bluegill. We were very comfortable. Thanks for the WIFI! Nice touches throughout.

  My family and I had a great time staying at this house! We have been to many all around Clear Lake and this is by far the best. We appreciated all the air conditioning and fans conveniently located all around the house, they were quite the life savers! And thanks for all the games underneath the TV, the kids entertained themselves for hours. Once again, we loved this house!

  We enjoyed our stay particulary catching (and releasing) lots of bass in the 3 to 10 pound range. They were right off the retaining wall area.
