  We really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home in West Seattle. The view of the mountains and Puget Sound was really special. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use the spacious deck. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, pots, pans and utensils. The open floor plan made a great place for our whole family to congregate. The smaller den-like areas were super if one needed to "get away from it all". And, of course, several of us took advantage of the relaxing jacuzzi. Seemed like our vacation was just not long enough. Thanks for letting us use your lovely home.

  Clean and comfy. Lots of room to spread out. Well equipped. Beautifully decorated. Homeowner very easy to work with. 2 bedrooms both on lower floor although there were 2 couches (one in living room and one in den) plus a bath (with whirlpool tub) on main floor. Easy access to main floor which also included dinning room and kitchen. Lower floor also included a bath, living room, den and laundry facilities. (2 beds and 3 couches). Lots of room for lots of people. Easy to get to by car. Bus service close by. Buses run frequently. We had a most enjoyable time and would recommend this property to others.

  6 of us "Wisconsinites" came to town for the GB Packer - Seattle Seahawk game and didn't want to be stuck in different rooms at a boring hotel. This home was PERFECT. Not only was it clean and spacious with comfy beds, but it was within a few blocks of a great pizza place, Starbucks and a Thriftway grocery store to cover all our eating/drinking needs. We enjoyed some "adult" beverages on the large deck while watching the sunset over the water with the mountains in the background - BEAUTIFUL. It was a quiet neighborhood and the home was very well maintained. An absolutely wonderful find for us. The only downfall was the football game and a bad "replacement" referee's call that cost us the game -- so we had to leave town with an L in the Win/Lose column, but we know the Packers really won... Thank you Jan for putting up with my "Hawaiian technology issues" and allowing us to spend time at your beautiful home - we had a great time and loved your place!

We too were disappointed over that last bogus call. It was a hard pill to swallow that loss, especially when it should have been a win for the packers. It really is so assessable to downtown, and within walking distance to restaurants, groceries, and many nice points of interest.   The house was everything we wanted and expected. We had 2 couples and 2 singles and the accommodations worked out very nice. The property was clean and well maintained. The deck was the best! Plenty of room and great view. Our family, attending a wedding, rented 3 houses for 4 nights and our deck ended up being "the place to be". I would recommend this place to anyone.

  The house suited our needs in every way. It is spacious, clean, beautiful, and the views from the large deck are stunning. We could even walk to a grocery store and restaurants. We had a great time in a great house. We love west Seattle. It is convenient to downtown as well as the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

  My family and extended family just stayed here for a week...it was ideal. The house and property are perfectly maintained, the owner is helpful and responsive if anything should go wrong, and the location can't be beat...easy to get everywhere. It's a perfect layout for a large family with several common areas, including a spacious deck, and great kitchen/dinning room layout. When we return, this will the first place I look to rent...hands down. Thank you!!!

  My family of 7 and 2 kids, plus a party on their huge deck with 5 tables and 40 guests was a big hit. We loved this house, the kitchen and eating area was perfect. Parking was never a problem, the flowers and the view from the deck were just beautiful. When we come back to Seattle we will, without a doubt, rent this house again. We loved biking around in the district, we ate at some awesome resturaunts on California Ave, Ma'ono was the best. The house was just perfect and met all our needs. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, your neighbors were very friendly and very nice about the loud gathering we had on the patio. We cooked out on the patio almost every night and ate every meal out on the patio the entire 8 days. The distance from Seattle to your home was so fast and easy, we even biked to downtown Seattle one day. I really can't thank you enough for all that you did for us. Thank you, we will be renting from you again, and I will refer all of our family and friends to rent this home when they visit Seattle. The grocery store, Starbucks, and the vitamin store were a daily walk for us. The beds were so comfortable as well, I don't ever remember waking up in the middle of the night, or tossing and turning at all. Once again, this was such a life saver for us, everything was perfect! The sleeping area and bathroom upstairs was perfect for my 80 year old mother....no stairs. She was able to get around very nicely in her walker, the hardwood floors made it so easy for her. The parks in the area were visited by my grandchildren on a daily basis as well. The Park a couple of blocks away was awesome. I can't think of anything that was unpleasant.....awesome experience. It was nice having a Trader Joe's near by as well.

  A wonderful house - close to restaurants, markets, grocery stores, shops, and beaches. The large deck with its marvelous view is a must for morning coffee and BBQ dinners. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows are "yummy"! The kitchen is well equipped as are both bathrooms. The Host is a delightful woman who is very attentive - she even fulfilled a "special" request. Thank you Jan for letting us feel right at home. This family of 6 adults and 1 toddler would go back in a heartbeat!

  My family of 6 adults and 1 baby had the opportunity to spend a week in West Seattle and had a wonderful trip! This home is warm and inviting and laid out perfectly for a larger group. Not only are there 4 bedrooms but 2 seperate livingroom spaces. My husband and I enjoyed a cartoon with our grand-daughter one evening downstairs while the adults hung out upstairs! The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could ask for. The deck (with amazing views!) appears to be newly redone, allowing my grand-daughter to crawl around both inside and outside without fear of splinters. We use VRBO every year for our vacation and THIS West Seattle gem is far above any we've seen. Jan, thank you again for being so helpful and opening your beautiful home to us!

  My family and I from Oregon and our friends visiting from California (8 adults, 2 children, and 1 baby) enjoyed an amazing 3 day vacation together in mid July in this well equipped, clean, spacious, and comfortable home away from home. The house is deceivingly larger than it looks from the front porch. The two story home is long with big bed rooms, big closets, a large family/game room, a den, a separate laundry room, a long living room with fireplace, and a large dining area with a table that accommodated our entire group. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The giant picture windows and French doors that make up the west wall upstairs are an open invitation to take in the view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. The neighborhood is quiet, and the yard is nicely landscaped and surrounded by a well constructed fence which made us feel even more secure when our grand children went outside. The large deck with padded chairs and the huge maple tree overhead provided a park like setting with incredible views. We grilled steak & salmon on the gas grill, and spent hours on the deck. Temperatures were in the 80’s but the house remained cool and comfortable without air conditioning. Before we found this gem on VRBO, we thought about renting hotel rooms in Seattle to accommodate our large group, but we would have paid so much more for a hotel that could not possibly offer all of the “home away from home” amenities and the peaceful park like setting with the incredible views that we experienced from this home. The owner is so friendly and helpful, that I felt welcomed from the start. I would highly recommend this vacation rental and I am already looking forward to coming back.

  Our family of 8 stayed at this home and had a wonderful time. The home was exactly as represented in the listing. There was plenty of room for our entire family and the kitchen had the amenities needed during our stay. There was always available parking on the street and the lovely deck allowed for a great view of the area. We felt the homes location was in a very quiet neighborhood yet close enough to easily travel to the sites downtown.

  My extended family and I were in town for the Seattle University graduation and stayed at this lovely home. It was a perfect setup for a large family with small children. Three bedrooms are downstairs and an additional door closes at the bottom of the stairway to further isolate the sleeping quarters. We had a graduation celebration upstairs and on the deck while babies slept downstairs completely undisturbed! The layout and furnishings were better than we could have hoped for and the owners were gracious enough to provide two pack-n-plays which our babies enjoyed. The neighborhood is beautiful, convenient and safe and allowed our family members to walk and jog on the long summer nights, we even found a quick route to a park at the water's edge. My mother-in-law is already talking about another visit to the home for a girl's weekend with her sisters.

  My family and I stayed in VRBO 399739 for 6 nights early this summer. It was a truly wonderful experience! The home is well-equipped with fresh linens, lots of kitchen tools and new appliances, clean and comfortable rooms, a beautiful yard, and an amazing view of the Puget Sound. The deck is also amazing! Additionally, the owner was available via phone at the drop of a hat to answer any questions we had. The location on this rental is perfect. West Seattle is a little more low-key than other areas of the city. While you're not in the true downtown part of the city (Pike's Place, City Center, Pier 59, etc), you *are* close to Lincoln Park, Alki Beach, and the Vashon Ferry. You can easily take the bus to Pike's; we did it with 3 boys under the age of 6. The neighborhood is quiet, the street on which this rental is located is lovely, and you're just uphill from a market and a Starbucks. Also, it's good to know that there was always plenty of parking on the street in front of the house. I would absolutely recommend this rental to any and everyone! We were lucky that the owner still had availability for our needs. We enjoyed the Cactus restaurant in Alki Beach, Ly Ly nails on California Ave., and the walking paths at both Lincoln Park and Alki. This place was so great! I can't say enough. Thank you, VRBO 399739, for an awesome trip to the Pacific Northwest!   Needed a West Seattle locaction to bring our family together for a celebration. This property was perfect, accommodating everyone, including our Westie, comfortably. Very clean. Beautiful garden. Relaxed location, but close to Starbucks and other services. Special touches, such as Down blankets and fresh flowers, were appreciated. Owners were very helpful and responsive. All in all....perfect!

  Our family of four visiting from Sweden stayed at this Bungalow and we found it extremely comfortable and a very good location. We arrived to fresh flowers and baskets of goodies! West Seattle has a lot to offer and is out of the bustle of downtown Seattle. We even found a bakery that had a very European feel to it and as we understand, the baker is the only American to win the French baking award. The house is tastefully decorated, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed it so much that we will always book this rental and consider it our home in Seattle when we visit.
