Four of my girlfriends and I visited the house in early April, and we had such a relaxing, fun and memorable weekend. The house was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Although the photos have yet to be updated, the house has a new entertainment system with a large flat-screen TV perfect for movie viewing. The two bathrooms were just right and allowed all 5 of us to get ready quickly (once we decided we'd lounged around in our PJs long enough). There was plenty of room to spread out with the two bedrooms downstairs and the loft above. The view is gorgeous, and we enjoyed strolling along the beach at sunset, watching bald eagles fish on the shore. Port Townsend was only a short drive away, and we had a great time sampling the restaurants and browsing the many cute shops. For Seattle-area residents, this getaway is ideal. Such a short drive to get there, yet you feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Pictures accurate, location description accurate. Property was very well cared for and seemed brand new - very clean. The owner was fantastic to deal with and the property was perfect for us. 3 friends decided about 2 weeks ahead to spend the weekend in the Port Townsend area, the owner was very helpful and accomodating and made our weekend planning very easy. We all could have spent more time there -very relaxing. I would go back in a heartbeat and recommend this place to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed in this house right after Christmas for 6 nights. The house was cleaner than I could have hoped for AND the owner thought of everything we might have forgotten. It was great to have a washer and dryer available and the location was fun. The Ajax cafe (5 minutes away) became our go to spot. This would be a wonderful place for a summer get away as well. Right on the water. We were able to watch eagles fishing from the living room. Awesome! Nordland, Ft. Flagler, Irondale - ever heard of them? Neither had we until after the trip. All worth a visit. Port Townsend was only 20 minutes away and fun as well.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: I am an office manager and have worked with the same company since 1978. I have two sons and three grandchildren, two of which have graduated from High School. My husband and I do most of the work at the beach house. We purchased the property in 1990 and built a new house in 2002 with the help of a designer and carpenter. We were going with the footprint of the house and our designer spent some time on the property and designed the house as you see in the pictures. We fell in love with the design at first sight. The carpenter who helped us build the house is our neighbor. The stainless steel railing up the stairs and in the loft was my husband's idea which he fabricated in our shop. The wood railing up the stairs and in the loft is curley maple which he purchased at a lumber mill in our area and stained in our shop. We spent many hours at the beach building this home. We have not spent as much time as we would like at the beach because our lives have been busy with other thing. We hope someday to enjoy the house as much as our guests have over the last 10 years.
Why the Owner Chose Port Townsend:
My family has been on the Olympic Peninsula for over 125 years. We love the area we grew up in and enjoy the bay.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I enjoy the view. There is always something different to see, whether there is a storm coming in on the water or on a beautiful sunny day you can sit outside and enjoy the tide coming in or going out. It is so peaceful watching the birds feeding where the water meets the shore and wonderful seeing the pleasure craft boats going thru the cut.
