Situated five miles from Penn Yan on East Lake Road, the lot is on level land with ample off-street parking. The large grass field behind the lake house is great for throwing a ball or frisbee or just running around with the kids. The newly remodeled lake house is open and bright with cathedral ceilings in the lakefront living room and kitchen. Dual sliding glass doors facing the lake provide stunning views. The sliding glass doors open to a spacious deck where you and your family and friends can enjoy your breakfast while taking in the beauty of the lake. A few steps down from the deck is the gradual sloped beach. Take a lounge chair or your fishing pole out on the large L shaped dock and catch a tan or your dinner or both. The water depth at the end of the dock is deep enough to dock your boat. Grill your lunch and dinner on the new four burner gas grill on the lake side patio. The large picnic table (seats 12), and other outdoor furniture are a few feet from the grilling area.
After dinner, sip on your favorite beverage and get prepared to view a glistening sunset dropping behind the westside hill and across beautiful Keuka Lake.
Have the family and friends gather up some fire wood for the firepit on the beach. A bonfire circled with family and friends, making s'mores, roasting marshmallows, and just laughing provides quality fun and everlasting memories.
There are four spacious bedrooms. There are 3 bedrms on the main floor. The Master bedroom has a queen bed with private entrance to a full bath, the back bedrm has 2 new bunk beds sleeping 4 children or adults, and the other bedroom has 1 double and 1 full bed. The very spacious upstairs loft/bedroom area has 2 queen beds and a lounging area with a TV/DVD player with multiple DVD's and an adjacent bathrm with a tub/shower. My family and I stayed here for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The property was very clean and has very nice grounds for playing games, throwing a ball around, etc. The grill had an extra propane tank and was in great working condition. The deck was just re-done and looks different than the current photos show, in a good way. The views from the living room and upper loft are great. The sunset wasn't as great as it typically is on that side of the lake when we were there, seemed like just a few houses south had the great view. The rooms are pretty close together, so if you have a small baby, need to factor that in. Overall I would recommend the place for those looking for a place on Keuka.Did you find this review helpful? We had a great trip, and the Lake House is everything I had hoped it would be. The pictures do not do it justice. It was clean, charming and relaxing, with more room than we needed. We've stayed on East Lake Road before, but never before at a location that wasn't on a steep slope. There was no concern about kids falling down an incline or elders having steep steps to conquer. The fire pit on the beach was used each night, and we enjoyed our coffee on the deck each morning. The owners were very accommodating to our schedules, and answered every inquiry promptly. I hope to stay at their property again next summer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay on Keuka Lake. The house was spacious, clean and well appointed. Everything worked well. It accomodated my wife & I and our 2 children and their spouses, a toddler grandchild and my father easily. The yard was nice, plenty of parking. The beach was fairly sandy - nice for our grandson to wade in , yet with a rapid enough dropoff to deep water so that it was easy to launch our sailing kayaks. The front yard was fairly level down to the lake, easy for my 85 year old dad to get down to the water. The water was perfectly clear. Some weed further out in the lake, but nothing like the other finger lakes. Definitely the nicest of the finger lakes we've sailed. The neighbors are quite close, but very friendly. The nieghborhood was very quiet. Easy drive to get to town for supplies, etc. A little challenging to find, don't rely on a GPS. Would be difficult to find in the dark.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My family and friends had an exceptional week. It was clean, neat and spacious enough for our kids to play inside and out. The neighbors on the left side of the house were very friendly and very helpful - they supplied a beautiful fireworks show one of the evenings we were there. The view from the dock and the porch were priceless. We will try to go back again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, age 55+.

My family/extended family of 14 stayed in this home for a week in June. The home is in an ideal waterfront location on Keuka Lake, with flat beach access. Many of the homes have LOTS of steps and/or steep climbs down to the dock/water but this one is does not which was perfect for my aging parents. The view of the lake from this home was as good as it gets! An expanse, unobstructed view that was the best I have seen. I can't put into words how beautiful the lake/location was and how much fun our family had. The house comfortably slept 14, but understand that the the living space and kitchen were quite small. This was no issue at all for us because we lived outside the entire time we were there (grilled and ate every meal) outside but some renters may take issue with it. The back yard was awesome for playing crochet and we set up a volleyball/badminton net and had a blast with daily family "challenges". The kitchen was reasonably equipped although there was no dishwasher. Again, no big deal for us because we used mostly paper/plastic disposable products. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that I would have preferred to have a cleaning service fee built into rental cost instead of being responsible for cleaning it myself before departure. I feel this way for 2 reasons; 1) When trying to pack up a big family after a week's stay and get on the road, the last thing I want to have to worry about is scrubbing showers, toilets, etc...2) The idea that the people who stayed there before me could do a half assed job cleaning prior to departure (and I'm not saying they did but it's always possible for this happen) is just icky. I would so much rather have a home professionally cleaned before my arrival and have that cost as part of the rental. Other than that, it was a perfect place and an AMAZING trip!! And btw, the neighbors, Phil and Holly were the best!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our visit to this area and this cottage. We have 2 young children (2 yrs old and 9 months old) and the place worked out really well for us as we visited with aunts/uncles, grandparents, etc. There was lots of room and space for everyone and the bedrooms were just as described and well taken care of. The common spaces were open and spacious and offered enough room for cooking and relaxing together. By far our favourite part of the place was outside - the beach and dock, the large deck and picnic table area, and the large lawn out back all provided ample space for everyone to relax, play, eat meals outside, have campfires, and enjoy the gorgeous area. The location was close enough to towns and places to visit that we had many options for different day trips while still working around kiddos nap schedules. The owners were reliable and responsive, and we found that the description of the cottage met our expectations and offered us a nice, basic cottage without too many "fancy nick nacks" or the like to worry about with kids! (the only downside we found was having to bring our own linens for all the beds was a bit of a pain, but appreciated that the cleaning fee was less than other cottages that supplied them)Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.
