My family had a great time at this wonderful beach house. This home is comfortable and was just as relaxing as we had hoped. We enjoyed being just a short walk to the beach and even closer to shopping. The home is well stocked and when I forgot the condiments at the grocery store "Ralphs", which is right around the corner, it was great to look in the cabinet to see the everything was fully stocked. The board games and croquet on the lawn was great family time when just lounging around the house. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home.

March break get-away in Laguna

We had a wonderful time in Laguna Beach! Even though we had loads of rain on the second day and very windy conditions on the third day...the house was located in a great spot, close to the beach, far enough from the night noises while walking distance to everything, stores, restaurant, galleries, beach...we hiked up the canyon, kayaked off Dana Point to the south, visited Newport beach and Orange County Art Museum and paddle boarded the last afternoon. The house was quaint, cosy, spacious enough for my teenage boys and on a quiet street so we could read our books in the front garden in the sun. Great holiday! Would love to return to Laguna and definetely recommend the house and town!

We had a great family weekend with my husband and I, our children and their partners - totalling eight adults. It was a cozy cottage and the owner made the effort to have the little extras we might need - condiments in the fridge, shampoo and conditioner that we forgot, etc. There were board games that we enjoyed playing and the cottage was within walking distance to the village where we could shop, eat, and go to the great Saturday morning Farmer's Market. The owner was very accessible for questions and the property was a bit cluttered but very well maintained. I think it seemed cluttered because she had everything that a family might need - high chair, port a crib, extra blankets and air mattresses. Our little dog really enjoyed the fenced in yard, too. Great weekend - you'll enjoy the cottage.

This clean, charming and fully equipped house had enough space for all of us (four adults and three children), we always felt very comfortable there. The owner provided very useful information about Laguna Beach, and communication with her was always very pleasant. The home served as a great base for our visit to Laguna Beach with its wonderful beaches, shops and restaurants.

Eight of us stayed at the cottage and had a great time. This place is very close to all the shops and .03 miles away from the beach. The front yard let my 2 and 5 year play outside. The weather was about 79 degrees the whole time we stayed there. The only thing is that the beds are a little hard. Otherwise it's a great place to stay and relax.

Charming cottage, great location, major clutter

There was so much clutter that we had a hard time finding anything. The mattress in the master bedroom is so old and lumpy it was difficult to get a good night's sleep on it....we padded it with quilts but it didn't help much. If your going to rent to families with small children you should get rid of the fire pit because it is filled with pieces of glass...very dangerous! How about some new towels! The outside shower came in handy since there were 9 of us. You could use some cookware that is in a little better condition, with lids and handles. All in all it was an interesting experience. Not likely to rent it again.

Owner response:Two mattresses have been replaced. The old matresses were firm, but not lumpy. Outdoor open burning has been banned, so only the colored glass propane firepits are allowed. It is covered with a heavy cover/lid that cannot be easily removed. There are 12 brand new towels, and about 50 other towels that are beach towels, sand towels, etc, that can be taken out of the cottage. The nice towels are hidden under the kitchen counter cabinet near the bathroom. There are 2 of every appliance, so there are lots of items on the kitchen counters for your convenience. All the collectibles, seashells, etc are placed up high, so children cannot reach them. The cottage is safe, cozy, and well-equipped. Maybe 9-10 adults would need to use an extra one of our queen air mattresses to have enough sleeping space. Marianne, owner

The house had everything we needed, but not having a bathroom in the 4th bedroom/garage was a inconvenience. Loved the location, a short walk to the beach and having use of toys, etc... made it nice for the little ones.

Owner response:The suite adjacent to the house has a brand new jetted Jacuzzi tub. We added the suite with a 4th bedroom, without raising the rent. Rent has been the same as for a 3 bedroom cottage. One family needed a tub for bathing a handicapped child, instead of using a shower...so we added the tub for convenience. The cottage has 2 toilets inside, so a third would have been unnecessary and costly. For 8 adults, plus children, the cottage has 4 queen and king beds, 2 large sofas, and 3 inflatable queen airmattresses. Lots of sleeping areas and baths. Marianne, owner

We had the best experience. The owner was fantastic and the accommodations matched the descriptions/pictures well. The backyard was more of a patio, however the front yard was where we preferred to be anyway. We never drove our cars because restaurants, bars, shopping, and beaches were within 5 minute walk. The home and neighborhood were very clean. I would definitely recommend.

Laguna Beach Cottage

Walking up to the front door thru the white picket fenced lush front yard we knew we wanted to stay longer than planned. Cottage is clean,cozy and well stocked--5 minute walk to the spectacular beach and village--PLUS the ability to park our 4x6 trailer and our auto at the side of the cottage. We never unloaded it--the cottage had EVERYTHING!!!!! Hope to visit again soon---Don't miss dining at The Cliff, overlooking to ocean--service and food

Hi, Marianne! Thank you so much for letting us visit your beautiful cottage in Laguna Beach. Our family had a wonderful time celebrating my 60th Birthday. The restaurants you recommended were all close by and fantastic. The kids loved the games and videos you provided, and fell asleep watching movies, just exhausted from the Beach. Our dog did great in the fenced yard, and the kids felt safe ,too. The cottage was exquisite, the Beach uncrowded, and the view as we walked to the beach was breathtaking. The neighbors greeted us warmly, and Steve brought us a bottle of wine, after talking. He is from Vegas as well. We will be back soon, and have referred our friends to your lovely home! We had a great time staying at this cottage. I went with a group of my girlfriends to celebrate a Birthday. The cottage is in a great location, is adorable, and is very spacious. The owner is easy to communicate with. I look forward to staying there again!

Owner response:The cottage is 107 steps to the Farmers' Market, every Saturday morning from 8 am to Noon. At the Market there are enough foods for a feast, many gluten-free, and all organic. There are Spinach/cheese crepes, fresh tamales (4 varieties), $1 bags of each type of vegetable, $3 baskets of fresh strawberries, and all other fruits, Buttered pound cakes, and all the Bundt cakes made from lemon, chocolate, puddings, coconut, etc. They also sell all the tropical and Laguna Beach fresh flowers, amazingly fragrant, and cacti, some souvenir plants, and all sorts of huge bags of organic crops! Great place to be Healthy! and just steps away from the cottage at the Laguna Highway 133, and Forest, down Third Street from our cottage, next to the City Hall and Fire Dept, that you saw in the way to the cottage. The corner is empty parking until magically every Saturday morning it transforms! Marianne

The Perfect Beach Cottage!!!

This Laguna cottage was absolutely perfect for a weekend get away. Its walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, a few bars, Ralph's and Taco Bell. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, and its the perfect size. While I was initially learn of the outdoor shower that serves as the second house shower, it had very hot water and was kind of a nice experience. The outdoor fire pit and seating area takes advantage of the mild southern california nighttime weather and is a great place to relax. I will definitely come back here again and again!

We recently stayed at this charming cottage with our 2 kids and another couple. From the moment we entered the house, we felt at home in the well appointed and warm decor. We found the cottage to be cozy and ideal for all our needs. Plenty of space with all the amenities one could ask for. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable, and it is perfectly situated near beaches, stores, and restaurants. We'd highly recommend this property as a getaway destination for families or small groups. This beach town cottage is adorable, on a quiet and picturesque street. The home is fully furnished and very comfortable, with a lot of nice little extras - BBQ, front yard porch, backyard entertainment area, big screen TV. We love Laguna Beach and have been a few times..we choose this for the location to Main Beach and its within walking distance (literally a couple blocks) to the beach, restaurants, library, everything!! It was very "homey" . Pefect for us and our older dog. If you have kids, I could see this working really well. Say for 2 Adults and 2 smaller kids/ teens. But it does have 2 regular sized bedrooms that are very spacious and then one smaller room that would be perfect for the kids to share.. (one bed). There is also another room (where the washing machine is) that is attached to the house a coverted garage? that could serve as an extra bedroom for say teens or adults with a blow up mattress on the floor..it's kinda dark but? if nothing else, could be a place for them to have to themselves? They have 1 1/2 baths. Shower only. No tub. (if that matters to you). But they also have a cute outdoor shower for use too. They really do have everything one could need6 . The kitchen and dining table are quite large. The dining area itself is not roomy but would suffice if dining inside..could fit 6 comfortably..8 might be cramped.. But enough outside seating too. All the bbq's etc. benches chairs..nothing is really fancy here but it's clean and casual. The owner was very easy to communicate with and always got back with us quickly..(which is a plus on this site).

Owner response:The area now has been remodeled, and has insulation, wainscoating, carpet, new queen sofabed, heat, ceiling fan, refrigerator, microwave, rolltop desk, armoire, 3 lamps, 2 chairs in what was once the garage. We have never used it as a garage, though. It has wifi reception. The sofabed has double mattress padding, and 3 comforters, and 4 pillows. Unfortunately, the maids close it up after they clean, so we put up a sign saying it is a sofabed. Two doors open on either side of the room, so there is light and lots of cross ventilation. It is a bonus room, and 4th bedroom, and has a fax as well. About 1200 square feet of space are available in our cottage for indoor use. The Owner

We stayed at this darling home for our girls only trip! Six of us slept more than comfortably in this adorable home. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the great firepit (the s'mores and bonding time was exceptional), and the perfect location!! Through street is just a short walk up the hill from Main Beach and the central shopping and restaurants of Laguna Beach. I would highly recommend this cottage for those looking for a personal retreat in a beautiful, charming setting of Laguna Beach! Our experience at the cottage was great! There is a true Laguna vibe to this place to go along with it's quaint setting. It is located within walking distance to great shopping and food downtown. Our crew was 7 Skimboarders deep and we had plenty of comfortable places to sleep. 3 big beds, a pull out sofa bed, couches and even air mattresses that were at the cottage for us to use. We spent lots of time chilling in the front yard and side patio which has a nice little fire pit we put use in the evening. Nice outdoor shower and beach toys to use. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. I could definitely see us renting this place again and would recommend it to anyone else that wants a nice place to stay in Laguna Beach.

The listing description was very accurate. The owner was very prompt to respond to all of my emails and made it very easy to check-in. A total of 7 people stayed at this place. It was cozy and the house offered lots of amenities such as: wireless internet, DVR, ceiling fans, front porch, outdoor shower, lots of beach supplies (coolers, smashball, games), and more. All in all, I would recommend this cottage to anyone else. It is a 5 minute walk to downtown allowing quick ingress, and egress from the home.

We loved staying at this cottage. The beach and village is a short walk away. The cottage is well stocked with towels, beach toys, and a washer and dryer. The outdoor shower was perfect for our family with 5 boys. We could come in from the beach and they could take a hot shower outside, without tracking any sand indoors. We will definitely be back!

such a great experience! from the start the owner was friendly and very helpful in arranging our stay and offering advice on things to do and where to go, the cottage is everything and has everything you'd want for a wonderful beach vacation. the location is fantastic, a very short walk to everywhere- the beach, shopping, dining, etc. the cottage was very comfortable with every amenity and although a "cottage" it was spacious and clean. i hope to stay there again soon!

This is truly a gem, and a great place to stay. The surrounding area speaks for itself, but this cottage truly feels like a home a way from home! There is easy access to the beach and grocery store, and the place itself is a wonderful combination of comfort and relaxation. The kitchen and outside grill are great when we felt like cooking something delicious ourselves. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet, and it was a perfect getaway for me and a few friends. I can't wait to come back!

Owner response:Thank you for the lovely review! We always park the cars..and walk the few blocks to Ralph's (open 6 am to 1 pm) Grocery, or Whole Foods (3 blocks center of downtown). We now have 2 outdoor BBQ's, and 3 bottles of Propane. The Aqua and sea green reflective cut glass pellet Firepit also runs on Propane, and is so relaxing at night, with seating on the patio for 6-8. The beds are all real beds, queens and kings, and the sofas and double-padded inflatable beds sleep 6 more people, for a total of 15 with the portacrib. The pantry is full: coffee, tea, cocoa, popcorn, pasta, all spices, oils, vinegars, beverage mixes, canned vegetables, canned fruits, cereals, oatmeal, all filters, paper picnic plates, napkins, plastic utensils, 3 coolers, 2 that roll...and our little red picnic wagon! Enjoy our Paradise at Laguna Beach and the surrounding stores, theaters (1 movie, Pageant of the Masters, and the live theater.) Dr. Marianne Spamer and Family

Hello, I stayed in February and allow it wasn't perfect beach weather, it was still a perfect stay. My family and I walked to the ocean every day! The area is very nice with shops and beautiful ocean scenery. As for the house - it was great! Everything in the kitchen was working and we cooked many nights. TV's in every room so we could relax inside after a day outside. The front lawn is great too - nice picket fence.

I absolute love Laguna Beach and this cottage is so close to all the great things about the quaint town. The family and I walked the couple of blocks to the beach everyday and ate at several of the good restaurants in town. The cottage is very cute and provides a great setting for relaxing. The beds are high quality (something i am always worried about when renting a home), and I will hopefully return to Southern California soon!

Location, location, location!! Couldn't ask for a better location! Right in town. Park your car and walk to everything. House was incredibley kid friendly. Our older kids were in heaven with all the board games and outdoor toys to play with. Our 8 month old could crawl around the house and we didn't have to worry about her getting into too much trouble, even though she's always looking for it :) Owner was very nice to deal with. We've already passed along the house info to our friends in the area.
