Best rental we've ever had. Beautiful scenery and the accomodations were just the tops. The owners were welcoming, hospitable, and very helpful. Well kept property, nicely stocked kitchen (many spices available, at other VRBOs we've only had salt and pepper). I just can't say enough about the owners and the accomodations. 2 early elementary age children and mom and dad stayed, kids loved the pictures and description before we came and they loved it even more while we were there. Friendly dogs and horses as well. We stayed 3 nights, could have stayed much longer, will be back next year. Great location between Cody and Yellowstone.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for your great review. We strive to have things in the Bunkhouse that we would like to have if we were the guest, it saves people a lot of money to have spices, coffee, paper products and condiments that they would have to leave behind. We will look forward to seeing you and your family next year.

We fulfilled a long standing ambition to visit Yellowstone and this area of Wyoming. This outstanding cabin and Patricia and Ward's friendliness should be bottled and made available for all other owners of rental accommodation. Everything possible is provided in the cabin and the friendly and hospitable owners on site to provide further information make this the perfect base for exploring the park and surrounding countryside. Our only regret is that we only had 4 days available during our US road trip and wished we could have stayed much longer.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Tony and Sue for booking with us and we hope to have you come again. We enjoyed our time with you and also wish the time could have been longer. You are always welcome where ever we may be. Ward and Patricia

My husband and I traveled to Montana and Wyoming in September and stayed in several different VRBO cabins. The Bunkhouse was by far our favorite!! Patricia and Ward are amazing hosts and the bunkhouse has all of the comforts of home and more. It was just how it was described, but even better. The location is convenient for traveling in and out of Yellowstone NP and Cody. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Thank you Patricia and Ward. We have recommended your rental to friends and family and hope we can make it out to visit again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was awesome. It was so comfortable and supplied with your every need. The location was perfect between Cody and Yellowstone. My sister, Mary Ellen, and I had our coffee on the porch every morning and the mountains and sunrises were spectacular. It was fun watching the horses come to the fence for their breakfast. The dogs, Buck and Scooter were fun to have around. We enjoyed sitting beside the stream during the day and hearing it from our bedroom window at night. Ward and Patricia were wonderful hosts. We couldn't have chosen a more comfortable place to spend ten days. It was not nearly long enough. We would not hesitate to recommend the cabin to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The Bunkhouse cabin was just as described and more. Perfectly clean and well appointed and tucked away in the gorgeous Wapiti Valley - convenient to charming Cody and magnificent Yellowstone NP. The porch was cozy with great views and the gurgling stream nearby was the perfect lullaby each night. Our hosts were gracious and saw to our every need, including great tips about the area and hooking us up with trail riding nearby. If I could say just one word about this cabin and the Yellowstone region, it would be "GO".Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Ward and Patricia make this stay the best it can be. We commuted into Yellowstone most days and really enjoyed the commute through Wapiti Valley. The location 20 minutes west of Cody really helped get us closer to the parks we wanted to explore. Ward suggested a fantastic hiking path down the road and Patricia helped us find a great place for a horse ride. The Bungalow has a lot of amenities, every inch of the place is used effectively, and the special details and touches add to the stay. The gym is very nice - even though most of our workout was done on the trail! The Wapiti valley is just beautiful.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I HAVE VIEWED AND STAYED IN MANY HOMES IN THE CODY AREA. THIS CABIN TOPS EVERYTHING. THE HOSTS HAVE THOUGHT OF EVERY DETAIL (INCLUDING A MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER) SO THAT THIS ONE BEDROOM UNIT WORKS GREAT FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR. THE NORTH FORK IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE AND WAS FISHING BETTER THAN EVER! ALSO A BEAUTIFUL AND EASY DRIVE TO CODY ALL THE KITCHEN AND COOKING INSTRUMENTS WERE EFFICIENTLY STORED AND AVAILABLE. THE HOSTS EVEN REPLACED THE GRILL DURING OUR STAY. ALL THE AMENITIES OF HOME BUT STILL IN A CABIN WITH 360 PANORAMIC MOUNTAIN VIEWS. THE WORST PART WAS...WE HAD TO GO HOME!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The bunkhouse had everything we hoped for (and more) in a vacation rental -- great location, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of room to comfortably fit two adults, two kids and a large dog. The attached gym is exceptional. What truly made our stay in Cody memorable, though, was Ward and Patricia's hospitality. They were such gracious hosts, providing lots of information about Yellowstone and Cody, suggesting local hikes, and allowing the kids to explore the creek -- even horseback riding lessons. Honestly, it was the first VRBO experience where we felt like welcomed guests instead of just renters. We really enjoyed getting to know Ward and Patricia and exploring the breathtakingly beautiful area around Cody. The kids are already campaigning for a return trip.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

One of our favorite things about our 3500 mile trip out West was retreating to the Bunkhouse in the mornings and evenings of our time in Yellowstone! Patricia and Ward are extremely hospitable and generous with the accommodations at the bunkhouse. You will not find a better place for the location or price! We would highly recommend this place to anyone, and hope to return there again someday soon. Ward is extremely knowledgeable about Yellowstone and can help with planning your time there, and Patricia has thought of everything and is very warm and hospitable! You will be glad that you stayed at their place!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Ward & I (Patricia) have been retired for several years.Ward is an avid skier and I have a great woodworking shop but we also have 3 horses and a mule and try to spend as much time as possible on horseback.
Why the Owner Chose Cody:
Ward , in his working life, was a corporate pilot and visited Cody many times during his career. He loved this area so much that you told himself that he would retire here.
I visited Cody in 1981 with my son and also fell in love with this area. We met in Atlanta many years and married.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
One of the best things about waking in the morning is the beautiful view. The creek runs between our cabin and YOURS and it sounds so wonderful when you get ready for sleep. We have 81 acres and enjoy having our horses at our home.
