A delightful, calm and airy 1-bedroom apartment of 25m2 (270 sq ft) with shower and kitchen, fully furnished with lots of light and equipped with everything you’ll need for your comfort and convenience. When you meander through the winding cobble-stoned streets of Montmartre, you will feel like you are back in another time and place... yet you are only minutes from the bustling center of Paris: the perfect balance of great location, comfort, and good value for your money.

As you enter the apartment, you’ll find yourself in the spacious salon (living room) with open-plan ('U.S.') kitchen. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, clothes washing machine, microwave/grill oven combo, coffee maker, tea pot, and all the necessary dishes and cookware. The breakfast bar provides two stools for dining, unless you prefer to dine at the coffee table.
The salon contains a sofa-bed (queen-size) which sleeps two, and storage for your clothing. Three large windows provide you with lots of natural light and fresh air. We have recently added a TV/DVD with cable service, and free broadband Internet/WiFi is provided. We also provide a land-line phone with free local and international calls (to 150 countries). A small selection of books in both English and French is available, should you desire something to read. We also include an iPod/MP3 player with alarm clock-radio.
Off the salon are two doors: one is for the WC/toilet (it is quite typical in France for the toilet to be located in a separate “closet” from the bathing facilities; that’s simply how the French prefer it!), the other leads to the bedroom and shower room.
The bedroom contains a comfortable queen-size bed (140x190cm), shelves, and a small armoire. A double window provides a lovely view, so typical of Montmartre, of private courtyards and balconies as well as some green space. Located off the street at the back of the apartment, this room allows for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sight-seeing!
Just off the bedroom is the compact but fully updated white-tiled shower room with stall shower and sink; a hairdryer is provided.
The apartment comes equipped with fresh bed linens and towels for each guest. Although there is no air-conditioning, in warm weather we provide oscillating fans, and the double exposure generally provides good air flow through the apartment.
Your host will be waiting for you* at the apartment at the agreed-upon arrival time, to provide you with the keys/door security code and to give you a tour of the apartment and amenities. When you arrive, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine, fruit juice, bottled water and some light snacks waiting to welcome and refresh you after your journey. We can provide you with directions to a nearby supermarket or convenience store so you can stock up on anything else you need. (Just 2-3 minutes away at Place des Abbesses is a prize-winning boulangerie, and the Rue Lepic market has many wonderful food shops.)
*In the event we cannot greet you in person, we have a secure key safe and will provide you with all the information you need to access the apartment and settle in for your vacation.
To make your stay easy and enjoyable, a directory is provided in the apartment containing such useful information as how to operate the appliances, local restaurant and shopping recommendations, maps/information on public transportation, and much more! We live nearby and are only a phone call away in the event there is any difficulty and you need assistance.
Although the apartment is quite comfortable for up to 4 adults, more than 4 people are not permitted; we simply do not have the extra sleeping space. The apartment is not equipped for infants and very young children under age 7 (no crib, no childproofing on windows or in the apartment) but older children are very welcome. There is no elevator, but the apartment is just one floor above the ground floor. (Please keep in mind that Montmartre is a very large hill and quite steep in spots, with cobblestones and uneven sidewalks. Also, our apartment's shower room is fully updated but a bit narrow. Larger guests or guests with mobility issues may want to keep these considerations in mind before booking.)
We typically rent for terms from a minimum of 3 days to up to 3 months. In certain circumstances, we would consider a longer-term arrangement, so please feel free to inquire.
This is a 100% non-smoking apartment.

Excellent Stay in a Vibrant Location

This was my first experience with VRBO and I will admit I was initially hesitant about booking a property using this method. However, any fears I may have had, were certainly quickly allayed by my experience. The owners of this property were extremely hospitable. Before arrival, communications were prompt and detailed, offering much more than I expected. Check in was smooth, even though our flight was delayed. The attention to detail with the provision of some basic supplies went beyond what we had expected. Whilst the apt is small by US standards, for our stay (2 single females for 7 days) it was sufficient. We never actually felt cramped even though we were utilising both the bedroom and sofa bed for sleeping. The quality of the furnishings are first rate. The bed was extremely comfortable, the sheets and duvet felt luxurious and we slept extremely well. The apt is located in an extremely vibrant neighbourhood. There are plenty of restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, shoe and clothing stores on the doorstep. The only thing which may be negative for some would be there are two bars located close by and there is some noise. If you like to be in bed by 9 p.m. this may not be the place for you. However, I would say at no time were we unable to sleep due to the bar noise. By 10 p.m. it had noticeably quietened down. We actually felt that the bar actually added to our experience, it enhanced that feeling of being in the midst of it all. In the mornings we enjoyed getting up early and walking to Sacre Coeur to enjoy it before the tourist hordes arrived. Without any hesitation I recommend this property to anyone looking for a haven in Paris. As a regular visitor to the city I would say after our experience at this property it is unlikely I will stay at a hotel in Paris again. The owners of this property go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to be one of the first guests at this property.
Owner response:As our very first guests, we are so pleased to know that you both enjoyed your stay with us, and found the apartment both comfortable and well-situated. We agree - the excellent neighborhood, with so many amenities, was a primary reason we chose this apartment! We hope to see you again the next time you come to Paris, and thank you again for taking such good care of our apartment during your stay.

We spent 5 days there over Easter Break with our 12 year old and 16 year old. The apartment was cozy and conveniently located within walking distance to Sacre Couer, Moulin Rouge, and the Montmartre Area. There were several Metro stations within easy walking distance. The management was very nice and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Owner response:Thank you, Debbi! It was such a pleasure meeting you and your family, and we're delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to see you again in the future.

I rented this apartment for 16 months while in Paris for a work assignment. It was clean, newly renovated, nicely decorated and had everything I needed to be comfortable. Loved the neighborhood! New owners* have been very helpful and responsive when I've needed anything. Would definitely consider staying here again! *Starting in December 2011
