The apartment, which sleeps up to 4 people, is located on Rue Durantin, just one block from Rue des Abbesses, Rue Lepic (of Amélie Poulain fame!) and a quick walk to the Abbesses/Blanche metro stops. Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge are less than a 10-min walk away; good transportation whisks you to the heart of Paris in under 20 minutes!

- linens, towels, hairdryer, cookware, dishes – all provided
- FREE WiFi/broadband Internet
- FREE phone calls to US, Canada, Europe & 150 countries world-wide

As you enter the apartment, you’ll find yourself in the spacious salon (living room) with open-plan ('U.S.') kitchen. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, clothes washing machine, microwave/grill oven combo, coffee maker, tea pot, and all the necessary dishes and cookware. The breakfast bar provides two stools for dining, unless you prefer to dine at the coffee table.
The salon contains a sofa-bed (queen-size) which sleeps two, and storage for your clothing. Three large windows provide you with lots of natural light and fresh air. We have a flatscreen TV with DVD/Blueray and cable service, and free broadband Internet/WiFi is provided. We also provide a land-line phone with free local and international calls (to 150 countries). A small selection of books is available, should you desire something to read. We also include an iPhone/iPod/MP3 player/recharger with alarm clock-radio.
Off the salon are two doors: one is for the WC/toilet (it is quite typical in France for the toilet to be located in a separate “closet” from the bathing facilities; that’s simply how the French prefer it!), the other leads to the bedroom and shower room.
The bedroom contains a comfortable queen-size bed (140x190cm), shelves, and a small armoire. A double window provides a lovely view, so typical of Montmartre, of private courtyards and balconies as well as some green space. Located off the street at the back of the apartment, this room allows for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sight-seeing!
Just off the bedroom is the compact but fully updated white-tiled shower room with stall shower and sink; a hairdryer, iron and ironing board are provided.
The apartment comes equipped with fresh bed linens and towels for each guest. Although there is no air-conditioning, in warm weather we provide oscillating fans, and the double exposure generally provides good air flow through the apartment.
Your host will be waiting for you* at the apartment at the agreed-upon arrival time, to provide you with the keys and to give you a tour of the apartment and its amenities. When you arrive, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine and some light snacks waiting to welcome and refresh you after your journey. We can provide you with directions to a nearby supermarket or convenience store so you can stock up on anything else you need; there are many wonderful specialty food shops in the immediate area, too!
*In the event we cannot greet you in person, we have a secure key safe and will provide you with all the information you need to access the apartment and settle in for your vacation.
To make your stay easy and enjoyable, a directory is provided in the apartment containing such useful information as how to operate the appliances, local restaurant and shopping recommendations, maps/information on public transportation, and much more! We live nearby and are only a phone call away in the event there is any difficulty and you need assistance.
SUITABILITY:
- Although the apartment is quite comfortable for up to 4 adults/children, more than 4 people are not permitted under ANY circumstances and we do not permit the use of air mattresses or sleeping bags.
- The apartment is not equipped or safe for infants and very young children under age 7 (no crib, no childproofing on windows) but children 7 and up are very welcome.
- IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that Montmartre is a very large hill and quite steep in spots, with cobblestones and uneven sidewalks. There is a bit of a climb to reach our apartment from the main streets of Rue des Abbesses and Rue Lepic. Our shower room is fully updated but a bit narrow. Also, the apartment is one flight of stairs above the ground floor with no elevator, and you must be able to carry your own luggage up/down the stairs (no elevator). Larger guests, seniors or guests with mobility issues may want to keep these considerations in mind BEFORE booking.
We rent for terms with a minimum of 4 nights to up to 3 months. In certain circumstances, we would consider a longer-term arrangement, so please feel free to inquire.
THIS IS A 100% NON-SMOKING APARTMENT.

Lisa's apartment was perfect for us. There were four of us traveling to Paris to run the marathon with a friend who lives two streets away, so we wanted to be in the neighborhood. The location and apartment were perfect. Metro stations, great food, shops, and galleries are all around the apartment, and Lisa is an amazing host. We would stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was the first time using Airbnb and it won't be the last. I made the arrangements for my daughter and two friends to stay. Lisa was great from the beginning to the end. She was very helpful with information for the girls' trip prior and while they were visiting, even calling for a taxi for the girls' trip to the airport. The girls thought the apartment was really nice and very clean. They felt safe traveling around the area as well. I definitely recommend Lisa's flat for renting as a reasonable stay complimented by Lisa as an informative and welcoming host.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was my first time using AirBnB and I have to say I am so happy that I was fortunate enough to share that experience with Lisa. She was beyond hospitable in welcoming us and making us feel at home, the place was cozy and incredibly clean, and I'd encourage everyone looking for a place to stay in Paris to contact Lisa.Did you find this review helpful? Aloha Lisa! Sorry for the delay in writing this but things got busy at home. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at your apartment. The apartment was perfect for us and was very quiet even with the bars on the corners which is perfect for someone wishing to mingle with the locals. We felt it fit well with the Paris scene to be near the people. Although folks would linger outside the small bar/cafe it was never an issue the whole month we were there. The apartment is in a perfect and safe location just one block from the main Abbesses street then a couple short blocks to the metro. Every place was within walking distance and the hills were not so bad even for an overweight person like myself. Believe me we walked every single street within the area both during the day and evening and we felt comfortable doing so. The jazz restaurant/club Autour de Midi is only a five minute walk on rue Lepic and a must listen for those wishing to experience the local jazz scene. The restaurant Saint Jean near the metro also had some great music and there was a restaurant up the hill near the Sacre Couer at the square where the artists hang out also had nightly jazz and other music. As I mentioned everything is within walking distance with a local fish market (fresh daily) just down the block and many other cafes/bakeries to choose from... too many great ones to mention. You must simply walk around and discover them yourself. It was nice to have the lock box to store the keys each time we left so we would not have to worry about losing them and only a few steps up to your flat was nice as well. The apartment is exactly as described and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to have a good nights sleep after an enjoyable visit to the various sites both locally (lots to see in Montmartre) and in the city. Both the bus and metro were easy to use (we bought a month pass good for both)...gosh just writing this makes me want to come back and I know my wife would agree. Staying for one month in this apartment worked very well for us and those staying less I'm certain will enjoy the apartment as well. Thanks for the goodies you had for us when we arrived and the extra time and personal efforts you provided in making our stay most memorable. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to visit with you again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: It was such a pleasure to have you staying with us for a full month, and thank you again for taking such good care of the apartment. We are very happy your trip to Paris and Montmartre was such a big success, and we hope to see you again on your next trip.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying in Lisa and Georges’ gorgeous Montmartre apartment in July. What a magnificent find! The neighborhood is spectacular – a little village within the city, and so accessible to everything by bus and train. You will be very happy that you stayed there. It’s romantic and charming – everything that Paris should be. The apartment is immaculate! It’s decorated in a very charming style, and has all the amenities one could want. Just as described and pictured. The bed is crazy comfortable!! Lisa is an absolutely delightful person, and was wonderful to do business with. She was very prompt and courteous when responding to emails. And payment was extremely easy. She met us at the apartment the day we arrived and gave us a personal tour, explained how different equipment worked, and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood. She is a wealth of information! Oh, and I cannot forget to mention the lovely arrival treats she had for us – French cookies, pretzels, a large bottle of water, apple juice and best of all, Rosé wine chilling! Such hospitality! I know where we’ll be staying next time we return to Paris!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: We were so excited to hear that you got engaged not long after your trip to Paris, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. If you decide to come back for your honeymoon or an anniversary, we'd be so happy to have you stay with us again!

Lisa, We want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your lovely apartment in Montmartre. It was as described, bright and clean! Yes, the shower room is small, but we managed just fine. We appreciate yor very prompt attention to replacing the bathroom lightbulb when it went out. Also, the little wine bar at the back of the wine shop was maybe the highlight of our visit to Paris...thanks for the tip. We will recommend your lovely home to anyone wanting to enjoy Montmarte.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad to know the wine bar was a huge success, I'll be sure to add it to our house manual for future guests to discover!

My wife and I just returned from five wonderful days in Paris with our 14-yr old granddaughter, and this apartment played a major support role in our pleasurable experience. Everything Lisa describes on their website is absolutely correct. The salon is perfect for three people (and I'm 6'4), and the three windows allowed plenty of light and cool air; with the bedroom door open there's a gracious plenty of cross ventilation between the rooms. The kitchen worked just fine for our needs; Scott cooked two great dinners there (we ate out more than we had planned) and every breakfast was perfect. The sofa bed was fine for our granddaughter, and probably for a second child as well. The electronic equipment works as well as Lisa describes it, but we didn't pay it much attention. The "free" (to guests) phone calls to the US are a fantastic bonus. The bathroom is small, but presented no problem. The shower is also small, but we had absolutely no problem using it. The double bed was almost as good as ours at home, and while again the room is small it simply added to the feel of being "right at home" in a typical apartment. The location of the apartment is incredible; everything you would want (or need) to find is within a very short walk. The Butte Montmarte is spectacular; I generally detest mass-tourist-industry places but we still had a great time walking around. Public transport is easily available; we used it very well. Lisa walked us through the introduction to the apartment, was a great help in offering advice and recommendations, and our check-out was fast and simple. This apartment is a fabulous place, and at the price is also a fabulous bargain.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The apartment was immaculate and thoughtfully provisioned. We loved staying in Montmartre and we were close to many metro options. There are two bars right below the apartment and people were out drinking on the street every night until late. The bedroom is in the back so it was quiet, and with the windows closed and the fan on my husband and were able to sleep in the living room without too much trouble. My husband and I would definitely return here, but if we came back to Paris with the kids I would look for a slightly larger place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: There is some lively night-life in the immediate area (and as there is a smoking ban in France, the smokers tend to congregate outside the restaurants and bars). We do have plans to replace the windows with double-paned versions which are more energy efficient and which will reduce street noise.
