  What a beautiful vacation home! It made leaving and going back to the real world even harder. We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed all the comforts of home - away from home! Our hosts did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We will definitely be back!

  This condo is just perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a few days of R&R. Our two small children loved the beach! The view from the balcony is so peaceful and just what we were hoping for. We saw dolphins so close to the beach that we just knew we could reach out and touch them! The owners are incredibly nice and go above and beyond what is expected. They provide so many finishing touches that make your stay as carefree as possible. The area is beautiful and the Oak Island Lighthouse is just down the road! We had a wonderful time and if we are in the area again, we will rent this condo again and again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

  What a wonderful, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, great location/view, quiet, relaxing condo & we LOVE Oak Island/Caswell Beach as well as Southport & Willmington. My favorite little shop in Southport: Duck, Duck, Goose! Great seafood & other options; shopping at Lowe's, walking the beach, playing cards at night; didn't even turn t.v. on all week. Was nice to meet Mark upon arrival; thanks Mark.

  My family of 4 just returned from an extended weekend. The condo was wonderful. It was clean and very well equipped and it was a joy to stay there. Walking up the stairs gave me a workout, but it was much needed. I loved being able to sit inside as well as outside and have a wonderful view of the ocean. I would highly reccommend Jane's Island Retreat.

  From the beginning the owners were courteous and friendly, I can not say in words enough nice things about this rental. It was newly remodeled and clean and room for all of us, we had 4 adults and 3 children under the age of 5. Beautiful views and close to the ocean. Can't wait to go back!!

  This condo is better than pictured! The views are awesome. It was extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoyed as much time inside taking in the view of the ocean as we did outside on the beach. I have vacationed at Caswell Beach for 20 years and this was one of our best trips yet. Mark, the owner, was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our experience and hope to be back soon.

September & October are two of our favorite months at the beach as you can both see and feel a change in the seasons even though the weather is usually perfect.   We have stayed at many vacation rentals at Oak Island, NC, as well as many other locations in the US. This condo was the best equipped and cleanest stay ever! It is an unparalleled view of the lighthouse and Bald Head Island. The sunrises, sunsets and full moon were fantastic! Great restaurants and friendly locals. The condo was just as it was described. The owner met us on arrival and was very helpful and accommodating.

  We had such a wonderful stay at your condo. There was the amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. There was all the comforts of home plus a great view. We had an awesome time just relaxing and enjoying the beach. Also we got to see the baby turtles hatch and race to the ocean, it was an experience we will never forget. Thank you and we hope that we can stay there again.

Our beach area & intracoastal waterway are amazing places to not only enjoy amazing scenic beauty, but also to interact with the natural aquatic world. We have been fortunate to have some awe-inspiring sightings and experiences with local dolphins and rays while kayaking. One fall morning while walking along the beach, a storm out at sea was creating some really nice breaking waves. Suddenly, out pop two dolphins surfing the waves. They were having a great time and were catching wave after wave. It is an experience we will certainly never forget!

  In the past we've vacationed at Myrtle Beach but this time we wanted to get away from the crowds and try somewhere new. Oak Island was what we were looking for. Great beach, less people and close enough to take the ferry to Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach or drive to Wilmington for the day. So what about the condo? Excellent! All of the furniture and amenities were like new. The place is fully stocked. If you forgot something... don't worry about it. When you get there you'll see what I mean. The view from the balcony is fantastic and made it difficult to decide on kicking back and watching the beach or going down and jumping in. Check-out was breeze. The way everything is organized made it easy to pickup, pack up and go. I would highly recommend this rental. Although, I hope this review doesn't cause the schedule to fill up the next time we want to go.

  We had a great stay in this condo at oak island villas. The beach was exactly what the owner stated it would be like. I had never stayed on oak island before and was a little nervous, but I was very happy with the island once we arrived. The beaches were less populated than other places I've been and all the shops on the island were family owned so things didn't seem to be so expensive. The condo was clean and fully stocked! The owners were super nice and helpful! The only downfall was that this unit was on the 3rd floor and there were no elevators so after walking up six sets of steps after being on the beach all day was a little tiring. But overall we had an excellent experience!!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
