Cozy and Close to the Beach
Cozy and Close to the Beach
This is a perfect little 1 BR, with a fenced front yard and 1/2 a block from the sand. The unit had everything we needed, and I even cooked a few meals in the small, but complete kitchen. There are plenty of good casual restaurants in town and SLO is only a 15 minute ride away. We also enjoyed shopping at the Pismo Outlet Mall, which had great deals. The beach was beautiful, and we could walk around town without the crowds you usually find in resort areas. We can't wait to return to the Central Coast again.

About: Being natives of California, we never tire of traveling to familiar spots and discovering new roads to explore. An artist and a woodworker in our retired life, we have enjoyed raising puppies for Guide Dogs of America in Simi Valley and look forward to raising our next pup, soon.
Why Pismo Beach:
We started a 'love affair' with the Central Coast forty years ago. This nugget of a retreat, we call 'Pelican Rest,' has been ours for nearly twenty years. We willingly share our favorite excursions and food stops with any traveler wanting to make their Pismo stop a memorable one.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Excellent food stops are a plenty in Pismo, SLO, Arroyo Grande and Morro Bay. We enjoy picnics and hikes in Montana de Oro State Park at the south end of Morro Bay; the Monarch butterfly migration just a mile down Hwy 1, from Addie St., in the winter; and wine tasting in Edna Valley (20 min. away) and extensive wine country of Paso Robles (a 40 minute ride up Hwy 101). Hearst Castle in San Simon is an hour up Hwy 1. On your way you will cross through the artist communities of Cayucos, Harmony, and Cambria.
