REMAINING JUNE WEEK JUST REDUCED!!! Walking distance to the public beach and market and Restaurant! You don't have to get in your car to do anything, its all nearby! There are not many places in Sandbridge that can say that.
A great location and a great vacation house ...this beach cottage sleeps 13 in beds, has views of the ocean , a big pool and a hot tub....,a game/ bunk room and is right across the street from one of the nicest, cleanest beaches in the world. Yes, and we are walking distance from the market and restaurant and public beach. We have Wi-fi . 5 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths
Send us an email or call for reservations. We keep our calender current so check for availability. Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals.
Sandbridge is a quiet little beach neighborhood several miles south of the Virginia Beach strip just to the north of the North Carolina line. Sandbridge is sometimes referred to as 'the Outer Banks of Virginia'. We have 5 bedrooms, and sleep 11 people comfortably in beds. 13 if you add in the bunkbeds in the game room. There is a rollaway bed in one of the twin bedrooms to add another bed there. So thats 14! Plus a sleepsofa. for two more.
We widened the driveway in March 2013 which was a problem in past years. No more!! 6 to 7 cars can fit in the driveway easily where they couldnt before. Since there is no on street parking this has really made parking easier.
This house is semi-oceanfront, with views and sounds of the ocean. We are one row back from the first line of Oceanfront homes. The beach is really close and we actually are on the dunes and have a dune in our front yard. The large pool is on the other side of the house and gets great afternoon sun.
We are only one block from the public beach where lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. If you have small children this is a big plus. The street in front is generally for local traffic and has very little traffic, even in the peak of summer. Beach access is right across this sleepy little road.
You can walk down this little street about a block or so to the local market for morning coffee, fresh doughnuts and the newspaper. You can watch the sunrise from the front deck while the others sleep and look forward to another sunny day at the beach. In the evenings, some of our guests like to enjoy cocktails on the front deck looking out over the ocean.
Next to the fully stocked market and deli is a wonderful restaurant with ocean views and excellent food. In the evenings it is fun to walk from the restaurant over to the yogurt shop for dessert before walking home. If you don't like getting in your car to go everywhere you don't have to.
There are other restaurants a few minutes drive away. The Baja rocks with live music most nights in the summertime.
Back Bay Wildlife Refuge is just a few minutes south and you sometimes see wild horses and pigs and other wildlife year-round.
If you want to cook there is a fully stocked kitchen, a gas grill and large areas for dining either inside or on the front or back decks.
The game room is a converted garage, right next to the main house, with entrances next to the front door of the house, and a slider which is next to the entrance to the pool area. The room has high ceilings and a fan, AC, bunk beds, a TV and hangout area, and a ping-pong table and dart board. Bring your XBox or video games and hook up to the TV. This room is steps away from the pool area and has its own refrigerator and freezer. This is convenient if you want to have drinks close to the pool area. There is also a sleep sofa in this area. See photos.
Hell's Point Golf Course is about 5 minutes up the road and is consistently ranked in the top 100 of all public courses in the country. Tennis courts and playgrounds and a fishing pier are another 5 minutes in the other direction.
The close proximity to the beach, neighborhood center and public facilities mean you don't need to get in your car for days at a time..
... If you want more action you are only a few minutes drive to great shopping, restaurants, the nightlife of the resort strip of Virginia Beach or another hour or so to Colonial Williamsburg,Busch Gardens and Water Country.
Sandbridge is surrounded by the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and as a result there is no through traffic. All traffic headed for Sandbridge is going only to Sandbridge. This remoteness is part of the charm of this fabulous little beach. It is out of the way but still very accessible to everything.
You can expect a relaxing vacation on an uncrowded beach right in front of this well appointed home......Give us a call or email us for more details and rental information if you have more questions about the house or Sandbridge Beach. We look forward to hearing from you.

I have stayed at this particular home multiple times as I love Virginia Beach and I always return to this particular home. I don't even know where to start.... Oh yes, the children and the play room!!! My children are 16, 15, and 12 and they LOVED the ping pong table, darts, and tv in their very own club house. They felt like they had their very own private area!! Not to mention the upstairs of the home has two mirrored areas that each consist of two rooms and a bathroom. They each have a door that can be closed so we called one side the "girls" side and one the "boys". It was amazing to sit on the front deck and have a beautiful view of the ocean and eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner while watching the waves and DOLPHINS!!! The down stairs has two more rooms and a bathroom so you can have all the privacy you want. The pool is huge and the hot tub.... Well can I say that was my personal favorite!!! The beds were all comfortable and that in itself is a huge plus as some of the houses in the area cannot say the same thing!!! The children loved being at the beach and being able to walk to the local "market". I cannot say enough about this home and the owner is always available for questions!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT and will continue to stay here and book way in advance to be able to pick my special place!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

Stop. This is the house for you and your budget. We stayed in this rental for Thanksgiving Week and couldn't have had more fun. There are two mirrored sides to the upstairs of either side of the main area. Each side has a master suite with bathroom and exit to the front deck. An additional bedroom is on each side for a total of 4 upstairs. The main area is large with an exit and floor to ceiling view of the deck and ocean. You are as close to the ocean as possible without paying oceanfront fees. The lower area has private living quarters with 2 bedrooms as well. The pool was shockingly large for the property and all of our friends noticed how huge it was compared to most rental homes cheap pools. The hot tub was clean and hot, hot, hot! Happy hour anyone? And the garage is a converted teen/youth playroom/tv/game room/sleeping quarters. Our kids loved their "clubhouse" and privacy. Walk to the market, or the outdoor restaurant deck for a margarita, or simply sit on your own deck at this home and hear the Jimmy Buffett music from the restaurant all summer long. We are locals and have been in many of the sandbridge homes...this is the best of all that Sandbridge has to offer and at a price that leaves you enough to buy the first round!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

We very much enjoyed our experience renting this house. The owner was very responsive and clear on travel arrangements and access to the house. The house was very clean and the deck overlooking the ocean was fantastic for evening dinner and/or drinks. The beach access walkway is across the street making trips to and from the house very easy. Our son and daughter had a great time playing on the beach and swimming in the pool. The pool and hot tub were both clean and well maintained. There is a bonus room that includes a ping pong table, TV, couches, and another set of bunk beds. We look forward to renting this house for another fun filled family vacation!!! Special thanks to the owners.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments. We keep a clean house. It is a great place to vacation.

Location, location, location best describes this rental. The ocean views from the front deck were great and unobstuctive considering it was one row back. The constant display of dolphins could also be viewed from the living room area. The pictures are quite accurate and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. The major drawback of this property was the parking, but we had been told that could be an issue if you have multiple SUVs.The rental staff were excellent to work with and prompt at answering any questions we had prior to arrival. The nice thing was once the vehicles were positioned it was not necessary to leave because the convenience store, ice cream shop, and souvenior shops were within walking distance. A Food Lion was only six miles and there were several little seafood/produce stands along the road as we prefer to cook in house. The local traffic presented no problem when accessing the beach entrance across the road. I would recommend this property and look forward to returning to Sandbridge. We have rented properties along the NC & SC coast and found Sandbridge to be a beautiful family oriented beach area. This house fit are needs with six adults and four of our grandchildren under the age of four.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Once you get here you don't have to get in your car very much. That is the greatest thing about being on vacation in this spot. Plus it is a great house.

We had a wonderful family vacation at the "Placebo". We invited our two sons' families which included four grandchildren (18 months-5 yrs) and filled all five bedrooms in the house. We did not use the playroom in the garage other than storing drinks in the refrigerator. The house was comfortable and kitchen was very well equipped. The only items we could have used were crab pickers and a few plastic ice trays. The icemaker was not working properly, but I did make the owner aware. He was very easy to contact and he followed up on requests. The highlights of the vacation were the gorgeous beach, the pool, and the upper decks. The beach was wide and had deep soft sand - great for the kids to play. We had plenty of dolphin sightings. The pool seemed larger than pictures and was nicely shrubbed with flowers and small palms (no weeds). Both the pool and hot tub offer a semi-private setting and are cleaned twice a week. The owner provided boogie boards, loungers, table and plenty of chairs. Bring a large umbrella to set in the center of the table if you want some shade. Every evening we would dine on the front upper deck and enjoy the ocean view. There is a great seafood market within 5 miles - try their delicious scallops and fish! Trash was picked up twice a week which included Saturday when we left. Do not make the beds when you leave or else the cleaning staff assumes the beds were not used (written in a rental note on refrig). We had a marvelous time and hope to return !!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners.
Owner response: Thank you. We aim to please!!

What a shame to not take better care of a house with such a great location. First, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the cleaning crew to finish up. When we got into the house we immediately noticed that the family room rug was soaked due to a leak, and that whatever cleaning was done had not worked. Dirty stove, strong urine smell, toothpaste stains in the bathroom sinks, hair on the floors, etc. I was put in touch with the owner, who was clearly annoyed that his vacation was being interrupted by my issues with his rental property. He said he was firing the cleaning crew because he had prior complaints, and would send someone out to look at the rug. They put 2 large blowers in the room to dry it out, which made the room almost impossible to use for the first 5 days. The game room was overrun with bugs and spider webs. Broken furniture on the deck and in the yard. Weeds everywhere around the pool. We had to empty out the silverware drawers, wipe them out and wash everything. One of the beds had hair and sand in it. I could go on and on.Owner response: We keep a clean house, however in fairness to us, This was an extraordinary event. We had a terrible leak from the AC unit. The discharge plug was clogged and the air handler backed up with water, and it flooded the upstairs of the house. It was awful, a nightmare outside of our control. We brought in a professional crew immediately to dry and clean. The house was good as new after but it definitely hurt these peoples stay. We are sorry, but it was unforeseeable and we responded immediately and appropriately. The problem is fixed and will not reoccur.

The photos shown in this listing I would guess are atleast 5 years old, and what you see is not what you will get...or it is, but add 5 years of use and abuse. For starters, the game room is detached from the rest of the house (don't think thats mentioned anywhere in this ad) and it is absolutely disgusting! There were litterally hundreds of dead beetles all over the ground and active cobwebs and spiders everywhere. This "room" seemed like a catch all for old broken furniture. Unless you like inhaling air from a moldy a/c window unit and bugs, don't count these 2 beds as a livable space for your stay. OUTSIDE: Probably 1/2 of the outdoor furntiture is not there (or is but broken) and the pool yard is not secure if you have pets. They can get out under the stairs and run into the road. Pool yard is really overgrown with weeds. Driveway is super narrow and fitting cars side by side is possible but you can't open your doors. INSIDE: I can only say that the owner needs to hire a new cleaning crew! All sheets looked wrinkled and used. My sister had sand in her bed and my nephew woke up on 2nd day with a guitar pick stuck to his side! There was dog hair all over floor and these weird millipede type things. Kitchen cabinets were covered in food. Shower had constant drip that you could here from bedroom. When I contacted the owner about broken pool gate and cleanliness of house I was met with what I would describe as an annoyed tone. After agreeing to come fix the gate, he hung up on me. It was a great way to start my vacation. The only reason i didn't mark this as poor is because the location is actually beatuiful! Beside being across the street from the beach, you are super close to market and main road that heads back into town.Owner response: The week after these people stayed we: 1. Completely cleaned the game/bunk room, and the ac unit, and hired Terminex on a contract to provide full service for pests. The pictures on the site are current, as of November 2012. 2. Changed the procedures for cleaning and linens. We think the prior tenants made the beds and we didn't know they needed to be changed. Now we tell guests NOT to make the beds so we don't think they haven't been slept in. 3. Threw out all old furniture. Bought some new. 4. Secured the pool area. 5. Hired a full time landscaper to mow and weed weekly in the summer. 6. All pictures on the site are current.I recently took a new series. This is how this house looks as of November 2012. 7. Please note all the reviews , since the guests after this person gave our house 4 or 5 Stars!! We aim to please. 8. The driveway is narrow, sorry. We hope to widen it to accomodate more cars. 9.I didn't agree with this response in many respects, however, as they say, the customer is always right. So we made some changes, and we believe you will love this place. It is what we say it is..... A great location and a clean, well appointed house for a lot of people for a great vacation!! Thank you.

My family had a great time the week we stayed here. The view of the ocean from the front deck was great. The homes on the ocean front in front of this house are far enough apart we had a great view. The kids enjoyed the uncrowded beach and then coming back to the swimming pool for a dip. The house had plenty of room for the nine of us. We have four children and three of them each took a friend. The beds were very comfortable. The house is also within a very short walk to the market which was very convenient. I woud rent again based on location of the house, great view of ocean and swimming pool.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners.

My family enjoyed a great week in Sandbridge while staying in this house. The lay out of the house made it very easy for everyone to have their own space when needed and still spend time together. There were a few things we noticed like gas grills not working properly, sliding doors hard to open, refrigerator seal broken and washer not spinning out after rinse cycle. However when we contacted the owner about these details, he assured us they would be fixed. Just minor "bugs" to be worked out before the busy season got into full swing. I would recommend this house to family and friends and would consider staying here again. Access to the beach was just across the street, and beach was not crowded. The pool was wonderful and my family spent many hours enjoying it. The hot tub was a nice ammenity to have, especially on the cooler evenings. The house was within walking distance of the local shops and only 1/2 hour from Virginia Beach, so it was possible to go in and do "touristy" things when we wanted to. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and would definitely consider coming back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and I rented the property from April 14, 2012- April 21, 2012. I decided to vacation in Virginia Beach for my Birthday. It was my first time visiting Virginia Beach, so I wanted to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. Overall I was impressed with the property. The house was in good condition and the bed was "extremely" comfortable. My husband bragged on how well he was able to get a good nights sleep. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed. The beach area was very clean and not over populated. The weather was too cold to get in the pool however we did enjoy the jaccuzzi. I "would" recommend this property for rent and I would stay there again in the future. To be fair, I have to give the cons as well as the pros. The only negative experience that we had was the house was a little dusty. It was not dusty to the point of being "nasty" but it could have used a little better cleaning. Also the house was infested with ants. Ants were everywhere! We brought bug spray and that helped for the most part. In the owner's defense, we didn't notify them of the issue. I would assume if we did, they would have corrected the problem.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.
Owner response: Spring rains can drive ants into this house since, after all, it sits right on the dunes. We have treated the yard and foundation and I believe this problem will not arise again.
