  This home capped off what was a fantastic driving vacation my mother and I took through New Mexico , Utah and Colorado . After five days of driving we wanted a place to land for a few days . I found this place simply searching through internet listings . We knew the area we wanted to be in and with that information I was lucky to get in contact with Katy and arrange a three night stay . We were both blown away with the location . The house was exceptional as well . The Aspen trees were just passing their peak colors and the smells were just so clean and pure . Amazing ! If you are interested in the Collegiate mountian area of centeral Colorado , I very highly recomend this location . I have spent a lot of time in the Serria Mountians in Oregon and Califorina and this spot riveled some of the prettiest places I have been .The owners are on-site and very easy to deal and visit with . I will return with my wife next year . Awsome place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Katie and Abby welcomed us and made us feel very welcome. My Daughter, son-in-law and 2 kids, age 3 and 6, myself and wife truly enjoyed the retreat. We loved sitting out on the deck in the morning and watching the hummingbirds, deer and the views! The views are fantastic! The kids loved St Elmo and feeding the chipmunks! The peacefullness was great and we would reccomend this to anyone! The house was very clean and well maintained. Thanks, Katie!!!!

  My husband & I stayed for a long weekend of relaxing and ATVing. The house was beautiful-looked like it had been remodeled recently. The area was so serene and the views were amazing. Katie & Curt were very gracious, accomodating and helpful hosts. The autumn leaves were spectacular and you can ride your ATVs right from the property to some awesome trails. We have stayed at other locations in the area and they do not compare - we will most definitely be back!

  I have been vacationing in colorado for 30 years. This was the most peaceful, most gorgeous, place i have ever stayed. The house was perfect, the setting looked like a Thomas Kincade painting!!!! We had deer in our lawn every day and listened to rippling water every evening. Katie and Curt are the finest, nicest host that you could ask for( abbie too!!!) Thank you very much, we WILL be back!!!! Larry and Terry Jolley

  My wife and 4 kids aged 4-11 stayed here. The cabin was very comfortable for the 6 of us; the kids loved having their own loft with their own half bath; my wife and I had our own bathroom and bedroom downstairs away from the kids. The cabin was spotless, spacious, felt new, had a great kitchen and eating area. The cabin itself was the highlight of the vacation; we enjoyed sitting on the two large decks, drinking our morning coffee and looking into the mountains. The cabin is located in a nice vacation home community without anything trashy to look at; it's basically the vacation cabin I wish I owned. There are great hiking areas close by and we found great fishing in the nearby Chalk Lake. The kids, even the 4 year old, caught nice size rainbow and brown trout with ease. We liked the location of the cabin because it was remote enough to be deep and high into the mountains, but was only a 20 minute drive into Buena Vista for groceries or lunch at Eddyline Brewery (highly recommend). We also recommend the Princeton Hot Springs about 7 miles down the mountain; the kids loved the water slide that flows warm water. The owners keep the place fit out with everything you'd need. We will be back. And one more thing, its NOT a duplex, its a single family cabin, no sharing of the deck or anything like that; it's all yours.

  Great cabin with a fantastic view! We loved sitting outside to have breakfast or dinner and watched the hummingbirds while we ate! The cabin is well maintained with upgraded counter tops and appliances. My husband and I especially liked the master bedroom and the downstairs bath. It was a great place for the kids...they loved it! We'll be back!

  My family and I stayed at the Alpine Retreat and enjoyed every day. The house is well provisioned with everything you need for comfort and cooking. We had a great time fishing, hiking and enjoying the Chalk creek. The property has 2 bedrooms and a loft with two beds and a futon which were sufficient for our needs. We enjoyed the decks and grand views. Thanks for providing such a nice retreat!
