Designed by architect Jeff Gordon and finished in 2011, this modern luxury townhouse features stunning polished concrete and hardwood finishings that are truly one of a kind in the area. You simply won't find another property like it anywhere near San Juan del Sur.
Our 2 storey 1200 square foot end unit offers stunning ocean and mountain views from 5 separate decks including a breathtaking 360 degree view from our rooftop deck accessed via a private spiral staircase. Inside you'll find 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor while the upper level features an open concept living/dining/kitchen along with a convenient half-bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed and en suite with shower and double sinks. The second bedroom has a queen/twin bunk-bed which sleeps another 3 people. Other amenities include ample closet space in both bedrooms and a programmable safe for laptops and valuables.
The property boasts a large garden area for relaxing under the shade of our beautiful guanacaste tree. If the sun gets too hot, you can always retreat to the shaded grotto or take a dip in the pool. Other features of the property are an herb garden, outdoor shower, washing station and customized surf closet to store your boards.
Being this close to town, it isn't necessary to rent a car or 4x4 but the unit comes with a dedicated parking space and extra street parking is readily available if needed. A note to visitors: you should be aware that many of the properties listed as being in San Juan del Sur are actually located farther out of town on poorly maintained dirt roads that require vehicle rental or dependance on taxi's and shuttle services for transportation. Always make sure to clarify your transportation options before renting. The added costs and risks of a rental car can add up quickly.

About the owner: Anne and I (Paul) live in Vancouver, Canada and have been avid travellers for the past 20 years. It was during a trip to Honduras in 2005 that we first started thinking about owning vacation property ourselves and our home in San Juan del Sur is the happy culmination of those plans. When we're not figuring out ways to take time off work to head back to Nicaragua we like to spend time outdoors and enjoy camping, hiking and we've been thinking about taking up fly fishing. An avid reader, Anne loves to collect books to share with our guests.
Why the Owner Chose San Juan Del Sur: When Anne and I started looking for our vacation property we made a list of some 'non-negotiables' to help us stay on track. First, it had to be warm and it had to have easy access to the ocean. We are both from the West Coast and love to fall asleep to the sound of waves on the beach at night. Despite what our fair complexions might have to say about it, we love the sun and San Juan del Sur, with it's consistent offshore breezes boasts some of the best weather in the region. Second, we wanted to be within walking distance to town. Having a car is great for visiting the outlying beaches but nothing beats being able to stroll into town along the beach for a dinner and a drink as the sun goes down. Finally, we wanted to be far enough off the traditional tourist routes to feel that sense of adventure that only comes from laying aside the guide books and setting out to find your own experiences.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome: While staying at our property you will have access to our property manager, Monica, who will act as your main contact during your stay. Monica can help coordinate your arrival and either her or Gloria who works for her will meet you onsite to walk you through all the features and amenities of the property. Monica is bi-lingual and can also help with recommendations for restaurants and local destinations. For an added fee, she can also help organize your activities, yoga, laundry and personal chef services all within the comfort of your luxury townhome.
