This was a perfect spot for a girls' weekend. The house was fantastic and the owners were great to work with. We loved that there was ample room for 10 people. The kitchen was large enough for numerous cooks to be in there at the same time and as others have mentioned, was incredibly well-stocked. It had a lot of amenities not normally found in rentals - satellite TV, Ipod jack attached to the stereo, wi-fi. There was also a large indoor dining table and a nice space in the living room for games. It was closer to a lot of wineries than other places we have rented. We will definitely return!

This is an excellent house for a group! Our group of 6 met for wine tasting in the Benton City area and enjoyed both the house and the wineries. There are too many wineries close by to visit in one day!! Although we were at the house in early spring, the sun was shining and we were able to use the outdoor table for lunch! This house had all the amenities you could want for cooking and wine tasting. For summer and fall, the outdoor dining possibilities are many. The view is nice and the table is wonderful for entertaining. If you are walkers or runners I suggest you walk up to N. Sunset (out the driveway, to the right, then left on N. Sunset). This is a great road for strolling or running! Plus you get to see some of the wineries, starting with Cooper. Be careful if you are strolling around the vineyard, there are turkeys and dogs behind the property that will wake up the neighbors if you go out early (or at any other time). Overall, when we go back to the area wine tasting, we will rent this house again. It definitely met our expectations.

Great accommodation with an over the top fully loaded kitchen. The house was clean and well maintained. It would be a great family get away. Very quiet neighborhood. We appreciated the suggestions book for groceries, restaurants etc. We bought a bunch of wine at Yoke's market. We used the house as a base for wine tasting and bird watching. Lovely stay.

can't say enough great things about our stay. red mountain is gorgeous in general but having a place nestled in the heart of it made the weekend extremely simple and relaxing. the views are breathtaking and the layout comfortably suits a small group or a large one. everything is clean and easy to work (heat/TV/stereo,etc) and the kitchen would make anything from eggs and bacon to a formal gathering easy. thank you again for making our trip to red mountain incredible!

Corvus Casa is a comfortably furnished home with unique features in a convenient location. We really enjoyed our coffee while sitting in the Adirondacks chairs which faced Benton City beyond the vineyards loaded with grapes. Gathering around the large picnic table under the (blue) moonlight also made for some fond memories. The bedrooms used were also very comfortable. The only minor problem was that the ice maker was not working so we had to run to the local store (very close by). All in all, a perfect location for our group to gather. Special thanks to the Owners for the detailed communications.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house is very accurately represented in the photos, although I don't think they can convey how comfortable it is to stay here. The owners definitely have decorated and appointed the house with guests in mind, including an abudance of fluffy white towels, nice toiletries, candles, comfortable beds and bedding, spices or incidential cooking items you might need, and even a bottle of their own wine. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. There are a number of very lovely wineries nearby and the house is perfect for dining outside. Although there are some nice restaurants in the Tri-Cities or Prosser (both very nearby), there isn't much available in Benton City as far as dining or grocery shopping so I would recommend doing your shopping on the way in if you plan to eat at the house. They have such a nice patio and view though, that eating at the house is nice anyway.

What a fantastic place to spend a long weekend with family and friends! There are so many wonderful things about this house, it is hard to pick out just a few to highlight - but let me try. First, Jennifer (the owner) was wonderful in getting me all of the information we needed about the house in plenty of time for our vacation - even gave us some great winery suggestions! Second, the location is really incredible. Some of the best views I have ever seen - we spent every night cooking dinner in the house and then eating and drinking under the stars in their chairs in the front yard among the vines. It was the most relaxed and peaceful I have felt in a long time, and everyone on our trip agreed. And in terms of wineries, we went to wineries in Walla Walla, Prosser, Zillah, and Benton City - and all were an easy drive from the house. We sadly waited until the last day to do Benton City itself, and some of our favorites ended up being just 2 miles from the house! Third, the inside of the house is spotless and perfect for a family reunion. We had at least 2 people in our group that are pretty obsessive about cleanliness (bordering OCD), and both were amazed how clean and tidy everything was - better than some of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. The house has EVERYTHING you need - we cooked every night, and there was no kitchen utensil or spice that we couldn't find in the kitchen. We had 6 people - one couple and the rest single family members, and everyone got their own (lovely and comfortable) room. Fourth (although this is not specifically about the house), make sure you stop at Corvus Cellars if you can get to Walla Walla! Randall (also owner of the house) was great, doing a tasting for us when we shamefully snuck in a few minutes before closing time. Absolutely some of the best wine we had on the trip! And really fun to return "home" and sit out among the vines that is producing that excellent wine. And it made us all really excited for the bottle of Corvus Cuvee that Jennifer and Randall had waiting for us at the house! All in all, the best vacation rental choice I have ever made ... Corvus Casa is a perfect place for a family reunion, romantic weekend, wine tasting tour, anything! We will be coming back as soon as possible!

We visited Corvus Casa to celebrate my sister in law's 50th birthday. Corvus Casa is so well equipped and you don't basically have to bring anything to cook. Whatever you need for cooking is there. Beds were so comfy and all of us slept very well. The view you can have from the front porch is simply breath taking and we spent hours there over wine. We also loved the taste of all the furnitures there - great combination of old and new. You can't beat the location either. It is less than 10 minutes to get to any wineries in the area. I guess if it was not hot, we could have walked :) By the time you leave this house, you can tell Jennifer and Randall put this place together to make their guests happy.

Our visit to Benton city was truely enhanced by our stay in Jennifer and Randall's home. We come to Benton City every year, and this time was to attend a wedding, and it was our first time staying at this home with some couples and friends. The house couldn't have been more conducive to achieving a relaxing and enjoyable stay. First off the house layout was perfect. There was plenty of space to not only give people their own privacy, but it had a great kitchen, living and dining area with plenty of seating to gather for some great conversations. If you don't want to meet there you can go out back to the 20 person table, or enjoy the adirondack chairs in the front, or walk through the vineyards. Aside from that - oh the ameneities! The house has a full kitchen, and tiny details like paper towels, dish soap, shampoo & conditioner, free internet, keyless entry (use a code), Xbox, ipod docking station, and the sweetest surprise of all was in the wine fridge - a great bottle of Covus wine. We all couldn't help feeling like we were being treated at every turn. The home also contains some great tourist information about restuarants, activities, and most importantly, all the wineries (some are walkable), many are within 2 miles of the house. There is no doubt on our next trip to Benton City we will stay at this house again.

We are most gratified when our guests feel like welcome friends. Thank you for the kind words and we look forward to hosting you again in the future. Cheers! Jennifer

                          Year Purchased: 2007

About the owner: Randall and Jennifer Hopkins met in 1989 while undergraduate students at the University of Puget Sound and were married in 1993. Jennifer and Randall are passionate about life, family, wine, and friends. They (along with Steve Lessard) started Corvus Cellars in 2004 and currently reside in quaint Walla Walla, WA along with their two boys. Corvus Cellars is located at the Port of Walla Walla Airport.

Why the Owner Chose Benton City:
While Red Mountain is a unique and special place for growing grapes, it is also an oasis in the desert landscape and offers amazing views and an opportunity to feel 'a million miles away' from the rest of the world. We purchased this home in 2007 as an addition to the existing vineyard we purchased and planted in 2005 across the drive. We have tremendously enjoyed our stays at this home and want to share that very special experience with others.

The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
This is an easy drive from Western WA (just 3 hours from Seattle) and just 2 hours from Spokane. Located just off Highway 224, this house is within 2 miles of more than a dozen quality wineries and vineyards. A few minutes’ drive and you have access to more wine tasting in Prosser or Richland, or you can take the beautiful 1 hour drive into Walla Walla for great shopping, dining and wine tasting. The choices are endless.
