  Not a day goes by when I don’t think of our extended stay here this summer. It was all we’d hoped for and more. Exactly as shown in the pictures (with the addition of a TV!), immaculately clean and with good linens and towels, Filippo has done a masterly job of designing and equipping the apartment for super-comfortable and easy living. All our questions and arrangements for our stay were handled promptly and with a helpful, easy charm. Airy and spacious, light floods the bedrooms and bathrooms in the morning while the bedrooms and main room enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. The large windows with low sills in the main room have great views of the canal and all its bustling activity. The neighbourhood is lively (but not crowded) by day yet very peaceful by night – for us it was the perfect combination. Lie in late and listen to Venice waking up or take a siesta as the bells gently chime and the sun on the canal flickers on the bedroom ceiling. Bliss! We cooked and ate with ease and found the basics left for us – tea, coffee, sugar, soaps, shower gels, loo rolls etc. handy for settling in before we managed to get to the shops on arrival. Minutes to some great restaurants and even less to Billa supermarket (open 7 days a week) and to a friendly greengrocer, bakery and wine shop (take your empty plastic bottles to be filled with Prosecco and some lovely reds for very few euros). Not an area of gondola traffic jams, this is a Venice of dialect and of families taking to their boats for a day at the beach, delivery boats (delivering everything!) and of water taxis delivering awe-struck visitors. And so much to do right on the doorstep – we strolled along the Zattere waterfront with its stunning vistas, benches, restaurants, joggers and gelateria and visited the very local churches of San Nicolo dei Mendicoli – (featured in the film ‘Don’t Look Now’), Angelo Raffaele (in the novel ‘Miss Garnet’s Angel’) and San Sebastiano, which has more important works by Veronese than anywhere else in the world. 5-10 minutes gentle walk and we were at Ca’ Rezzonico on the Grand Canal (Museum of 18th Century Art) and about 10 will bring you to the the Accademia Gallery/Bridge with its iconic views (or longer if you stop for a spritz or an ice cream en route!) Our last day was indeed a sad one and, needless to say, we would return in a heartbeat!

  We had a great stay in this apartment recently with 2 children aged 14yrs and 12yrs. The apartment is lovely and exactly as drescribed. It is well positioned in a quiet area overlooking a canal but very walkable to all the main areas and only a couple of hundred metres to a water bus. There are lovely places to eat naerby and a supermarket. Filippo provided excellent customer service being esp helpful when our departure was delayed due to volcanic ash stopping all flights for 6 days. He arranged our transfer from the airport direct to the apartment and was easily contactable and responds quickly to any enquiries about the apartment. We have no hestitation in recommending this apartment and would return ourselves if visiting Venice in the furture

  My husband, two children (13, 11yrs) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great appartment. The accomodations were great, two nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The great room/kitchen area was bright and very functional. We loved being on the canal and steps away from a grocery store, banks, restaurants, bars and tabac store. We walked to St. Marks easily. On arrival Irene met us at the boat stop to settle us in. She was very helpful. The appartment had a few essentials (coffee, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc.) already there. Overall the best accomodations we had in Italy and I would highly recommend.

  We simply fell in love with the apartment. It is a beautiful apartment, bright, tastefully decorated, great views quiet and in a perfect location. We really couldn't wish more. We are so happy about our holiday that we are planning to be back very soon. Thank you for arranging the water taxi and the great tips for the restaurants. See you next year!

  Wir waren zu 4 Erwachsenen im Mai 2010 in der Wohnung und sind uns einig: jeder Zeit wieder!!! Die Lage ist hervorragend - alles ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen! Die Wohnung ist genauso so gemütlich, wie sie auf den Bildern aussieht und es ist sehr sauber. Ebenfalls ist sie perfekt ausgestattet. Ein Schlafzimmerbett hat sogar ein Moskitonetz, was man sehr gut gebrauchen kann. Man kann sich richtig wohlfühlen und Venedig ist sowieso immer eine Reise wert! Auch die Schlüsselübergabe, die Erklärungen und Tipps sowie der außergewöhnlich nette Kontakt zum Vermieter haben dazu geführt, dass es rundum ein gelungener Urlaub war! Wenn wir dürfen, kommen wir nächstes Jahr gerne wieder!
