Leave the traffic and noise behind and escape to the Mendocino wine country. The quiet, little town of Hopland is nestled in the Russian River's Sanel Valley and is home to diverse selection wineries, all of which are within a short drive from each other. This is the perfect place for those looking to explore one of California’s most beautiful and less-traveled wine regions.
A nice alternative to a hotel, this 2 bed, 2 bath house is a secluded and peaceful vineyard hideaway, nestled at the base of Duncan Peak overlooking Terra Savia Winery's 35 acre Sanel Valley organic vineyard and Hopland.
The large, front yard awaits picnics and sunbathing. There is also a pool, and a hot tub. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a large bathroom which includes a spa tub for two. There is smaller bedroom with a queen size bed along with a separate reading/quiet room. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. The living room has a fully stocked wood-burning stove to keep things nice and toasty. Throughout the house there are numerous original works of art and handcrafted wood pieces and furniture by local artists.

My fiance & I vacationed here for Valentines day & it was excellent!! It was secluded, very well equipped, beautifully decorated, very spacious and offered a multitude of amenities including a hot tub, a pool, on-site wine tasting which I liked very much and much more. It was the best trip I've ever taken and I've vacationed quite a bit especially booking with sites like this. The home had very comfortable beds & I slept very well which is a big plus in my book. Also it was very very clean which is also a huge plus in my book. This place is a small peice of heaven on earth. We had wine in the hot tub & on the deck and the home offered a romantic peaceful view that set such a relaxing ambience. The redwoods were very close & we loved siteseeing along with the ocean being fairly close it was nice to be able to relax and have so much fun at the same time. We loved every minute of our stay & cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much for your hospitality. ~Shaun & AllyRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I just spent the weekend with friends in the charming rental home at Terra Savia winery in Hopland. It was idyllic! Spacious and beautifully decorated, the bedrooms and living area enjoy views of acres and acres of vineyards. The weather was perfect and the hot tub was a real plus. The wine and olive oil sold at the winery are exquisite...I bought a case of each! There are 16 wineries in Hopland. We visited and enjoyed five of them, but the wine at Terra Savia was definitely our favorite. A real getaway, but only a couple of hours from the city!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Vivian. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us.

What a great experience we had when I took my wife, young child, and invited some friends to meet us for wine tasting at this perfect weekend getaway! We were looking for somewhere romantic with great wineries that was family friendly and not too expensive, and the wonderful folks at Terra Savia delivered that and more! I would highly recommend staying here for anyone that enjoys drinking great wine in a unique setting with lots of peace and quiet & the company of family and good friends.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

This lovely home was perfect for our mini vacation since it truly included everything you will need. We would have loved to use the pool and hot tub outside, but due to one day of bad weather and the other day we were there we ran out of time! However, we will be back to enjoy the backyard that overlooks the vineyards. It was also very nice for our dog who enjoyed the backyard as well. Yvonne was very helpful and we did some wine tasting on her property. My only regret is that we forgot to buy some of her olive oil while we were there, but now we have a reason to go back soon. The beds were very comfortable and loved the kitchen too! Can't wait to go back!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you Donna. We would love to once again host you and your family. Anytime!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: We have lived in Hopland for over 12 years. We own and operate Terra Savia winery, Sanel Valley Vineyards and Olivino olive oil milling services. We are passionate about where we live and work and we relish every opportunity to share the beauty and slower pace of our community.
Why the Owner Chose Hopland:
When our winemaker decided to move last year we thought how lovely it would be to share the vineyard that he described as his large organic garden. It is such a secluded spot with terrific views of verdant hills it beckons you to relax.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The dark country nights invite you to gaze at the stars or enjoy your morning coffee out on the deck looking at the vineyard and surrounding wildlife. Join the flock of wild turkeys and stroll through the vineyard. Picnic by the pond just a short walk from the house. Soak in the hot tub while admiring the rosy light of sunset on the eastern hills.
