What a perfect beach vacation I had at The Plantation House! This house was ultra luxurious, with beautiful furniture and decor in every room spanning 3 floors, with views of the ocean from 2 balconies!
Waking up on the 3rd floor loft style suite was a real highlight, sunlight streaming in from all the windows with the morning ocean in view. It is just across a non-busy street from the ocean, and you can still hear the waves! We drove to many beaches in the area during our week-long stay, but the beach in front of the house was just as gorgeous and lovely. The whitest, sugary sand, and the water was always clear, blue-green and just the right temperature, even at the end of September. Some days the ocean was glassy like a giant pool with many kinds of fish swimming around, and other days there were waves for me to jump in! Flags on the beach let you know how strong the current is that day.

The house had everything we needed all week - beach chairs and umbrellas, multiple coolers to picnic down on the beach, floats, beach towels and even a beach bag and mats to use. When the sun was at its strongest, we would come back to the house, shower off in the outdoor shower, and hang out in the pool. The house has a super-nice sound system that pipes to every floor and to the pool and deck areas. It was all controlled with an iPad mounted in the wall that let you choose where the music played. Very fun! The pool was heated, which made it great at night under the moon. There is even a rolling cooler in the kitchen that we could wheel out to the poolside with our drinks! Most nights, we went to the local fish market and bought freshly caught fish and grilled on the pool patio grill. What a treat! I can't imagine having a better beach vacation, thanks Plantation House!

  Our son was married on May 11th in Atlanta and we decided to take a trip with some of our family that came to wedding from out of state to spend more time with then and for us just a time to unwind from the wedding and all that went into it. We have stayed in Crystal shores a couple of time before but not in the Plantation House. The Plantation House was a great place to just relax and enjoy Destin and the beach. The home was very clean and had a great location, the front porch was a favorite hang out in the morning drinking coffee and in the afternoon. We had plenty of room for everyone, a couple of the beds were very hard, but overall it was a great experience and I would recommend to others. The walk to the beach was short and easy and the home owners provided anything you would need beach wise.

  Six of us stayed at the Plantation House in mid April. We had an amazing time and the house was wonderful. It was located amazingly close to the beach and allowed us to easily go back and forth from the beach to the house. The home had a great audio system that was wired inside and out. We loved having music going everywhere. We were rained out one day but the men kept busy in the large game room while us women went shopping in nearby malls. This was a much needed relaxing trip. I couldn't imagine a better house to stay in. Thanks so much for letting stay in your amazing home!

  Our family had a wonderful stay at Plantation House for our Christmas family reunion. We came from Arizona, Texas, Alabama, and central Florida to enjoy a week together. Plantation House was a perfect house for us, and we really appreciated the instant response from Randy the property manager when we had a issue with the dishwasher. We had 8 adults and 5 children and we used every inch of this beautiful home. The kitchen was perfect for the big holiday meals that we cooked. The house is so well equipped and comfortable that we lacked for nothing. And the location is excellent with easy walking distance access to the beach and a short drive to all manner of great shopping and entertainment options. We really enjoyed the antique shops that we discovered on the Emerald Coast Pkwy and brought home some treasures. We would love to go back to Plantation House sometime and would highly recommend it to others.

  I had the good fortune to vacation at “Plantation” in October. As the realtors say: Location! Location! Location! The house is not more than 100 yards from the beach and the gulf – just across the street. Shopping is only a couple of blocks away and there are recreational activities all around. The garage is outfitted as a game room that will make the “kids” of all ages ecstatic. The house is very nicely furnished--good furniture but not so fancy you can’t relax-- and well equipped -- lots of extra towels and even beach chairs. It has a wonderful music system that allows you to listen to different music in different rooms or by the heated pool. We had no problems while we were there but were provided with all the contacts if we needed help. We are already planning a return trip to this house. If I could give it SIX stars I would!

  Lovely house, well laid out. Great location, 2 minute walk to beach, chairs and coolers provided. Walking distance of restaurants. Short drive (under 5 minutes) to shop till you drop. Plenty of golf close by. Or just be lazy and sit by the heated pool with a good book and a cool beverage. This is a vacation spot for anyone who wants to unwind and this was the perfect house to do it. .

  Great location, warm and inviting, beautiful decor! This home is in a great location and offers so many ammenities. every room offers privacy and comfort! I highly recommend this vacation destination.

  Great family vacation home. We had plenty of space for everyone to have their own area. loved the common living areas, kitchen, dining, living area. gorgeous views,short walk to the beach and terrific porches to relax on. best home we have stayed at over the last 8 years of vacationing in Destin!

  The "Plantation House," was exactly as it is advertised in the rental property ad, beautiful ! The view from any porch on the front of the house is awesome. Very easy access to the beach; a short walk. We were a group of 11 staying at the house; we found the house very roomy, comfortable and clean. The location of the house is perfect. Across the street is the beach, on the corner of the block is a sushi bar and a bike & scooter rental place and about 2 -3 blocks back is a big strip mall that has everything you can imagine there ! We loved early mornings with lots of friendly people walking , running and riding bikes. A very family friendly place to stay, with plenty of actives around for the kids. One of our favorites was the " Big Kahuna" water park and "AJ's Seafood Restaurant." I would definitley recommend the "Plantation House," if you looking to stay near the beach in a family friendly area.The owners and property manager are very accessible and helpful to make your stay the best possible !

  This vacation rental was just as described. The home has an awesome view of the gulf. This area was family orientated and the beach was perfect with plenty of beach area with no overcrowding. The house was clean, modern and comfortable. The portable ice chest in the kitchen allowed for an extra space to keep the beverages cold. The owner supplied beach equipment was handy! The carriage house provided an alternate quiet space, which worked well for us as we had toddlers who napped midday. We did contact the maintenance manager, as a door handle came loose, and he responded immediately. We would definitely consider returning for a future vacation.

  The Plantation House had EVERYTHING we needed and more! We had 3 families; 6 adults and 8 kids, and EVERYONE had a comfortable place to sleep. The house and Carriage House were FULLY equipped to accomodate us all. The location is SUPERB. Just a short walk (very short) to the Crystal Beach Public Access and you are standing on the beach. Actually, the short distance and ease may have been undersold; we expected to be a bit farther away than we actually were. Also just minutes away from shopping, food, groceries and etc. Beach toys, a beach cart, beach umbrellas and very nice beach chairs were all a bonus. Another bonus was the parking; most homes in that area had room for about 2 cars; we had a full length driveway, double wide. We had 2 SUV's and a minivan; still PLENTY of room to play basketball. LOVED the rolling drink cart; we stocked it up on the deck, ALWAYS had cold beverages and were able to use the fridge for food instead of being full of drinks. The house is PERFECTLY set up for entertaining; the kitchen, the bar area, the access to the decks and pool and entrances. And high quality flat screens EVERYWHERE! The pool area was a blast; plenty of room for kids to play and adults to relax. Large grill was perfect for cookouts. We were fortunate to have been able to be selective about where we were going to stay and inquired on DOZENS of homes in Destin. While there, we saw NO OTHER home that could have met our needs any better. Property manager Randy and his staff were available and helpful, and the house was SPOTLESS when we got there. I would rate it 10 out of 10, A plus!! The ONLY negative I have is that we had to leave!
