For the discerning guest, we began our quest to furnish our second home with you in mind. Taste, comfort and an attention to detail were our guide.
Once that you open the front door, you know that you chose well.. When you see the furnishings, decorations and then the view, well, it's better than you imagined.
We started with the granite counter tops and kept on going. The towels are large and thirsty and every bed is high quality memory foam that entices one to sleep just a little later. There is only one clock that is best ignored for the maximum amount of time.
The extra-large balcony has a beach day bed for a relaxed read and a balcony height dining set for for unimpeded views and candle light dinners.
We sit on the 4th floor, just above the beautiful saltwater pool and pool area with its cascading waterfalls and extra large hot tub. The balcony views are simply stunning. Just beyond the pool area are pastel colored homes and finally the beautiful emerald waters and our famous sugar sand beaches.
The kitchen equipment and utensils are, in most cases, chef quality with very sharp Victorianox cutlery, an abundance of cookware and in case of emergency, there's a spare blender. The spice cabinet is fully stocked and in keeping with our New Orleans roots, there is no steak sauce.
Four flat screens, cable TV, Netflix, DVD players, WI Fi, portable stereo with dock plus a wide assortment of novels, DVD's and games are there for your indoor entertainment. You should lack for nothing in your home at the beach.
Taking a quick tour of the layout, first off to the right is a bay view bedroom with a two single beds, a large walk in closet. To maximize space, the dresser is located in the closet and there is still plenty of room. The complimentary beach chairs and umbrella are there for your pleasure.
To the left is another bay view bedroom with a queen sized bed, closet and private entrance to one of the large baths.
On down the hall sprinkled with some of my mom's artwork, the kitchen is on the right and is open to the dining/living room which then ends, no begins at the ceiling to floor glass entry to the balcony.
Just off from the dining room is the large master bedroom, again with ceiling to floor glass, private balcony entrance, and large double sink bath with a garden tub. The king sized memory foam bed is one of the most comfortable sleeps imaginable. Another walk in closet adjoins the room.
Throughout the home, there are just enough beach decorations that you won't feel like you walked into the beach section of a store.
Private limo service in the form of a six seat beach cart is available for a very reasonable cost although one must be a Who Dat for the week. Nice beach chairs and umbrellas are complimentary.
A quick lift ride up to the 8th floor sun deck offers a stupendous panorama of the gulf, bay and Dauphin Island. The exquisite sun sets are more beautiful than those in Key West. At night, the twinkling lights is the Gulf of Mexico merge with star filled skies that are never seen in Gulf Shores or Orange beach.
Tacky Jacks is a short walk away where the natives entertain you and with the karaoke, you'll fit right in. No need for a designated driver. They have a restaurant that serves on an outdoor deck in the marina so that you can enjoy more sunsets over a cold lager. The full service marina offers indoor boat storage, fishing guide services, pontoon boat, jet skis and kayak rentals. You can also soar the skies with their para-sailing crew.
We pride ourselves on our excellent inshore and offshore fishing. Red Eye' Gary is one of the best offshore guides on the entire coast.
Want to challenge yourself on the links? Two great courses are within 4 miles of the condo but fair warning. Bring plenty of dot balls.
Just 300 yards west of the Indies, the Fort Morgan National Seashore stretches 3 miles down the beach with sea-oat covered natural dunes. The park joins the famous Fort Morgan, one of the two guardians of Mobile Bay.
It was there, during the Battle of Mobile Bay that the Union Navy, Rear-Admiral David Farragut's battle cry was 'Damn the Torpedoes!'.
The Mobile Bay Ferry docks right next to the fort and is an excellent venue for getting here.
When you book with us, we email our condo guide 'Oh, The Places To Go!'. It's a thorough guide to the coast's best restaurants, night life, grocery stores and even directions on how to avoid Mobile's summer traffic. Did I mention our attention to detail?
For those fortunate souls that are able to take flight and leave the miserable winters behind, the Indies has a lot to offer. The off-season draws lot's of regulars that love to head over to Tacky's for darts, billiards and comradeship. Within an hour's drive there is just so much to see. We know how important your dog is, so bring it along.
Please consider joining us as a guest and we promise that once you stay with us, you'll never want to leave.
Come and enjoy our beautiful beach, our sun and our history.

Why the Owner Chose The Indies: We have 4 adult children and two boys, ages 4 and 5. The Indies provides the best in safety and amminities. The children's pool features a cascading waterfall, seperate toddler pool, large adult pool and hot tub. The resort has mulitple expensive homes and is very well kept. We searched for a beach front home or condo for fourteen months and looked everywhere from Perdido Key to Fort Morgan. We visited over 30 properties and fell in love Ihe condo the minute that we walked in the door. Summertime in the Gulf Shores/Orange beach area means one thing. Traffic! We love the Fort Morgan area and there is plenty to do without having to 'go to town'. Plan on spending 4-5 days beaching, one for shopping and one for Waterville.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: Everything is so close, yet so far. We just love starting our day on the balcony with a cup of coffee and watch the beach come to life.
The peak season means a lot of guest so you never feel lonely at the pool or beach, but you don't have to crawl over people to find a nice spot to enjoy the sun and fun.
