  Amazing house that is well stock with supplies. The view was nice and you can actually hear the ocean while you are on the balcony. The house was clean enough for us neat freaks! I would recommend this property to my friend and co workers. I will be renting this property again for my birthday getaway next year. Thanks Eva and Charlene for making this process easy!

  The house is beautiful. Me, my husband and my cousin and her husband went the day after New Years for a few days. Of course we knew the weather wouldn't be great and it wasn't. We did have one beautiful sun shiny day that we took advantage of but the other days were cloudy and cold. We still had a great time. Overall the house was very clean, but there were a couple of things that need to be taken care of. The shower curtain in the guest bathroom was very moldy and needs to be replaced and the air ducts were very dirty in two rooms and need to be cleaned. I would absolutely go back to this house. Hopefully we will pick a better time of the year the next time.

  The beach house was everything we hoped for. The size was perfect for our group and it was stocked with everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location to the beach was wonderful, just a short walk. The house was clean and well-maintained, and the fenced in yard was a plus for taking our dog. We will definitely be back to enjoy this house with our family and will recommend this to our friends.

  I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THIS BEACH HOME. HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. NEAREST FOOD STORE NOT FAR AWAY AT ALL. MY FAMILY AND I JUST ENJOYED THE VEIW OF THE BEACH FROM THE PORCH MORNING AND EVENING. VERY EASY TO GET TO THE BEACH BY GOLF CART OR CAR FOR THOSE LONG WALKS. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU LOVE THE BEACH AS MUCH AS I DO

  This rental property was great! The listing was accurate regarding the location of the property the view of the beach, the ease of access to the property. The house was spacious, well kept and we were surprised to find that we really didn't need to bring much with us except the food we required. All in all I would rent this property again as well as recommend it to other friends and family members.

  Loved the house, this is the first time we have rented a beach and and this home was perfect. The house is well supplied ( Loved The New Blender ). No bugs very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this home to anyone, very family friendly. We will be back.

  We had a nice stay at this comfortable house for the week of the 4th of July. We rented the house for our daughter's 4th birthday party, and for the 3 of us and our dog...it was really nice. The house has a great floor plan, nice views of the water and gets a great cool breeze. The beach is much better than Galveston, just understand the water is murky and there is lots of seaweed...but if you understand that and the critical role this beach plays to the ecosystem of the area, it is pretty cool. Great bird watching, and crabbing at night. Sand that is great for sand castles and lots of sticks for the dogs to play with. There were some pluses and minuses though. Pros: - Great layout - Super comfortable couches - Nice selection of DVD's to enjoy after spending too much time in the sun - Access to a pool....although it is VERY crowded and not very clean - Nice views of the beach - Well stocked kitchen with most everything you need (see cons below) - Daughter loved the outside shower - Closing the storm shutters made it pitch black and very easy to sleep in - Open lot next to and behind the house made playing catch with the kiddos and letting the dog run around very easy Cons: - VERY far from grocery stores. We thought we did okay stocking up, but be warned...30-40min roundtrip if you want to "run" into Galveston for dinner or to a real grocery store - There is a little store in Jamaica Beach but it has a poor selection and is way overpriced - Beach access it a little tricky as you can't just walk across the street, have to drive over and park. If you have a golf cart or can rent one...that would be the way to go - No blender. I for the life of me can't figure out why a beach house would not have a blender - HUGE water bug/roach in the hall bath, good luck killing him....he is smart! - I wish the people didn't write certain things in the guest book....made it hard for my daughter to sleep - Beds not very comfortable, very hard - The grill situation is kind of a joke. The gas grill is corroded and doesn't work, and the charcoal grill is small and leaks air all over Overall we had a great time, loved watching the kids play in the sand, splash in the ocean and watching the dog having a blast swimming and herding the kids in the ocean. Enjoyed evenings on the deck with some grilled fish and a cocktail in hand. Just a few minor things to know and you will have a fun time here. People in the neighborhood are great too!

  Nice base for beachtime and visiting Galveston. Big kitchen and living room are very comfortable for 4-6 adults.Either drive to the beach (1 minute) or walk by crossing two drainage ditches and highway. Lots of movies on hand, cable TV and wifi included. Drive to downtown is about 20 minutes. Enjoyed fresh sandwiches at the Lunchbox Cafe, coffee and dessert at Mod Cafe, and pizza at Gino's off Stuart/61st. Had excellent dinner at Waterman's upscale restaurant next to the Galveston Country Club. Only problems were a large waterbug in hall bathroom at night and well-stocked kitchen had no blender. Vacant lot next door is flat and could be used for volleyball set-up.Good value for family vacation in relaxed setting. Since this is on second floor, will need to watch small children on stairs and balcony - there was a gate available.

  Owner response: When you live in the south, you get bugs occasionally. The house has been exterminated, so that should take care of the problem. We have added a blender to the many other amenities that the kitchen already had. We are newbies to the beach house rental business. Appreciate all comments and suggestions.

  My friends and family loved this house! It was all we had hoped for. Great decor, comfortable beds and furniture and immaculately clean! And just a short walk to the beach. We will be back!
