First I have to say that the Studio look much better in real life. You are not able to see how lovely and cozy that place is. I really like it a lot and I can not tell how much. It was very cozy, clean and well maintained and the owner were so helpful and friendly. I would like to recommend this gorgeous Studio and facility (hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi) to anyone who likes a cozy warm place after a very hard day of skiing in the winter time or day of hiking or fishing in the summer surrounded by beautiful nature of Mammoth. Thank you so much for making my stay so pleasant and I will come back next winter that is for sure.Owner response: Thank you for coming! Please come again.

If you're looking for an affordable condo for 2-4 guests, then this is it. My wife and I have always stayed in much larger units because of the amount of people that usually go with us. This time it was just the two of us, so we wanted something nicer than a motel room but also priced for two people. This unit is very clean and has been remodeled in the kitchen and bathroom. This was just perfect for the two of us. We also enjoyed not having to climb stairs at the end of a hard day of skiing. Thanks for a great stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed here with our 5-yr-old son for two nights. It was very comfortable and easy to be there. The instructions to get in were easy to follow. Its conveniently located to everything we needed in town and to the ski bus stop. No wireless internet, but the smartphone reception was very good. (Verizon carrier). We had a great time.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: And we were happy to host you! Please come again....summer is beautiful too!

Owner's listing was very accurate and a breeze to book. Easy to book thru VRBO's secure online card system - much easier with this owner than in the past compared to other VRBO owners who wanted a check mailed or emailing credit card info. Great place for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids. Instructions from the owner on access, features, and property rules were easy to understand and use. Quick to respond to phone calls prior to booking and after booking. Had to call when we got there because the lock box was not opening - Leslie responded and quickly had us in. Loved the coffee maker which does not show in the pictures but made my life a breeze! Cooking in the unit was easy and very nice to have on hand when winter storms prevent leaving the condo unit. Property is very well maintained and the community snow blowers kept the high piles of snow away from the roads. Winter tip: Do bring at least 2 shovels - we did have to dig out our SUV after 4 feet of snow and ice dumped overnight. I bought only 1 shovel and took me half an hour to dig out the car. Easy access to the town (Old Mammoth Road) by foot or a very short drive made our trips to The Stove for breakfast, The Mogul for dinner, and Vons for supplies EASY! With such a great experience with the owner - Leslie, location, and ease of access, I will be returning in the summer for hiking, boating & fishing !Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a small unit perfect for 1-2 people. It's tastefully decorated and has all the conveniences you'll need for a cozy place to return after a day of activities. What can't be seen in the photos, but are present: microwave, blender, and toaster. Bed is very comfortable; had sufficient towels. The laundry room and office are just a few steps away (about as close as any unit could be). Awesome big screen TV and a DVD (bring your movies!!). Location is easy for getting to the mountain (my purpose was to ski at Mammoth) and adjacent roads are plowed early. Located centrally in town, it's also very easy to get to Vons and other stores/restaurants. The instructions are crystal clear and made it easy for checking in and checking out. Owners were great and easy to work with - responded quickly. Payment arrangements were easy (could use credit card and did everything online). Bus stop is in fact right next to driveway into the complex so one could stay here easily without a car. Definitely recommend this unit and experience.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This worked perfectly for us. The owner was very friendly and responsive, so we were able to make the arrangements easily at the last minute. The lock box system for the key also worked great. Parking was easy, too, at no cost. The condo is small, best for a maximum of two people. The directions were good, so we had no trouble finding the place. It is in easy walking distance of restaurants and other shopping, but not close to downtown. The place was clean, well supplied, and bed was comfortable. From there we were able to visit Mono Lake, hike around Devil's Postpile and the falls, and kayak on Lake Mary. We would definitely choose to stay there again. Thank you.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Great studio, comfortable, clean and convenient to the area. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen set up with all necessary items. No internet, but that was not a problem as there was free internet available nearby at McDonalds. Owner was pleasant and easy to deal with. We rented this condo at the last minute and she was very accommodating. Great place to stay for 2 people.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

What a wonderful time we had in this cute and comfy condo. Made alot of little trips to beautiful and interesting places. About the owner: My husband and I were given a large cabin to stay in for our honeymoon many years ago. During that week, it snowed, we skied...it melted, we fished...we had all kinds of fun! And so the story began.....
Why the Owner Chose Mountain Shadows:
Mammoth is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We chose Mountain Shadows because the complex is well maintained, and the owners/managers are very involved in making sure it is the best it can be.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Mountain Shadows is quiet and peaceful. It is nestled in a few pines and yet very convenient and accessible.
