Sunrise Beach house description
Perfect SUMMER RETREAT or WINTER TEXAN home! Come stay for awhile in this recently remodeled, comfortable waterfront vacation home on Lake LBJ. It is located on Lake LBJ’s best cove - where Sandy Creek spills into the widest part of Lake LBJ. Our property includes a beautiful, shaded, large flat lot that has a great lawn for relaxing, playing games, and grilling out. Rejuvenate yourself and reconnect with loved ones by enjoying our porch, playing yard games, swimming, fishing, and boating on the lake, or driving five minutes to Sandy Beach Park to play in the sand, swim and view the cliffs.
Our retreat is open, welcoming, and comfortable. The entire house was recently remodeled and includes all new appliances and flooring throughout the home. This clean and spacious home is located in quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees that provide plenty of shade. Upstairs you will find the kitchen, breakfast/dining area, living room, master bedroom, guest bedroom and full bath. We also have a beautiful covered porch that is perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee, an afternoon book, or an evening glass of wine all while sitting among the trees with an incredible view of the lake. Downstairs you will find another bedroom (perfect for teenagers or another couple), second living area, full bath and washer/dryer.
Enjoy our wonderful lawn as you walk down to the water’s edge to swim off the private dock, sun on the lawn or sit in the shade. Boat traffic into the cove is light, and the heavy waves that can occur at open water properties do not develop here. The boat dock includes a boat slip with an electric lift and two jet ski ramps. The property is located close to a marina with fuel service, as well as a small convenience store. The closest public boat ramp is only 1/2 mile away.

Extended Family had a great time!
Our extended family, Mom, Dad, Kids, and grandkids had a great time. Yard and porches were shady and great for toddler play.

This is a spotless, comfortable house on beautiful lakefront property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, taking advantage of all that the peaceful lawn and large cove have to offer. Great swimming cove! The owners were extremely gracious, answering all our questions. All in all, loved the property and our stay there. Thanks!

Family fun in the water
Family fun in the water
What a great experience we had at Lake LBJ! Plenty of room for all of us, and plenty to do. Everything was ready for our arrival, and more than sufficient directions helped us get settled in quickly and start ejoying the lake. We woke up each day to the sound of calling mourning doves, and would walk down to the boat house and see fish leaping out of the water while we enjoyed our coffee. Situated in a quiest cove, we launched the kyaks for a cruise, and we even took our dogs for a ride! Dad fought a three day battle with a large catfish, getting him to the surface three times on light test line, only to have him break the line and return to the depths each day. We cruised the lake in a party boat, the whole crew on board, the girls tanning in the bow, the guys telling fishing stories (lies) in the stern. We went to a local strawberry farm, and picked a crate of the freshest strawberries we have ever had, half were eaten the rest ended up in dacquris! All told, we had a wonderful time at the lake.

Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: We have traveled the US visiting our magnificent National Parks. We enjoy the outdoors, boating, swimming, hiking and golfing. We are professionals (finance and engineer) and have rented VRBO properties during our trips.
Why the Owner Chose Sunrise Beach:
This house is only 1 hour from our primary home in Austin. Years ago, we bought this property as an investment in our family. We have enjoyed countless games of croquet, baseball and football on our lawn. Key reasons that we bought this property include a peaceful cove, great waterfront, amazing porch and large shaded lawn.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love our cove on the lake. It has little boat traffic, allows us to hang out in the water, and provides easy access to the widest part of Lake LBJ and Sandy Beach via boat. The county park is only 1/2 mile away and has a free public boat ramp. You can drive to Sandy Beach and enjoy a picnic in the sand with views of the cliffs.
