Paradise is at your door when you step into this former Scallop House converted into a fabulous beach bungalow. Surrounded by Peconic Bay, the enormous stone deck out back offers a panoramic view of tranquil waters. Watch the sailboat races, lounge, bar-b-q, entertain, read,
snooze the hours away. Go clamming, crabbing or swimming off the beach that borders the north side of the house.
Enjoy water views from the kitchen, designed by a former chef/restauranteur and relax in the living/dining room with fireplace that opens up onto the deck.
4 sleep comfortably in the master bedroom with queen sized bed, loft with full sized bed and second bedroom with twin bed. A view of the beach and bay floods the full bathroom with light. Or refresh and have your guests enjoy a shower en plein air on deck.
There is a kayak and boat rental down the block, a swimming beach right outside your door and beautiful dunes and beaches that stretch around the perimeter of New Suffolk, the most beautiful on the North Fork.
The bungalow is situated in the heart of the village, a year round artists community with several restaurants in walking distance. Close by farm stands and vineyards line the roads with seasonal fruit and produce and artisanal cheeses, breads and condiments for the locavore. A fabulous fish market and supermarkets are minutes away from the house which is situated about a mile from the bus to New York City. Zagat rated casual and fine dining and award-wining vineyards are minutes away.
Enjoy the tranquility of the North Fork in the beautiful village of New Suffolk, situated strategically between the farms, restaurants, vineyards, beaches, bay and Long Island Sound.

I was jonesin' for a vacation from my relentless schedule and I found paradise. There's something magical about this place. Dawn to dusk the light, the bay, the salt air are invigorating. I slept so deeply, I was completely rested and ready for adventure the next day. It was a little cold to kayak but I combed the beaches. They're the most beautiful, all within walking distance, including the one right outside your door. I hit the vineyards - loved Paumonok and Pelligrini. The huge deck along the back of the house that gives out over the bay was a great place to entertain -- the best kitchen for a rookie chef like me. I hope I can take some time off this summer because I'll be heading back to this New Suffolk Bungalow.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

Stayed her last summer for 2 weeks. Living in an old fishing village was a unique change for New Yorker like me. I felt as if I was living on a boat, that is how close the water is. The house has everything one might need for an excellent vacation. We loved it and my kids adored it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.
