A little stream runs right under the living room of the cabin, which is nestled on the cool north slope of mountainous terrain. The famous Tenaya Lodge is only one-half mile away, and offers three restaurants and many sporting activities. Since Fish Camp is just minutes from Yosemite Park there are unlimited sites to see and memories to make. Also near the cabin are many hiking trails including ones to Big Creek that boast views of giant redwood trees.
This cabin sleeps four people maximum. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the living room that pulls out into a queen bed. The cabin includes a compact kitchen with dinette area in main living room. It also has a washer and dryer, local telephone, gas fire place, television and DVD player.

We originally booked a room at Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp. We are so glad we decided to rent this little cabin for the week instead. It was tucked back in the woods with a brook running through the yard. The sounds of the forest were beautiful. We didn't hear a single car, train, freeway, or horn our whole stay there. Food tasted better, as we were able to prepare our own meals in the quaint little kitchen, our sleep was more restful, and the fireplace was perfect for warming our feet up after hiking through Yosemite through the rain all day. We will definitely be staying here again whenever we have a chance to escape back to the forest. Thank you Richard for a wonderful stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The cabin was very clean and well maintained and a nice cozy place to relax. Would definitely stay here again. Was close to Yosemite. Wasn't an issue for us, but if you want to watch t.v. bring DVDs with you as there isn't t.v. reception. There are not a lot of grocery options nearby, so plan ahead for food. Owner was excellent to work with and easy to get in touch with.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed about five days in this adorable cabin. It had almost everything you could possibly need for a long term stay. I personally found the only two items lacking were a crock pot and a blender. As we make smoothies for breakfast in the morning and do our own cooking we missed these items the most, but we did use the BBQ everyday and that was great fun. The cabin was extremely tidy and well organized. You cannot beat the location. The temperature of the house was always comfortable, which made it extremely nice as we stayed in August and the temperatures were over 100 most days. I would highly recommend this cabin for a couple or two couples who are very close. Much more than four people and it would be very uncomfortable. Also if you are avid TV watchers, as we are, please bring DVD's, there is no TV connection. All in all it was a great visit, the neighbors are friendly and the view is great. It was a home away from homeRecommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Serene location, cozy place. Got everything that you would need for a short vacation. Few miles from the park entrance. Just make sure if you intend to cook then shop at Oakhurst. There is nothing in terms of meat or veges that you get in Fish Camp. Well maintained place. I was happily surprised to find games for kids as young as 2 year old and above. My son was kept entertained.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Perfect accomodations for a Yosemite visit. The cabin is upscale and spotless. Access from the road, loading and unloading the car is a real plus. We named the deer head Spike! Upper grove, check, Dewey Point (plus a drink on the Wawona porch and Aleve) check, day in the valley, check. With an early start we were able to relax "at home" and have wonderful twilight dinners.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Perfect location for exploring Yosemite and enjoying Bass Lake. We trooped all around Yosemite, including Mariposa Grove, hiking Glacier Point, Sentinel Dome and the main valley. We hiked around and swam in Lake Tenaya and spent the day clinbing and swimming rapids in Merced River in Yosemite. We also spent a day skiing and tubing on Bass Lake. It was incredible to return to the beauty of the cabin situated over the babbling stream and fall asleep to that babbling at night. We also enjoyed grilling out and eating at the picnic table. When I mentioned to the owners that future renters' visits would be even more comfortable with a few additions to the kitchen tools, they brought them the very next day. We wholeheartedly recommend this location.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The cabin was very nice and just as described. It was easy to get to and not far off the main road (but far enough off the main road so you didn't hear cars.) Renting from the owner was easy. Thanks for a great cabin and making it a great vacation.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Spent 3 nights at the cabin over the stream and had a wonderful time. It is about 2 miles from Yosemite entrance but do not underestimate the size of the National Park as it can easily take over an hour to drive 25 miles as the roads are so twisty. Wawona Hotel in Yosemite is a great place for dinner and Tom Bopp provides some great entertainment playing the piano in the lounge, or try the Narrow Gauge Inn instead - the food was great but the service is a bit impersonal. Don't expect to buy food in Fish Camp - the general store is okay for beer and wine but not much else. The cabin has everything needed for a comfortable stay but would benefit from providing some coat hangers in the wardrobe and a few lamps to provide softer lighting, but would definitely stay again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments. Yes, Yosemite is a big Park but the drive within Yosemite is breathtaking. Also, it is always better to buy food supplies in non-resort areas. As per your suggestions, we are adding coat hangers and installing additional tract lighting in the living room. ps I would like to complement you on how clean and neat you lift the cabin. Thank you and see you on your next trip. Richard
