You'll love being high in the trees in this new custom and completely remodeled mountain home. EVERYTHING IS NEW - furniture, flooring, walls, decks, everything! Our cabin sits high above the street with view of Bear Mountain from the front deck.
The cabin is a tri-level home, perfect for three couples and/or families. It sleeps up to 11 comfortably.
The main floor has one bedroom with a queen size bed, full size bathroom, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, dining, large family room w/ flat screen television, cable, free WiFi, and stereo w/ docking station. A hot tub is located on the rear deck and a gas grill is located on the front deck next to the kitchen.
The upper story has two bedrooms, one with a king bed, sitting area with futon for additional sleeping space, and a small deck. The second bedroom is a spacious room with a queen bed. There is also a full size bath located on the upper story.
The lower level has a bunkroom with two bunkbeds which will sleep 4 comfortably and an adjoining tv/game room with foosball table. The laundry is also located on this level. This area functions well for families with children who want their own “space”.
The things that make our cabin so desirable are the fact that you can walk to Bear Mountain, and with only a short drive, be at the lake, restaurants and stores. During the winter, our back yard is perfect for sledding and building a snowman. Some of the best hiking & biking trails are located in the national forest, just steps away from our back door.
Our cabin in Big Bear is a place where you can enjoy your days skiing, snowboarding, tubing, hiking, mountain biking, shopping, or just relaxing. Come home from a busy day and sit in the hot tub for a beautiful evening under the stars. This cabin will give you the space, location, and amenities you are looking for to make the most out of your vacation.
The cabin is located in lower Moonridge, 2 short blocks to the base of the famous Bear Mountain Ski Resort and near the Bear Mountain Golf Course and Moonridge Zoo.

The whole family was completely happy with our 2 night stay at this cabin, and that is hard to come by. It was more beautiful than the photos can do justice and very clean. It had all the amenities described and needed, plus some. The owner, Lisa was so helpful as we prepared for our stay and so accomodating throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone. We had 3 couples, 3 kids 7 and under, my father and sister all staying there and everyone was happy. We cooked all our meals in the awesome kitchen and took full advantage of the hot tub and sledding hill in the backyard.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was warm, cozy, spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had 2 toddlers with us and this house was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed, the whole house is updated, and the backyard was ideal for playing and making a snowman. I would recommend this house to anyone.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We found the property to be exactly as described and totally wonderful and quite beautiful! The owner was pleasant and easy to work with regarding the reservation and any questions we had. The listing photos accurately reflected the rental appearance and amenities, however, we actually found that the house was even nicer, larger, and had more amenities than we expected! Great kitchen too! There was even coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and other goodies waiting for us to enjoy. Nice size hot tub on back porch. The owner went out of her way to make sure everything you could possibly need or want was in her house. The house was clean and well maintained.The property was within a short walking distance to Big Bear Ski Resort (snowboarding and skiing), and a short drive to restaurants and other attractions and activities. An added dividend was the hill behind the house where our kids and grandkids enjoyed sledding. A short walking distance from the house there is a forest where we went to do more sledding and to build a snowman. Fun was had by all! If we ever go back to Big Bear, this is the place we want to stay and call our home!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just got back from a fun-filled weekend in Big Bear. I have 3 kids and found the house to be well-maintained and kid-friendly. There were lots of games/dvds for the whole family to enjoy and the bonus game room was perfect to keep the kids occupied at night. Spacious bedrooms and modern appliances throughout. The location is excellent, a short drive and within walking distance of Bear Mtn. My husband and daughter actually ended up walking home from the slopes one day and did just fine. The Owner was a pleasure to work with and even gave us some nice recommendations for local eateries. I highly recommend this rental!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I rented the cabin for the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time. The cabin is in a great location, situated at the base of the Big Bear ski resort. It is newly updated and very nicely furnished. We had plenty of space to celebrate the holiday season. My family and I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It was very warm, inviting & clean. It had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend getaway. The owner was very nice. She called the night before to see if we had any questions and told us we could contact her if we needed anything. We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and very clean. The house has all of the amenities you could ever want or need. The owner is very nice and helpful. The house is very kid friendly. We had a wonderful time staying at this mountain getaway. Everything was brand new and all top of the line appliances. They had every detail covered in this home. My favorite part of the house is the goreous kitchen. My husband loved the hot tub. This house was close to everything. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and plan on staying here every trip to Big Bear. The owners were so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Do not hesitate on booking this home. The owner was so accommodating, quick email responses and really took the time and effort to make sure my family had everything to make a great vacation. The pictures simply do not do this home justice. Everything is recently remodeled, beautiful open floor plan, nice new high quality furniture (not the leftover furniture or from garage sales like most of the Big Bear vacation rentals). All the beds had super comfortable mattresses and soft sheets, bathrooms are beautiful too! Such a high end but comfy home, we have a 19 month old toddler and with the open floor plan she was easy to keep an eye on. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your well loved home! We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What a great place! I brought my kids here for a mid winter break to learn how to snow board. The house is all renovated, has tons of character, great hot tub. Its roomy and cozy and just a couple of blocks to the main ski resort and only a 5 minute drive to the other. The kids played out in the snow, went sledding in the back yard and loved every minute of their stay. The restaurants in the area have great food and the people are friendly. I'm going back next year and can't wait!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We are a family of four that loves to ski, hike, bike, go boating and anything that keeps us outdoors. We also love to entertain and share our enjoyment with our friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose Lower Moonridge:
We love this neighborhood! We looked for several years to buy a cabin and when we found this one, the search was over. We completely remodeled the cabin and replaced everything in it, including the exterior and decking. We added on to make it exactly what we were wanting. Other than the cabin itself, we love the location and being able to just walk down to the slopes. Also, we can ride our bikes through the trails in the national forest and hiking is steps away. We also love the fabulous view of Bear Mountain.
