The house was excellent, clean and well maintained. The listing photos accurately reflected the house's appeareance The view was spectacular of the whole valley and the mountains beyond. Parking is tight, not really for more than two vehicles. Robin Roost Road is very difficult to drive and is generally in poor condition. Fireplace is excellent with a very good collection of good firewood. On the day of our arrival and through our own inefficiency we found it difficult to operate the TV--we called the owner who was most helpful in all respects. The TV system is first class. We would certainly recommend the property to friends
Owner response:I really appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions about your stay at Falcon Ridge. Although there are some things of which we have no control over like the mountain roads, we do hope that your stay was well worth that inconvenience. We do everything possible in our home to make your stay a very comfortable, relaxing and memory making time and look forward to your next visit. Thank you again and God Bless, Jeannie

We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our meals on the deck. The view was out of this world. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. The only thing i did not enjoy was the drive up to the house.
Owner response:Thank you so much for visiting Falcon Ridge and for taking the time to submit your honest feedback. We do everything possible to make your visit an enjoyable one, and although the drive up can be a bit nerve wracking as are most of the private mountain roads, I hope you will agree that the views and relaxing atmosphere more than make up for it. We look forward to having you at Falcon Ridge again whenever your schedule allows.

My husband and I spent our Honeymoon at Falcon Ridge and it was nothing short of heaven. The views are amazing and the house had everything we could've possibly needed for amenities. The privacy and quiet is a great escape from the city. You can't help but feel relaxed soaking in the hot tub or sitting on the deck. There is lots of great places to eat and things to do, or it's also perfect for doing nothing at all. We are thankful for the opportunity to visit and definitely plan on returning to Falcon Ridge again!
Owner response:What a great satisfaction it is to know that we were able to be a part of the beginning of your beautiful journey together as man and wife. Weddings, special anniversaries, birthdays and surprise vacation gifts are just a few small reasons we enjoy sharing Falcon Ridge with our guests. Family vacations are a time to bring families together making lifetime memories as well and we thank you for taking your valuable time to share your experiences with our readers. We look forward to your return year after year to re-live your magical moments at Falcon Ridge. God Bless, Jeannie Clark, Owner

From the moment we saw the view we were ready to pack our bags and enjoy tranquility. The professional yet very personable demeanor of the owners was remarkable. The house has everything you need to make it your home during your stay. This place is breath taking and offers a number of options for visitors of all ages. You can be as quiet and relaxed as you wish or take in the multiple nearby sights, destinations, activities (horseback riding, trails, elk, fishing, waterfalls, shopping, amusement parks) and go, go, go! Whether it is your honeymoon, family vacation or just a weekend getaway you won't be disappointed if you choose this magnificient Mountain Paradise.
Owner response:T & B: We are thrilled that your stay at Falcon Ridge was a great time. It is so satisfying to know that we are achieving our goals in ensuring a wonderful, home feel with all the perks of the gifts given by God. The views, peace and tranquility we give all thanks to Him, and the rest we make every attempt to satisfy any needs we anticipate. We appreciate your taking the time to provide us your feedback, and mostly for trusting us to make your vacation as much or more than you hoped for. The cabin was everything we hoped for and more. The pictures on the Internet do not capture the beauty of the surrounding area. The views are absolutely amazing. The ride up the mountian is a nail bitter-to say the least, but it is so worth it. My husband thought we would have a miserable time since there is no air conditioning, but he was so wrong. The temp. were always in the very low 60's and it never got out of the mid 70's (at the end of July)! The people in Maggie are so nice, and the food is great!

My husband and I (along with our Chihuahua) stayed at Falcon Ridge August 8-15, 2009. We absolutely loved it! The cabin was beautiful and had all the essentials of home. The view was incredible, especially from the hot tub. We enjoyed grilling out on the balcony and saw all types of wildlife including wild turkeys! The owners also called to check on us and the status of the cabin upon our arrival to ensure that we were satisfied and didn't have any questions or concerns. The cabin was also located close to several attractions: Ghost Town, Cherokee, Wayensville, and several wonderful restaurants,. We would highly recommend this cabin and plan on vacationing here again in the future!
Owner response:Our goal is always the enjoyment and satisfaction of our guests who leave the mountains taking a bit of it all with them - while leaving and always wanting more. Thank you.

Your beautiful home enhanced our vacation. Beautiful and cool mornings and wonderful sunsets. We were so relaxed and will always remember the time spent at your place. Easy acess to Gatlingurg and Pigeon Forge. Walter fished and I read and we both enjoyed going to the Incredible Christmas Place. Restaurants in the area were good. We left some money at the casino in Cherakee. Evertything we could have needed was at your home. We will definitely return to your home in the mountains again. Thank you for sharing your home with us,.

The description of your home Jeannie on the net before renting was exactly as stated and more. Your beautiful home was very clean, welcoming and had everything provided. We loved the fireplace and hot tub and with every kitchen utensil imaginable, we ate in most of the time. We were lucky, we had beautiful weather and were able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the incredible view. You called us when we arrived to make sure everything was fine and to answer any questions - you wanted to ensure we had a good vacation in your home. My husband and I have been going to Maggie Valley for 5-6 years now and are familiar driving in the mountains but the drive to your home took us a few days to get used to. The only concern we had with the drive is if it snowed - it would be a nail biting drive (we vacation in Maggie Valley every November). Our vacation mainly consisted of golfing - at Maggie Valley Country Club, Apple Valley and Rumbling Bald. All courses are beautiful. We ate at J Arthurs and Nick and Nates and of course shopped in Waynesville. We also took a drive to Cherokee and went to the Casino. We would not hesitate to recommend your home to anyone who was planning a vacation in Maggie Valley. It was one of the nicest rental properties we have ever stayed in and one of the most accommodating and nicest owners to deal with. Thank you Jeannie for making our vacation a beautiful memory. When we ask our dog if he remembers Maggie Valley his ears perk up. What else can you say? Falcon Ridge is just an amazing place to spend vacation time. Jeannie Clark is a host who knows only one word...yes. We have now been there for two years and have already renewed for next year, and just doubled the amount of time we will be spending there. Fire place, hot tub, leaves that are just incredible in their color all make Maggie Valley and Falcon Ridge in the Fall as spectacular as it can be. What a way to chill and get in touch with your real self!!!!
Owner response:Thank you guys for loving Falcon Ridge as much as we do. I am only too happy that you consider this your home away from home too. Please let us know of any way we can make your stay even better next year. Jeannie

We stayed at Falcon Ridge for 3 weeks in the middle of July and had a wonderful time., The owner was very helpful and provided all kinds of important information about restaurants, attractions, etc. The property was in excellent condition. We visited all the towns within a two hour distance from Maggie Valley saw some beautiful falls, gamble at the casino in Cherokee. We went to Ghost Town and it was a great way to spend a day. Falcon Ridge was a great place for us to spend our honeymoon. The house was beautiful and the amenities were great. The view from both decks were amazing. The first night we were there, the flying squirrels visited the upper deck. However, I must say - looking down at the fireworks was a first for us as we are accustomed to looking up. The location from Ghost Town, Cherokee, and Waynesville were perfect. We really enjoy staying here and look forward to coming again in the future. Thank you for an amazing honeymoon retreat.

We just returned from a WONDERFUL week of relaxation and awesome views from you cabin. Thanks so much for sharing with us. The first trip up the mountain was pretty intense, especially going up in our corvette, we definitely recommend a front wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle when climbing up the mountain. But the views of the parkway with the top down was worth it. We had no trouble renting a small SUV on Monday and parked the vette at the police station. The color was breathtaking and everyone kept telling us that this was not the peak, we took many road trips through the blueridge parkway, just awesome. The cabin was so well equipped and had everything available that we could possibly want. Its just something spetacular to sit in the hot tub and look out over the valley.

Jeanne: Thank you so much for renting us your cabin, it was better than we even imagined. The location was excellent and the view breathtaking, it definitely helped make the honeymoon extra special. We were able to enjoy the hottub most nights over looking the valley lights. We visited most of the resturants that had been recommended to us in Maggie Valley and enjoyed all of them (but the two that stand out are Snappy's and Mama Guava's Cuban). We couldn't have been more pleased with our accomodations - Thanks again and we look forward to renting it again in the future. (By the way - the road wasn't nearly as bad as I was told - sharp turns but definitely manageable)

November 19-26, 2005 Dear Jeannie and Joe, Now we have spent our 2nd Thanksgiving in your beautiful home. Everything was as perfect as last year, with a few new memories.... We went snow skiing at Cataloochee Resort (Alex's first time). The day started rough for Al, but by mid-day he had his own fan club!! It was very fun and everyone was so nice....Even the ski instructor who had to help me up after Al plowed me over! We wanted to horse back ride at Cataloochee ranches but there was too much snow on the ground. I would recommend the stables at Queens as the horses appear much better cared for. Not to mention it's a few miles up the mountain the views are fabulous. Of course we went to Waynesville and ate at Nick and Nates....a few times. It's so good and I would tell anyone that you must try their pizza and beer. Other things we did were shopping in Cherokee, lots of hot tub time, lots of cozy fires, and cooked a yummy Thanksgiving feast - just for the two of us. There is a must have recipe in the Southern Living cookbook above the microwave - "Sweet Potato Surprise" - My second year making it. It is so good I had it printed on my Christmas cards to share with family and friends. Well - until next time.... thank you for making our holiday perfect. We love your home. P.S. The recliiner is a great addition!!!!! Alex and Debbie

October 22-29, 2005: Wow!!! It's hard not to be redundant, but everyone else's comments are true. . . and then some!!! This was the single cleanest rental property that we've ever stayed at and it has the most spectacular view. Nights spent in the hot tub, hiking around the mountain, local attractions, sitting on the deck, sleet, snow, stars, etc. . . And the most wonderful woman in the world agreed to marry me on the deck, over-looking the beautiful valley!!!! This was truly an unforgettable experience and we hope to return in the near future. One note on the last stretch of the mountain drive: A bit unsettling for flat-landers. My 6-cylinder Accord made it, but with a bit of difficulty. Once the sleet and snow started falling and we saw the icy ground in the morning, we knew we needed something else. The wonderful people at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Waynesville came to pick us up with our four-wheel drive Ford Envoy, which navigated the mountain with ease for all those trips out and about (not a bad price either). We can't thank you enough for letting us stay at your beautiful home and we hope that it brings as much joy and relaxation to others, as it did to us. Douglas Villien, Jr. & Jeanette Whitaker (soon-to-be Villien) P.S. Nick & Nate's truly does have the best pizza!!!!

October 29 - November 5, 2005 Mr. and Mrs. Clark, What a beautiful place you have and the view "Aaaaaahh". I took a lot of pictures from up here you know I wanted to see the leaves. Now when it is time to leave they are falling. The Parkway and Biltmore just so pretty. When I was on the Parkway on up there was a little snow on the side I guess soem kids build 2 snowmen - how funny in October. I used to life in Seattle for 13 years that brought some memories back. The hillsides and streams. No I live back in Florida where I raised my family. I am retired now and planning a trip back. P.S. My little Tascha Dachshound was happy up here too. The sun was shining all week long for me. Thanks again. Babel Pearson

Everything about the house was outstanding. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The house is almost like a new home inside. The view from the decks are incredible. We spent many a night in the hot tub on the deck just taking in the mountain view. The road to the house is an experience. I would recommend putting your car in 1st gear going up and 3rd going down. The road is not a problem though. We have already reserved another week for next year. The owners called to check on us while we were there and were very friendly. They are very interested in people having a good stay in Maggie valley and checking to make sure you are happy with the accommodations. There are many places to eat and lots of activities in close proximity to the home. This is the perfect place to stay if you are going to explore western north Carolina and the Tennessee side of the smoky mountains.

We loved this super nice and very clean home. Fantastic view from the two decks. Hot tub is very nice after a day of exploring. We really appreciate the pet friendly part of this rental as we had our dog with us. Don't let the pets allowed scare you away from this home if you don't have a pet. You would never know any animals have ever been in the house. The ride up might prove interesting for flat landers but the location is very convenient. The privacy level of this rental is outstanding. We will be going back!

Jeannie, The first thing that comes to mind is - WOW!! Your home is more beautiful and comfortable than we could have ever expected. The weather was perfect, warmer in the beginning of the week, then we woke up Thanksgiving morning to snow flurries. How exciting! Imagine the jacuzzi with 30 degrees temperatures. It was awesome! Eating Thanksgiving dinner while watching the amazing views. It doesn't get any better than that! A few funny and memorable things we thought you would enjoy to hear about: 1- Our first trip up the mountain - Oh my.. I mean a trip! On about the last turn, I panicked, screamed, got out of the car and hiked up! That lasted about 2 days, then I just closed my eyes, got sweaty palms, and grinned and beared it! 2- Went horseback riding at the Biltmore Estate. How beautiful it was. We highly recommend these stables over any others. The best part was my better half asked me to marry him! Of course, I said YES!!! 3 - Not sure that this is funny, but certainly memorable. Thanksgiving afternoon my fiance's 13 year old daughter decided to go hiking ... 3 hours later she was no where to be found, the sun was setting. We drove, we hiked, we whistled...nothing! Finally found her in a car with a very nice couple who picked her up because she got lost on one mountain over. Needless to say, we were relieved. 4 - Visited Cherokee, a nice small town for shopping and fudge! 5 - Visited Waynesville - If you want the BEST PIZZA in town, you must go to Nick and Nates. It was so good, we went 2 days in a row. Also the Mast General Store has lots of timeless treasures for everyone. 6 - Our last day (sad) - Went to Dillsboro and took a trip on the Smoky Mountain Railroad. The scenery was beautiful! Well, we must go pack now and get ready for the drive home. We hope to be back in the summer to GET MARRIED. I can't think of a better place to say "I DO". Thank you again. Your home was warm and homey!

What a wonderful home you have here - the perfect place to let yourself simply "be". We did nothing while here, no shopping, no sightseeing.... just relaxing in the hot tub, finding constellations, and enjoying our time together. Thanks to my sister-in-law and your well equipped kitchen, we had gourmet meals as we communed with nature. I've spent many weekends at cabins in the Smokies and elsewhere, but this is the nicest of all - between the incredible view, the hot tub allure and the comfortable beds, it's a bit of Heaven. Thank you for going the extra mile to create this most special place!

Married 7 Days! Dear Jeannie, We have had a wonderful stay here at Falcon Ridge. We have come up here to Maggie Valley for our Honeymoon and it has been a real treat. We found this town the perfect place to just sit back and relax and enjoy God's creation! The drive up the mountain (literally) was a lot of fun in our rear wheel drive truck. We even hiked the hill the first time to make sure we could make it. This has been the perfect start to our marriage. We ate out some, but also made use of the kitchen and "learned" how to cook as a married couple! Butts on the Creek was one of our favorite eat-outs. Well, since the husband is scurrying cleaning, I'd better get busy helping. Thanks again for a great honeymoon! Happy in Love, God Bless! Things we liked: "Butts on the Creek" The Elk Wal-Mart (of course) Joey's Pancake House Hot Tub Queens Horseback riding P. S. Did anyone else notice the large amounts of homemade fudge in this town??? Yikes!

Vacation Heaven !!!!!!!! Clean & neat which are very important to us. Views to die for!! We watched hurricane Jeane plow through our hometown on TV.Enjoyed wine while in the hot tub in the evening,( without 1 mosguito in site ) A very memorable vacation for us. Watch out for the many chipmunks crossing the road on the way up. Did I say up? The owner informed us about the roads "up",no problem even for us florida flatlanders, just slow and steady. Played guitar on the deck in total privacy (squirels make a great audience they never BOO) I rate our stay a 10 ! Looking forward to returning in the future.

We stayed at Falcon Ridge the week of July 4th with our 2 daughters. Got up to the house just in time to see the beautiful fireworks right off the balcony! Although the drive up the gravel road got a little hairy at the end (maybe because of a lot of rainfall), the house and view were spactacular! The pictures of the house on this website don't do it justice. Jeannie Clark was very considerate of our comfort and satisfaction. We had a great time while we were there. Went tubing at Deep Creek in Bryson City, white water rafting on the Nantahala, and horse back riding at Queen's Stable, all of which I recommend. We would consider staying at Falcon Ridge again.

10:40 on Monday night and we are sad to be packing up and leaving Falcon Ridge. We did kick back and relax! We've had every window and door open, it's just like living in the treetops with the birds and squirrels! The only company we have had has been the crickets, nuthatches (early morning) and a renegade of hummingbird who fell in love with Randy! (she would get right up in his face and really check him out!). She also tried to drink out of the charcoal lighter bottle (red top), so he put a red do-rag on and here she came! right at his face again! Well, its been wonderful these few days (way too short) But we will be back!! Things we did were: Drove 209 north to Hot Springs (get gas at Citgo on 209 north before you start - there is nothing on this road, but old closed up stores - great scenic drive - Go out to where the elk are - get a map at the family restaurant across from J. Arthurs (eat there too, the food is just like Granma's). - Plan a sunset drive to WaterRock overlook on the Blue Ridge (take parkway out of Maggie on 19). Time it so you can get the sunset at each overlook going up to Water Rock (takes about 30 mins) We left at 7:00 and had plenty of time by sundown at 8:15, what a ride back down! Also, the Pisgah forest drive to the Cradle of Forestry is nice and scenic, a good day trip! Well, until next year! God Bless you Jeannie and Thanks for sharing Falcon Ridge with us!

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Maggie Valley at Falcon Ridge. It is absolutely beautiful there. Standing out on the deck, looking out over the awesome mountain view has a way of making you forget everything else in the world. And sitting in the luxurious hottub at night while looking up at the stars was so relaxing. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very well-appointed, and it's close to all that Maggie Valley has to offer. We highly recommend staying at Falcon Ridge, and we will definitely be back!

My family just returned from staying at Falcon Ridge. What a beautiful and clean home. A magnificient view from the deck and hot tub. You can even hear the waterfalls from above. Maggie Valley as well as Waynesville has everything you need to enjoy your time away. Would highly recommend!!!

Dear Jeannie - What a drive but well worth it when looking at the mountains from the deck! We had such a great time and have been everywhere, Biltmore Estate, Smokey Mountain Railroad, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, rides through all the mountains. How beautiful. The house is lovely. The boys (Randy & Matthew) enjoyed the hot tub and had fun knowing that one of the bathrooms door connects to our room. Every one is very polite here. Hope to come back someday. Take care and God Bless.

A week at Falcon Ridge, where the mountains meet the sky, is like a little piece of heaven. The sunsets were stunning, the quiet solitude was healing, and the pure mountain air worked its magic. Your home is lovely!

Jeannie & Joe, We had a wonderful time at your home in the mountains. We spend a lot of time shopping and sightseeing. We went on the Great Smokey RR, toured Biltmore Estate, walked under the waterfall, drove along the Blue Ridge Pkwy and ATE at every possible restaurant in the area!! Really enjoyed Waynesville - great shopping on Main Street and enjoyed the craft fair! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! Jim, Julie and Donna & Bob Whittemore, Shiloh, NC

I thoroughly enjoyed your home. Spectacular views from a house obviously cared for and mainted with love. Staring at mountains and trees from the wet warmth of a hot tub is a luxurious delight. I would rent it again, & would recommend it.

Jeannie, We spent our honeymoon at the "Hillside Hotel" in Madison, Indiana. Here we are 39 years later on the side of a mountain! Seems fitting. Tom & Ellie Joyce Jeannie - Thanks so much! Mom and Dad were definitely surprised and loved it! We took the train from Dillsboro on a club car - fun - fun! Jeannie & Joe, Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful mountain hideaway. We all had a wonderful time - the views, the wildlife, the hot tub - all were perfect. My husband, our two kids and I usually go to the beach for vacation and decided this year to make a change. I am very glad we did! We fell asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and hooting owls. We went on walks and saw how glorious God's creations are. But we also visited Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Dillsboro and Franklin for the Scottish Festival. We went trout fishing at Hollands Trout Farm up the street and went to the Stompin Grounds. Maggie Valley is wonderful! Thank you again! God Bless you and keep you safe!

Jeannie & Joe, Your hideaway is truly a gift from Heaven! The first night we arrived it was very cold and my daughter (Kailee) who is 12 going on 20 and does not have a lot of time for me, took pillows and blankets and laid on the deck. Together we thanked God for His beauty and His love. The next morning I rose at 5 am to watch the sun come up. As i sat on the deck freezing but at peace, I wonder why the clouds always settle so low on cold nights. When God helped me to see His blanket protecting His creation, which later I had the chance to share with my 16 year old son, Coty. We truly enjoyed your hideaway. Thank you for sharing it with us. God Bless.

Thank you for inviting me to come with you on your last minute trip. I wished my house had been available but I enjoyed our "girl-time" so much. The hot tub will be a great addition and i'm sure your guests will love it! The Stompin Grounds was so much fun. I would recommend it to all your guests. Thanks again and I hope all your many guests enjoy the stay as much as I did! P. S. The hummingburds were great to watch! They are spreading the word about Falcon Ridge!
