We live in Seattle and this is our Dublin home. We stay here 4 to 6 weeks per year. We lived here for 5 years before moving to the US in 2010, so the apartment itself and all of its furnishings are high quality. The apartment was also fully refurbished in February 2012.
The apartment is in a superb, hard to beat location for walking to every major attraction in central Dublin, including the Guinness Storehouse (15 minutes), St. Patrick’s Cathedral (2 minutes), Christchurch Cathedral (5 minutes), St. Stephens Green (10 minutes), Grafton Street (10 minutes), Trinity College (15 minutes), Temple Bar (15 minutes), O’Connell Street (15 minutes) and the GPO (the site of the 1916 Easter Rising).
The apartment is in a small building of 7 apartments, with only 1 other apartment on the same floor as ours so there are no noisy neighbors to content with. The apartment is on Francis Street in an area known as Dublin's Antique Quarter.
Having been constructed in 2005 the apartment is quiet, warm in the winter, cool during the summer, with a small balcony and large floor to ceiling windows / doors which can be opened on to it.
The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The master bedroom is en suite, with ample wardrobe and drawer space. The second bedroom also has ample wardrobe and drawer space. Both bathrooms have spacious, pumped, electric showers. The large living area has a 42” flat screen plasma TV, and two large comfortable sofa’s. The dining area consists of a coffee table in the living area and also a breakfast bar with 3 stools. The kitchen is small but modern and fully equipped. It has an oven, a very fast heating hob and a powerful extractor fan. There is a large fridge / freezer, a dishwasher, a washer / dryer, a microwave and a coffee maker.
There is free, fast cable internet service (with a wifi connection).
The apartment is located on the third floor (fourth by North American definition) of the building. There is an elevator and an intercom service from the apartment to the front door allowing for remote door opening.
There are numerous restaurants and ‘take-aways’ nearby offering a variety of cuisines, including Leo Burdocks, the famous Irish fish & chip shop. There is a smallish supermarket within a 2 minute walk, on Patrick Street, and a large one a 10 minute walk away on George’s Street.
If you plan on renting a car to see the countryside (you do NOT want or need one in Dublin itself) please ask us for our recommendations. Parking is available on the street outside outside the apartment - please note however that this is paid parking (approximately $3.50 per hour).
If our apartment is of interest, please check the calendar for availability (it is always up to date) or feel free to contact us (e-mail is quickest).
We will consider long term / corporate rentals but PLEASE have your dates confirmed and your employers approval before contacting us and having us prepare a quote for you.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN TIME IS 3PM. CHECK OUT TIME IS 11AM. An early check in or late check out may be possible but will depend on whether we have another booking the previous night (for early check in) / next night (for late check out).
PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THERE IS A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. THE MINIMUM STAY IS 4 NIGHTS FOR STAYS THAT INCLUDE ST. PATRICKS DAY, GOOD FRIDAY, EASTER SUNDAY, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, ST. STEPHENS DAY, NEW YEARS EVE OR NEW YEARS DAY

Thoroughly enjoyed our week we stayed in this beautiful apartment. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. Modern furnishings that look brand new and everything is immaculate and well-maintained. It is in a great location, and we were so close to everything we just walked everywhere all the time. There is also a small market around the corner (Spar) that is very convenient. There's so much to see in Dublin we could have used a few more days there. Use the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus to tour the city and get around to the attractions. Visit Trinity College (take the student-guided tour and view the Books of Kells), The Jameson Distillery, Kilmainham Gaol, and The Guinness Factory, to name just a few of the sites you should see. The pubs were a lot of fun and the food was very good. Go to Brazenhead Pub (the oldest in Dublin) and catch the dinner show where a narrator tells you the history of Ireland, talks about the food, the fairies and the music of Ireland. It was a lot of fun. They also have musical entertainment at the end of dinner. All-in-all, this was a great trip. Greg, the owner, is very responsive to all questions and was very easy to deal with, and his sister, Clare, was very nice and met us at the apartment after our arrival to give us the keys and show us around the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Dublin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Dolores - thanks for your lovely review. Hopefully you can come back and visit soon! Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in Ireland too! Greg

Spent a brief 4 days and the apartment was wonderful. Location was excellent, walked to everythinng. Met by Claire who was very helpful, and patient especially given the 4 hour delayed plane arrival. Monetary transactions were smooth and efficient. Would rent again if we can make it back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It's literally around the corner from St Patrick's Cathedral, a 5 minute walk from Christchurch Cathedral, and 15 minutes from St Stephen's Green/Grafton Street. We would stay here again any time and greatly appreciated the owner's tips regarding restaurants and sights to see. If you fly into Dublin, the 747 bus stops in the vicinity of Christchurch, which means there is no need to even take a cab to the apartment since it's so close to the 747 bus stop. We are a family of four, so our boys (9 and 14) shared the large bed in the second bedroom. It is exactly as described and if you are looking for a fair-priced apartment foot-accesible to much of Dublin, we'd recommend this place. Thanks to Greg the owner and his sister Claire, who met us at the apartment to show us around. Hopefully the weather has warmed up a bit since we left!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Len - thank you for your lovely review. We're happy to hear that you had a great time at the apartment and enjoyed your trip to Ireland! Please come back soon!! Greg

Our family of 5 just returned from a wonderful 3-night stay in the Francis St Apartment. Working with Greg (for the booking) and Claire (for the apartment check-in) was extremely easy. Greg was very responsive in answering any questions. The apartment is in a perfect area. Far enough away from the Temple Bar & Grafton Street areas, but close enough for easy access. We liked that it felt more like a local Dublin area instead of a tourist one. It is about a 3 minute walk to the St Patrick’s Hop On/Off Bus Stop and less than a 10 minute walk to the Airlink Express bus stop to/from the airport. The apartment is right down the street (1-2 minute walk) from the Irish House Party Location – this is a great dinner/show combination that is perfect for kids. The apartment itself is quite nice – 2 bedrooms AND 2 bathrooms. Kitchen is small, but has everything needed. Dublin is a great city and this apartment is perfect for exploring it – hopefully, we’ll get a chance to come back (to both)!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for the lovely review Neil. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Dublin and your stay at our apartment. Come back soon!

My wife, dad, and I spent 10 days in Dublin and found the apartment more than advertised. Greg was great to deal with leading up to our arrival. Any and all questions were answered fully and immediately. We were met by Greg's father, Michael, upon arrival and he was extremely helpful as well. The flat is as advertised and convenient to Temple Bar, Guiness, Fallons Pub, and the other attractions. As you would expect, it is small by US standards but more than adequate for our needs. We used public transportation and the Hop On/Hop Off bus exclusively so no need for a car. This was our first visit to Ireland and we were amazed at the friendliness of the people and amount of things to see and do. I fully recommend this apartment for your Dublin visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband and I, along with another couple, recently stayed at this flat. Clare let us into the apartment and was a delight. The flat was great - way better than the photos depict. It's not huge, but has 2 nice private bedrooms and a light filled, cheerful common area. It has a Juliet balcony that we enjoyed using to look out over the street scene. The location was outstanding. Easy walking distance everywhere, yet the street is lined with antique shops ( hence no loud street noise.). Everything was immaculate and in great working order. We definitely would stay there again and it was a pleasure working with Greg and Clare.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This two BR one bath 5th floor condo was clean, neat, modern and well equipped. Walking distance to all the required Dublin sites but not in the noisy middle. Friendly and efficient check in. Great TV and WiFi along with washer-dryer made the unit a perfect stay. BRs are a little small, as one expects in Europe. Two thumbs up.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your lovely review Linda, and glad you had a great time! For any potential guests reading these reviews, the apartment actually has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
