Very nice place to stay on Swan Lake
Very nice place to stay on Swan Lake
This home is great for a larger group. Four bedrooms sleeping 8 is fantastic. The house is right off the highway and located above a very quiet cove on Swan. The cove allows swimming without worry of fast boats. The house is very nice with all the amenities anyone could want. There is a great view from the deck across the lake to the West. Our group loved staying here.

We spent 8 nights at this wonderful house on Swan Lake! We have a 3 & 5 year old and they had a blast playing in the lake and searching for river rocks. The beach area is perfect for small children. The house is so clean and so very well maintained! It was shocking that it was a rental because it was so immaculate and clean! The owner is great and very responsive to questions and left a great packet full of info about the area and a lot of it really came in handy when we ventured out to explore. A wonderful value in a wonderful setting!!!

My husband, I and my 2 yr old stayed here for 2 weeks. It was perfect in every way! Beautiful views, nice beach, clean and comfortable house, with more than enough fabulous kitchen utensils! Big Fork is about 10 to 15 minutes away for city life. This is a relaxing getaway on the water! Very large house, with again stunning views. Nice paddleboat! We ate dinner on the deck every night and grilled. We saw a deer, 2 fawns and even had a black bear visit one day! The owner said this only happened 2 other times in many years. I had a 2 hour photo shoot with my new camera. Watched him drink from the beach! Then he returned that evening. He was helping himself to the many service berries! Highly recommend for families, couples, or girls getaway!

Amazing Week on Swan Lake!
Amazing Week on Swan Lake!
What an amazing rental! We spent a week here in July having seen only the pictures listed on this website, and we were very pleased with the cabin/house and the lakefront. Starting with the house...it is very big and exceptionally clean. The owners take great care of the place. Our kids loved having satellite TV when they tired of swimming and boating, and the two HUGE decks overlooking the lake/dock were perfect. We had dinner on the top deck every night. In fact, we ate all of our meals on the upper deck at the very large picnic table. Two big bedrooms upstairs with two full bathrooms, and a huge living room with big comfortable couches/TV and a well-appointed kitchen. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with bunks, and another huge living room with couches and TV. The beach was great as was the dock. We put our boat in a few miles down the road at the state boat launch and docked at the cabin. This cabin is in a very well-protected bay/inlet and there are virtually no waves at all from other boats. Additionally- a supper club (The Terrace) lies at the end of the bay and although we didn't get a chance to visit the place, we could hear laughing and good times coming from the deck of the restaurant (not too loud though). The kids loved this place because the water was warm (for Montana), the bay was very calm, and the dock was great for swimming and playing. This might not be a good rental for a person with a physical disability due to the steps going down to the lake. This was our first time staying on Swan Lake and from the water we could see that the East bank, where most of the homes are, is quite steep, with most of the houses and cabins having stairways and decks leading down to the water. However, this rental is great for families and if older folks with physical limitations wish to sit up on the deck and watch the kids on the dock below, this is perfect. The two levels with multiple bedrooms and living spaces allow for some privacy within the house as well. It would be great for two families. The owner of the home was very gracious and helpful, and when we did have a question, she was available immediately to answer. She maintained excellent contact as well leading up to our rental period and returned our security deposit very promptly afterward. I would recommend this rental home/cabin to anyone who wants to spend a week on an outstanding Montana mountain valley lake enjoying watersports and a spacious clean living space.

About the owner: Our parents built our vacation home in 1983. We have raised our children there, spending every summer we could in Montana. It has now passed to my sister and I. We still try to spend some time every year at the lake house. We don't get there so much any more so we would like to share it now with you, so that you all can enjoy the beautiful green trees, clear air, blue skys, gorgeous lakes and small towns of northwestern Montana. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
