Three-Bedroom Lake Michigan Home with 114' of Private Beach,.

Beautiful four-season home on Lake Michigan in Good Hart, 15 miles north of Harbor Springs and 27 miles from Petoskey. We have a modern 1465 sq.ft. home, with many recent updates. There are sunset views with a hot tub just outside your door. Watch the freighters pass Beaver Island as you relax on the deck reading a good book.
We have three bedrooms. The master bedroom faces the lake and adjoins the deck with a private bath and queen-sized bed. This bedroom door opens directly onto the common living space. The second bedroom also faces the lake with a queen-sized bed and also adjoins the deck; it shares a full bath with the third bedroom containing one full-sized and one twin bed. There is a laundry room on this side of the house, also. Those two bedrooms as well as the laundry room and bath are up three steps from the common living spaces.
The living space has a leather sofa and love seat, a wing chair, narrow table housing a flat screen t.v, and a cafe table with two upholstered chairs. A 14' tall wall of windows faces the lake, and makes for an everchanging landscape of light as the sun plays on the water. The ceiings are vaulted and the focal point of the room is a stone fireplace with a barn beam mantle.
Our kitchen was recently updated with appliances. The dining room is comfortable with a table for up to eight, with enough room for a fun family gathering! There is a bar counter and two stools to pull up to the kitchen counter. We have oak floors in the open parts of the home, and wall to wall carpeting in the bedrooms.
Our lake access is down a rock and sand path to a gathering area with six beach chairs. We have float toys in the basement along with a beach umbrella for shade, that are available for your use. The home is on a quiet drive along the lake, a nice place for a morning stroll. If you collect stones or rocks, there's a great supply of them on the beach. We have two single person kayaks that are also fun to paddle around on. We enjoy playing with fins and masks, watching the gobies and other fish, or discovering large boulders out under the water.
The location is quiet and peaceful. It's wonderful to unwind and read a book on the deck, watch the deer walk by on the road, or the birds diving in the water on the lake. Lake Michigan sunsets are amazing and it seems we have hundreds of pictures in our archives as proof! Come spend a week and unwind at the lake. You know what they say: a week at the lake is worth a month in town!
Also-if you inquire and are asked to wire money to a bank out of the country-beware. Please consider phoning me at the number listed below. This VRBO site was hacked and the person who inquired, was asked to wire money to London. We live and work in Michigan. Thanks!

I have been visiting Northern Michigan for 35 years and the last 7 years have been at this amazing home. It is not a rental, it is a truly extraordinary home. The kitchen is modern and very clean. Two of the bedrooms are on the waterfront so if you choose, sleep with the windows open and listen to the surf. The third bedroom is perfect for a kids room. The living room, equipped with a gorgeous stone fireplace, faces the water and has a sliding door out to the deck. Oh the deck! You are right on the beach and a fantastic/clean hot tub is right there. This place has it all, privacy, your steps go down the beach, the house is very well maintained. What really sets this home apart from the rest is Good Hart, the people and the relaxed environment. We have increased our stay from one week to two weeks to now three weeks. We can't get enough of it. This home has been an amazing part of our life, creating memories for a lifetime for us all. The owners are wonderful...what more can I say.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and visiting guests have rented this property for the past 6 years. There are three lovely bedrooms, two of which have lake views. We swim in Lake Michigan every day and spend lots of time on the deck watching sunsets and eating barbecue cooked on the Weber Grill. Good Hart is a sleepy little hamlet with a general store, a crepes wagon at breakfast and lunch time and two unique boutiques for browsing and gift shopping. One of the boutiques offers tea, light snacks and sweets and has a yoga, meditation and massage schedule all summer--all within walking distance from the place! Jaunts into neighboring towns offer great restaurants, shopping, hiking and a gorgeous sandy walking and swimming beach. We like the place so much, we've been expanded our rental time from one to two weeks the past two years. The owners are lovely, accommodating people, and they've made many improvements on house and property through the years. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed here last August and had a wonderful week away from it all. The beach is steps away from the huge deck (I didn't want it to be down a million stairs or too far away!), and the hot tub was a big hit, too. They have beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen is nicely updated, and we were able to easily make our meals. The couches are new and comfy, and dining table was large enough to fit our big brood. Two of the bedrooms have sliding doors and windows that look out on the lake; there isn't much better than hearing the sound of the lapping waves as you drift off to sleep. There were tons of fun things to do from lounging on the beach, kayaking, hunting for Petoskey stones and beach glass, walks on the quiet road that the house is off of, and driving into Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Cross Village, and Wilderness State Park for hiking, biking, fun lunches out, and shopping.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
