About the owner: As an active father of four daughters I am constantly looking for enriching activities to introduce to my kids. Many days at our cabin they seem just as content to play in the yard or walk to the local park as choosing a more touristy attraction. As for me I love to take them hiking on Grandfather Mountain or watch them fly down Sugar mountain on skis. Afterwards they love the pizza at Sorrentos. And my 12 year old enjoys walking to the Dollar Store to "shop".
Why the Owner Chose Banner Elk:
We bought this cabin after our first visit to Banner Elk. We felt that the combination between the location of our cabin with it's proximity to so many things that we like to do and the conveneince of walking to town was very compelling. Many trips of 7-10 days we don't want to leave because we have not done everything we intended. Sometimes our cabin simply serves as a place to get away from it all; to just hang out and relax yet knowing we are a short walk to town in case we want to re-enter reality.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It is amazing how a 3-5 day or longer stay can help re-charge your batteries in the cool, clean mountain air.
