My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice, quiet and scenic getaway from the city. The cottage at St.Ives was absolutely perfect!! Nestled right up against the forrest to the back with an amazing view of the Shuswap off the front balcony. Very clean and so cozy! Had a BBQ almost every evening and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee every morning outside with that breathtaking view. It was very hard to come back home and we are already looking forward to another visit! What a gorgeous little place to relax and recharge!!

About the owner: We are both business owners that love to come to this area, from Sicamouse and its great ice cream shops to heading to Friends in Scotch Creek for Breakfast, we all know summer in Canada is short, but in this area it last longer and feels like summer so we come here as much as possible. We love to be at what we feel is one of the best kept secrets as far as beaches (St Ives Beach) go in the Shuswap, we have been kayaking for years and this year have just taken up paddle surfing, so wave if you see us on the lake!!
Why the Owner Chose Anglemont:
We chose this area in particular beacause of the fact it was not in a high traffic or really busy area, we wanted to be able to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of where we are, we wanted to be able to stop and just hear nothing but birds chirping, or the creek water flowing from our spot so close to wilderness we hear the wildlife full time...its the most relaxing spot we have found to recharge our batteries. Our parents live a block away full time on the water, and this community is simply amazing, best drinking water we have ever tasted, every moring there are deer in the front yard...its a little like stepping back to a simpler time!! We were SOLD!! The most amazing benifits for us is the health factor, we get to be in an area where the water is pure, the air is fresh, there is not very much traffic, running, biking, water activities are the normal. Watching the sun rise or the sun set from the deck is a great feeling, seeing the wildlife in the yard or seeing the mist off the lake in the moring, or even waking up and seeing the lake look like glass as the sun starts to hit it...simply priceless!!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Being so close to the beach and also backing onto a mountain this locations gives you it all from a day of simple realxing in the sun all the way to a great hike in a lush mountian area. The community and people around this area are amazing, you might just meet our friend next door and he might just take you on a guided tour of our area..just great people that make the vaction even that much more enjoyable. If you enjoy quiet morning walks, you will run into locals that will chat up a storm with you if you let them, whatever you enjoy this home is the roof over in which to do it in
