Great quiet spacious place to stay with an amazing yard for family to let loose!

We were here 5 days and Found Rebecca's house to be very clean, stocked with an abundance of wonderful thick towels, bathrobes and comfy beds. The kitchen had most gadgets you would need for cooking as well as spices. Also, a nice bottle of wine as well as a bottle of sparkling cider were in the frig for us upon arrival. A variety of coffee, tea and others were placed in kitch for us which was nice. It is Easy to find and has good parking. It's all about the yard here! We hosted a Westmont College graduation party BBQ and the yard came in wonderfully for croquette (we brought),, the swings, tether ball and zip lines were also fun too. Theres a great deck with BBQ which over looks the huge yard! The house is a tad dated but Rebecca has done much to make it totally comfortable where you can relax and put your feet up without worrying. Furniture is all new as were the beds i think. There's some of her art on the walls which adds a nice warm touch. She also has a myriad of games and a plethora of books in event you need something to read or do while you relax. Rebecca was lovely in person and prompt on returning my message when the dishwasher wouldn't turn on. (apparently one must be firmer and more forceful with older dishwashers to make them start :) There's also a great dog run under the large deck that would be great for dogs.. I would definitely recommend the house for families or even nice for 2 couples with kids. There is a huge sofa sectional and she has supplied foam foldouts for others to sleep. I would not recommend this house for anyone who cant climb stairs as there are many. We make frequent visits to Santa Barbara and will definitely look into staying here again.

Amazing rental!

Just stayed at Rebeccas' unit for Alumni weekend and we couldnt have been more impressed. The beds were better than ever and the yard was bigger than expected. The patio is great for BBQ or just lounging around on a beautiful Santa Barbara day. Rebecca is a great host and very responsive to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! Thanks Rebecca!

Perfect Santa Barbara Getaway

I can't express how lovely this rental is. First off, the pictures don't lie. The apartment is clean and welcoming. The garden is beautifully blooming. The back yard is HUGE. Perfect for kids and dogs to run and play. There are swings and lots of tree cover. And the deck is perfect for grilling and outdoor dining. Absolutely amazing for Angelinos (or other city folk) to get out and breathe some clean air. We came out for a concert at the SB bowl and a weekend of wine tasting. The host has her system dialed for a seamless arrival. Everything is all setup and no coordination of arrival times is needed. And so affordable for what you get. Our entire party was so stoked on the place. Highly recommended!

Great backyard

We stayed here with our 2 toddlers and our family lab. The backyard is exactly as described - huge green space with different kinds of swings and even a zipline. The kids and dog loved it. The house itself is fine - the appliances work but are very old and need upgrading. One problem we had was the heating system - it definitely needs work (thermostat is non functional - owner has promised to fix it, is currently controlled off rental premises which leaves the place too hot or too cold). The house needs some child-proofing as well. We really liked the owner- very gracious, helpful and wants to address any issues that might arise. She came over immediately when she heard of our issues and adjusted the thermostat from her premises. We also got a great bottle of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed :)

This yard is even bigger and better in person!

This VRBO was awesome. It was super clean and well kept. The heat was cozy and the beds were even more comfortable than our beds at home! The towels were wonderful also (what a treat!). It was a pleasure to have these small, but important details attended to. Rebecca really cares about her guests and it shows in the amenities and her quick response to any need we had during our stay. The kids loved the yard and it was bigger and better than the pictures! What a nice surprise. If we are ever back in this paradise . . . we will be staying at The Mesa, with Rebecca as our host! Thank you! We appreciate the way you do business!

Great home!

My husband and I wanted to take a quiet trip away with our dog right before our first son was born. This home was dog friendly exactly what we were looking for. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, which was key for my very pregnant body. We were able to use the kitchen when we didn't want to go out to eat. The yard was beautiful and HUGE! Our dog was in love with the property. The guest portion of this house was the downstairs of a large house where the owner lives. Other than hearing some movement upstairs, we were completely secluded and private on our own. The house was very conveniently located close to everything Santa Barbara has to offer. The owner was easy to get in touch with and kind. We accidentally forgot our big book of DVDs at her house, and she promptly mailed them back to us, even though it was during the holidays! I would highly recommend this house to any families, especially with dogs. I would definitely love to come back again for another visit.
