What an incredible experience we had during our stay! This resort home was above and beyond our expectations, and is truly the reason why we enjoyed our visit to Durango so much! The house feels like home with it's two cozy sitting areas, and is fantastic for entertaining large groups thanks to the easy flow of the house. Kids can play in the lower level while adults have grown-up conversations on the main level. And the kitchen had everything we could have ever needed to make us feel right at home! The bedroom areas are incredibly comfortable with plush bedding so that you get the FULL luxury experience. Additionally, each room has it's own patio area and so that you can come and go privately. A coat rack and boot drop/mud room on the lower level help keep the main areas clean and neat. Lastly, the short distance to the train station (actually located within the subdivision!) was so worth it!!! I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for an all-around incredible vacation experience!!

This house will meet all of your needs. Plenty of room, every amenity that you'll need. This place has all modern appliances and electronics. Great scenery surrounds the house and the deer come right up to the kitchen window to feed. Great location, quick 10 min drive to Purgatory and 20 min from downtown Durango. Fantastic place to bring your family.

Loved our stay at the Rockwood Estate! The house was very comfortable, clean and cozy. It was decorated tastefully with a Mountain Lodge look including "fabulous horns". It is close to the ski area, which was awesome skiing, but my favorite thing was walking down the hill in the neighborhood and catching the TRAIN for a snow covered ride along the river to Silverton. The Animas River runs very close to the house (walking distance) and is so beautiful to hike around. While eating breakfast, we watched Elk eating in the backyard. Wow, what a great vacation! I'm planning to return one day and stay again at the Rockwood Estate! Thank You Owners!
