Truchas house description
Our Truchas Adobe Casa is private and very secluded from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. This mountain retreat situated at an elevation of 8100 feet boasts breathtaking views, clean air, bright blue skies and offers a sense of peacefulness. Fully furnished with linens, full kitchen and washer/dryer allows our guests to be on their own. Located at the foot of the Truchas Peaks, this home reflects what travelers want from a small, secluded community in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of Northern New Mexico.
Our Casa has Two Bedrooms and a sitting area with a daybed and trundle and can actually sleep 4 - 6 comfortably. It has been redecorated to capture the style of a northern New Mexico adobe home and offers a fully equipped kitchen for 'at home' convenience as well as a washer/dryer.
Guests of our Casa may also enjoy the endless trails of mountain hiking and biking or spend the day touring our many art galleries, local potters and weavers. You'll find additional shops, galleries, and restaurants nearby in Santa Fe and Taos, less than one hour drive away. Truchas is located in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. The Eight Northern Indian Pueblos surround us and invite our guests to visit their shops and be a part of their dances. Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera Preserve, Ghost Ranch Museum, Georgia O'Keefe Museum, Tent Rocks National Monument and many more, are all less than a one hour drive.
Keywords: Northern New Mexico style adobe Casita built in late 1800's completely restored with wood vigas & latillas, saltillo tile & hardwood floors, original staircase & fully furnished.
