  You will not find a better beach house in Orange County! We rented this home in late March 2013 with our kids (ages 7 and 8.) And though we've rented many times around the country through vrbo, we just cant say enough about this choice. The home is sparkling clean, cozier than you can imagine, and has high-end touches at every turn. We were only sorry we didnt have friends or family to share it with - the four of us rattled around a bit in this spacious home! (It would be ideal for a multi-generational gathering.) And the locale makes it a great 'home base' - we ventured out to Legoland and Sea World from here - but if you simply dont want to leave, you wont be bored either. Kids boogie boarded in front of the house for hours, we made s'mores over the sand-enclosed firepit, and many hours were spent reading and playing cards in the cozy living room with the front of the house (glass sliders) opened up to hear the crashing waves. Home owner was super-responsive and though we didnt have any issues, he responded quickly to my random questions via email. Truly - dont look any further. You wont find a more perfect house in the area!

  We were fortunate to stay here to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was an amazing experience! Everyone in our party of 6 loved the house and kept commenting on how great everything was ... the location, the privacy of the beach, the fire pit ... I could go on and on b/c we loved it all! It was just as luxurious as staying at any of the local luxury hotels (The Ritz, the St. Regis). The owner was great to work with and didn't have any issues at all. Reservations were easily made, he responded promptly to any inquiry I had and deposit refunded expeditiously after our stay. Would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.

  We spent 11 days at this beautiful home reuniting with family to celebrate a special birthday. The house was perfect..plenty of space to spread out with very comfortable furnishings. The grand kitchen with it's spectacular view is very well equipped and stocked and made cooking for a crowd a pleasure. It even has an espresso maker! The large outdoor grill came in very handy as well. The view of the ocean especially at sunset is breathtaking. We watched the seals swim by during the day. The fire pit/sandbox area was was great for toddlers. It was a very memorable time for us and we highly recommend this home. Ian and Ellen, the owners, were extremely attentive to any questions we had. It was hard to leave!

  I do not have enough words of praise for this home! When I say home, that is exactly what it felt like, going home to the beach! The owner could not have been more accommodating to us before, during and after our stay. We traveled there from Texas and were joined by our two adult sons and their families. We spent 5 nights and could have stayed forever! The pictures were great but the house was even better than the pics could convey! Disneyland is only about 45 minutes away and the beach outside the back door was amazing! Wonderful experience!

  What a wonderful and special property. Our stay here was like something out of a storybook, right down to the details of the decor. We were in awe of everything. All that we needed, was provided. The beds and furniture were so comfortable. If we can, anytime we are in the area, we will be staying here. Worth every penny. The ownership is extremely helpful and even assisted with internet connection while we were there. Loved this home!!!

  The previous reviews say it all. The house & yard are incredible. Our family is 2 parents, 6 grown children & 2 grandchildren (1 toddler, 1 infant). The bedroom/bathroom ratio was perfect, although everyone took turns enjoying the master ensuite, esp the steam bath/shower, the unique toilet & the wonderful tub for the kiddies. There's lots of room to get away from one another if you need to but ample space for everyone to be together in the family room/kitchen or deck. The location was terrific for our needs - a wedding in Dana Pt, Disneyland & Legoland visits. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more complete & amazing place to spend your time, no matter how long or short you have to enjoy the house. The only things wrong were not under Ian's control - the weather was a bit cool & there were no whales. Maybe you could fix that for next time, Ian? This house exceeds your expectations!

  This home is everything you could ever want and more. We consider ourselves to be very picky tenants and we could not find anything we would change about this home. It has such a positive energy. After a few days here all 6 of us felt happier... except when it came time to leave. The owner is wonderful to work with. He responds promptly to all communication and is happy to help with anything needed. The entire home is beautifully appointed with upscale furniture, accents, and decor. The lighting is gorgeous at night and everything is designed with luxury, comfort, and relaxation in mind. We all found ourselves napping at various times over the few days we were there. The location is unmatched. Once we arrived at the house we never left. This is truly a place to lose yourself in the beauty and sound of the ocean. We would all highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a consistent Southern California vacation or for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. We intend to come back many times over!!!

  I'm writing this review from the comfort of the spacious living room of the very house I'm reviewing. I'm not looking forward to leaving at all. The owner has been very helpful and kind. The home is beautiful and has everything we could possibly need. Unfortunately some disrespectful previous renters have caused a few things not to work here and there, but the owner is working feverishly to resolve the issues. We haven't encountered anything that would ruin our good/relaxing time though. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. A few things I really love about the house are... 1. The awesome kitchen/living room with sliding wall that opens to the deck. 2. The enclosed property which gave me some piece of mind with a toddler. 3. The sand lounge area in the yard, which my son spent all day in. 4. The stunning views. Since we've been here we've seen whales, and a sea lion swim by. Both of these things were spotted from the comfort of the living room couch. The thing I love most about this house is that the day I got here I parked my car in the garage and since then I've had absolutely zero desire to go anywhere and I haven't. Not one of the five of us has gone anywhere because there is nowhere we'd rather be. Most of us have been so relaxed we've napped, some multiple times in a day. It's so easy to fall asleep on a lounger on the spacious deck while watching the waves crash. The only negative thing I could say is that you are so close to the waves that they're actually kind of loud. If you're in the master bedroom it can take a little getting used to the overwhelming sound of the waves and rocks crashing at night. Closing the heavy drapes at night helped to dull the sound a bit and worked wonders on getting this light sleeper to finally rest. I wanted to hear the waves crash while I slept on vacation and I certainly got what I asked for.

  My family and I recently staying in this amazing home during our summer vacation. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were staying in a very special home. From the floor plan to details in the gourmet kitchen, the house delivered what it promised and more. We have 2 teenage sons, who literally, did not want to leave the house. We spent our mornings boogie boarding and walking along the shore, and our afternoon playing Bocce Ball, Smash Ball, and whatever else we could find in the playground. My family and I travel quite a bit, and one of the things we love to do is try new restaurants. However, because the kitchen in this home was so INCREDIBLE, we stayed in every night and cooked together!! This home exceeded our expectations and we home to be visiting again very soon. I recommend this home 100% :)

  This home is truly perfect. It was the perfect escape for me and my children. I have kids ranging in age from 16 to 5 and they all loved it. We hated to leave. The sounds of the waves, the beautiful scenery, the exquisite and simple decor made for the perfect vacation. It is perfect for families or groups in that there is so much privacy. You can escape to so many areas of the home, yard and beach and just be alone. The pictures seem too real to believe but the home is actually better in person. The weather was perfect while we were there. There are plenty of dishes, movies, tv's, games, towels, linens, boogie boards, sand toys, chairs and amenities. Thank you Ian, for a lovely vacation experience. I will be coming back soon!
