I want to thank Joanne and Karen for making our stay over the Christmas Holiday such a wonderful time. The views were amazing and I got some lovely pictures. It snowed so the heated driveway made it easy to go into town. I would definelty recommend anyone to stay here. The steam shower was amazing! I have asthma and that really helped me through the dry air. The panormanic windows in the master bedroom were breathtaking to wake up to.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

We were 5 senior ladies who were looking for a getaway, but this place posed a problem that we weren't advised of ahead of time. Nowhere in this information does it state that to get into the house, you have to walk up concrete stairs along the side of the garage with no railing and then as you get to the top quarter of stairs, the roof gutter of the garage protrudes over the stairs. This is dangerous for everyone and especially for older people. Then above that, where there is a wooden railing, it is not stable. Extension cords were strung across the floor, they were taped down, but that is dangerous for all. The house was stifling hot when we got there, since it has no air conditioning and the windows were not open, we had to use the portable swamp coolers that were very noisy.Did you find this review helpful? We rented this house for an 80th birthday party/ family reunion and had 18 people ranging from 6 to 80 years of age. We had plenty of room to spread out in our own space as well as plenty of seating for everyone to eat at mealtime. There is an outdoor deck that is sooooooo relaxing and beautiful. We were able to walk into Manitou Springs and all the tourists spots like pikes peak and garden of the gods are no more than 5 minutes away. This house was b no means luxurious but I found that a good thing because we weren't having to tell the kids to be careful all the time. The only negative I would say is that we got there at the tail end of the wildfires and it was really hot - there is no a/c as I am sure you don't usually need it in Colorado - there were however swamp coolers and fans in every room so it was all good. I would recommend this house because it is highly functional and the location just couldn't be betterRecommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.
