  We booked this amazing place for a family holiday and to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's wedding in Barbados . Dave and Katharine were there to meet us when we arrived and were at the end of the phone if we needed anything. The villa has everything you could need and more . The rooms are all spacious and comfortable ( and all en-suite) . The grounds/gardens beautiful . Pool fantastic. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. We did not hire a car during our stay but had Winston, the taxi driver, to take us wherever we needed to go - no job too big or small for him ( he even transported guests to the wedding and arranged the cars for the bride/brdesmaids) Thanks also to Phylis , the housekeeper, who came in a couple of times during our stay to clean , change linen etc. A truely lovely lady . We intend to return to this beautiful island in the future and would love to stay at Sugar Ridge again. Thank you Dave & Katharine Kay, Steve and Family London

  " We arranged our holiday at Sugar Ridge to celebrate a 60th birthday and a 30th birthday in February 2013 and we were looking for a luxurious location in Barbados with very comfortable accomodation. Having spoken by telephone to the owners Dave and Katharine prior to booking we knew we were in for a treat and we were certainly not let down. The location of the villa in a small village was ideal for us and being just a short drive from many beaches and attractions it suited the whole of our party. We can only describe the property as a real delight with every home comfort accounted for and by far the very best villa we have ever rented. The owners are rightly very proud of their property and do everything possible to ensure holidaymakers have a wonderful time. We will certainly look to return and have already started recommending to friends " Would just like to thank you once again for making our stay one of the most memorable holidays we have ever had.   'Stayed at the Sugar Ridge in Jan 2013 with a group of 7 friends to celebrate a 'special' birthday. I have to say we had a fantastic time, the villa was very comfortable, everything you would expect to find in your own home and more, was to hand. Katharine and Dave made us feel so welcome, from being collected at the port in Bridgetown by Winston (the driver) to a welcome pack in the kitchen to get us started, to a personal welcome by the couple when we arrived. The pictures on the website do not lie, the villa is modern, light, bright, and airy. We had many a fun days around the pool, sipping rum puch and 'liming'. So sad to leave, wish we were still there! Thank you Dave & Katharine for contributing to a truly memorable experience in Barbados'

  This was our family's third visit to this villa, Dave and Katharine really do think of everything. The garden and pool are very well kept, and is extremely private. Phyllis the housekeeper is a Barbados legend, She keeps the place spotless. The island has so many different places to visit, Crane beach voted one of the ten best in the world is my favourate. Can't recommend this villa more highly.

  The picures do not do this Villa justice. It is far better . It is both close to the shopping district and the waterfront. I strongly suggest "High Tide Watersports" for diving.They don't run a "cattle boat" like other area dive shops. Once again I would like to thank Dave and Katharine for letting us use this Grand Villa. Sincerely Pat and John

  What a fantastic villa - really is a home from home!! David and Katherine have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The villa is situated in a residential area and shows you how the people of Barbados live. It is situated in a rather central point where it is easy to explore all around the island. My family have always stayed at hotels but after experiencing this villa we would not be afraid of booking a villa holiday in the future (especially this one!)

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

  Spent 3 fantastic weeks at Sugar Ridge Villa in June 2011. It is by far the best villas that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in - everything is to a high standard and thoughtfully arranged. There are 4 large bedrooms which are all en suite, a large dining area with a large table to seat the whole family and a fab kitchen and laundry room. We spent most of our time outside either under the veranda or the pool area (which has decking and outside furniture). The villa is a short drive to the beach and 7/8 min drive to Holtown where there is a large supermarket and various other amenities. Phyills treated us to some wonderful local cuisine and also came in to do some cleaning during our stay- highly recommended for a thoroughly relaxing holiday! Definitely plan to return again - thanks for a brilliant holiday!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

  This is our 3rd visit to Barbados and it was by far the best villa we have stayed in. We were looked after by the owners even before we went with an information pack on what to do and see when we were there. We were met by George and Joyce who were very friendly and extremely accommodating when our flight home was delayed by snow at Gatwick airport. The villa was very spacious and well equipped and the pool was fabulous. A fantastic holiday and would definitely stay in the same villa again!!

  Many thanks to David and Katharine for all their assistance in our holiday preperation. "It does what it says on the can" a very well equiped and comfortable Villa that made our holiday. situated near to the Platinum coast and central for exploring the Island. Locals are very friendly and will assist with a smile. The pool was well used and worth its weight in Gold. The recommendation to use Stoutes car rental was spot on. Recommended for almost all types of holiday makers you will not be disappointed I can assure you.
