  Thanks guys for such a lovely place to stay. You were so helpful to us in booking our holiday at the last minute and you really tried to think over every detail and make us feel so welcome The meet and greet service was excellent and they showed us all around the facilities as well as telling us the best places to go and eat and the best beaches to go to. The apartment guides you left for us were also really helpful. The weather was wonderful, the apartment was exactly as described - although to be honest you have probably undersold how nice it is - and we all had an excellent time. We loved the big comfy sofas and the sun longers on the balcony. It made for a very relaxing place to stay. We'll be booking again soon for next year! Only this time we'll probably stay longer :-)

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We've never stayed in a penthouse before and loved having private balconies that are not overlooked. It was a touch of class and we sure made the most of it! The location is superb and all the facilities on site very well maintained. Unlike most places, the internet connection was excellent which is essential for my family.

  We rented this property as well as the apartment which were close enough together and very near the swimming pool too. Although the pool was not heated it is in the sun all day so very warm and welcoming. The cafe there was very clean and food yummy and people friendly. The penthouse itself has two balconies, the larger one was wonderful as we had dinner out there every evening and in total privacy which was great. Lovely finish on the property, well catered for and my husband was very impressed with the broadband speed, large hd tv and all the mod cons (it takes a lot to impress him). I recommend both the apartment and the penthouse which we rented when we were over for a family wedding, very nice places to stay.

  We stayed in the penthouse for 1 week in May/June 2012. We had a lovely time. The flat is great and very well equipped, the pool and tennis court are not crowded and very good fun. The residence is a bit isolated so you will need a car to get around but that's really the only minus. Thanks a lot, we had a great time.

  What a beautiful place and exactly what we saw in the walk through video provided on the owners web site. The attention to detail was wonderful from a full welcome pack on arrival to flowers and more! The place is modern, clean and very well provided with DVD player with a great selection of DVD's which the kids loved and an iPod docking station and CD player again with loads of good CD's which the wife loved! The high speed internet and high definition TV was what I loved! The kids had a great time and having the tennis courts and swimming pool on site and so close was a great relief so it meant we did not have to drive the kids around all day. The local shops are very cute indeed and we found the most wonderful bakery and butchery which we went to almost every day. Thank you for a wonderful stay, next year we hope to have a two week holiday instead of a week as there is so much to see and right on the doorstep too!

  This apartment is set in a beautiful gated, secure compound. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, modern and tastefully decorated making it extremely comfortable. The complex is set in a Portuguese village location where all the locals meet to chat and let the time go by in the village square. The village bakery and other small shops were more than adequate especially the delicious bread, rolls and cakes! Though English was limited, the phrase book at the apartment helped us to communicate more easily. We enjoyed the contrast of the quiet surroundings of the village to the lively fun and entertainment of Cascais. After a great day on the beach it was nice to come back to the complex for a quiet swim and a game of tennis, then a glass of wine on the balcony before dinner! This is a wonderful place to stay whether you are a family, a young or an older couple.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  We booked it last minute and found it exactly as outlined on the video on the site. Excellent customer service helped us along. Well located, although a ten min drive from the beach (car essential!) we got out and explored Portugal having never been on holiday there. Shopping nearby supermarkets was easy, and we found the local bakery and coffee shop too late..! Worth taking your own oils and spices if you are like me and really want to let go in the kitchen. Also found the small shop in town who makes local spicy chicken to go... local "Nando's style" (you have to get the chips from the place next door...). Ate too much that evening! :) Fantastic time had by all. Sintra and the castle and palace is an absolute must... could not believe how much the kids enjoyed that. Lots of cool coffee shops and boutique shops in the local towns nearby. Our kids spent endless hours at the on-site pool and tennis courts, almost to the point of having to wrestle them back inside, and even went a whole day where we never made it off the complex. Very lazy indeed. We made full use of the BBQ (braai) on the balcony and - most importantly - there was no shortage of sunshine. The TV sat neglected until the last night... Only complaint was it was too short! should do two weeks next time.

  Our family of 5 (wife and I, 3 boys - 13, 11 and 5) stayed at the penthouse apartment for nearly 4 weeks over the christmas/new year period. We had a fantastic time. The apartment is spacious, clean and modern, and the facilities in the Villagio complex excellent. Manique is a lovely little village and my wife enjoyed, and took full adavntage of, the proximity of the complex to Cascais Shopping (as my credit card bills evidenced on our return to NZ). With a car (which you definitely need) Cascais, Estoril, Sintra and Lisbon are all easily accessible. Last thing, Andy and Fiona were superbly responsive, and available, right through the holiday period. Their priority was clearly ensuring that we were happy staying at the apartment. And we were! We're already planning our return.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  This is a very well appointed appt in a gated complex, quite new and about 20 minutes drive from Cascais/Estoril. Its equipped with all you'll need and each room has air con. When we arrived it seemed a bit remote but actually its close enough to everything you'll need - shops, beaches, restaurants. Cascais itself has a wide range of restaurants and we went there most evenings. You can get the local train to Lisboa for evenings and shopping, sightseeing etc. My son and I went to the Estadio De Luz for a Benfica match and found the metro and train journeys a breeze. The complex the apt is in is quiet. There's a pool but its really more suitable for older children and swimmers because there's no paddling area. The residents' club was just about to open as we departed (sham!) but when its up and running you'll be able to take refreshments overlooking the pool. The apprt had an underground garage which was great for starting the day in cool car. We would return to the area and to this accommodation.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Das Penthouse war zwar überbucht, aber Andy und Fiona haben uns in eine adäquate Unterkunft in der Anlage untergebracht. Der Urlaub mit Kindern ist hier sehr zu empfehlen. Großer Pool und schöne Anlage. Wir hatten eine gute Betreuung vor Ort und Andy und Fiona haben sich sehr um unser leichliches Wohl gesorgt. Wir können diese Adresse nur Empfehlen.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.
