Carr's Landing house description
Welcome to Coral Beach – one of the best kept secrets in the Central Okanagan! This welcoming, comfortable house and idyllic area are perfectly located for all your Central Okanagan explorations and adventures. Located half way between Kelowna and Vernon, Lake Country is one of the most desirable locations in the Okanagan, just 20 minutes from Vernon and 25 minutes from Kelowna International airport.
Enjoy pebbly beaches and crystal clear water away from the crowds. Gorgeous, park 100 feet down the road with boat launch, dock (perfect for jumping off!), tennis court, basketball hoop, picnic tables, swimming raft, a large kid's play structure, grassy areas and gently sloping lake entry. A two minute walk down the road will lead you to a lake access where dogs are allowed, this location is even more secluded and private which makes it a great place to spend the day too! Both areas are wonderful for swimming!
In the winter enjoy the tranquility of having Coral Beach almost all to yourself; take a long walk, chat with the local deer, curl up with a great book by the fire while enjoying the gorgeous views of Okanagan Lake and the snow covered mountains. If you like snow sports you will not be disappointed - enjoy great downhill on fresh Okanagan powder – just 35 minutes to Silver Star and 55 minutes to Big White. If cross country or snowshoeing is more your style both hills offer great trails, or search out some of the terrific local trails – pack a lunch and enjoy the wilderness! If machines are more your style you will love the Greystokes area on the way to Big White – long trails, groomed and un-groomed, beautiful valley and mountain setting.
This comfortably furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has everything you’ll need for the perfect vacation or getaway. The house is just across the road from the lake (very quiet, no thru road) and is sunny and bright with lots of windows to take in the beautiful view of Okanagan Lake and the mountains. Lovely, rustic pine beams enhance the high pine ceilings on the upper level. The house features heated slate tile entrance way and downstairs bathroom, as well as 2 superior gas fireplaces located in the living and family rooms. All linens are provided including sheets, bath towels and beach towels. The west facing balcony is large and sunny with views of the lake and picturesque sunsets over the mountains, table and seating for 6 as well as two reclining loungers. The lovely covered patio off the kitchen features a large Weber gas BBQ, and patio table with seating for four.
Stunning dream kitchen features beautiful wood cupboards, natural granite counter tops, high end appliances including a 6 burner thermador gas range, and heated tile floors. The cupboards are stocked with all sorts of spices, dry goods, cookware, and serving ware for 8 – just bring your favorite fresh food! This is not a bare bones vacation rental, this kitchen is well equipped and ready to cook! Fresh herbs from the garden in season. Seating for 4 at the island.
House layout; Upstairs: 1 bedroom lakeview with queen bed, 1 bedroom mountain view with queen futon, kitchen, living room, dining room, full bathroom. Downstairs: 1 bedroom front yard view with queen bed, family room, laundry room, bathroom (with custom tile shower, sink and toilet).
The house features a fully fenced, grassy back yard perfect for playing or relaxing in the shade, an unnoticeable wire mesh attached to the wood fence keeps kids and dog(s) safely contained and also keeps the deer out of the garden buffet! The front yard is also fully fenced (no wire mesh) with lush grass to play games or relax in the sun.
Coral Beach is 10-15 minutes away from great restaurants (winery, greek, italian/mediterranean and more). The drive to the house is breathtaking, with expansive views of Okanagan Lake – the road winds along the hillside past orchards selling their fresh fruit. The house is just 13 minutes from Winfield town center which includes two grocery stores, a great butcher, liquor store, banking, gas stations and a seasonal Friday farmer’s market. For those lucky few at the house during the last half of July you will be treated to big, juicy, fresh Bing cherries right off the tree in the front yard! In mid August our peach tree sags with delicious, juicy peaches! World class golf resort, Predator Ridge and Sparkling Hill Resort, is just 10 minutes away with driving range, golf course, restaurants, coffee bars and other amenities. For those seeking other amenities of a rural community we are pleased to offer you a museum, Creekside Theatre and the Barn Gallery/ Life space studio. You are also able to tour our value-added fruit industry business which includes orchards, farm bakeries and cafes.
Lake Country is the proud home to four Award Winning Wineries for you to discover; Ex Nihilo Vineyards, Arrowleaf Cellars and Gray Monk Estate Winery - all less than 13 minutes away and newly added 50th Parallel Estates just 1 minute away! Gray Monk also offers fine dining at The Grapevine Restaurant; excellent food with European flair situated on large open air patio overlooking beautiful Okanagan Lake and the mountains.
We love this house and area and know you will too! We have a “house manual” that includes all our recommendations and suggestions for nearly everything. The Central Okanagan truly offers just about everything you can think of, so whether you want to relax and do nothing or get out and experience the incredible Okanagan lifestyle – you’re in the right place!

From the moment we entered the house, we were all saying "Wow!". The well equipped gourmet kitchen, the lovely living room with amazing views, two patios (one in the shade with a fan!), peaceful back yard, stuff to play with (for kids and adults), close proximity to the lake and wineries, opportunities for star gazing - this oasis has it all! The house was spacious for 3 couples and a dog. We highly recommend this beautiful retreat.

We came to the Okanagan with our kids (ages 1 and 2) to attend wedding events at Predator Ridge, Ex Nihilo Winery and Okanagan Centre Hall. The house is conveniently located for all venues in this area plus it is right across from the beach and playground. The house comfortably accommodated our family upstairs and visitors downstairs (including another family with 2 kids). The house is perfectly stocked with even more than what is listed on the VRBO listing. The kitchen is awesome - great cookware and appliances - and we got a lot of use out of the natural gas BBQ which is on one of the patios just outside the kitchen. For the kids, there's a great selection of indoor toys and games for rainy days or a break from the sun plus every outdoor lake toy and floatation device you would need. Kids also spent time in the blow up pool and in the sprinkler in the yard. All the basics are supplied, like a booster chair, play pen and safety gate. For the adults, we enjoyed the incredibly large yards (front and back) and that we could always find a place in the shade, the amazing lake views, the two patios (and the local wine consumed on them) and the overall comforts of this home. The only thing I would say to people with kids is to bring water shoes for them as the beach is not sand, it's rock and the bottom of the lake is rock as well.

This rental property exceeded our expectations. My husband and I took our 3 boys aged 18, 16 and 11. The house was immaculate, and we were easily able to find everything we needed during our stay. The supplies provided for use by the owners came in very handy, including coolers and chairs to take to the beach, life jackets, floating chairs, etc. The small beach just accross the laneway is very well manicured, is equipped with picnic tables on the beach and provides adequate shade, with a small playground and tennis court, it caters to all ages. It was never too busy to find a spot on the beach. A great neighbourhood with friendly neighbours - A great little spot off the beaten path.

From the moment we arrived until we left we constantly discovered amazing things the house had to offer. From condiments in the fridge, CD player, ice cube maker, a huge selection of DVDs, board games, quality hair and shower products in the washrooms, notes left around the house offering suggestions, you name it! The photos don't do it justice. We had a fantastic weekend and I would definitely recommend this property!

We just returned from a lovely one week stay in this beautiful home, It is very comfortable, nicely furnished and the kitchen fully equipped with anything you might need to prepare a meal. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely the place for you. We enjoyed evenings on the deck, watching the sun set over the lake and listening to the sounds of the birds and the crickets. Our dog loved the back yard and the dog beach just down the road.

This vacation home was ideally located. Far enough away from hustle and bustle of summer resorts but a quick drive when you wanted to go into town for groceries or a movie. Beautiful, modern kitchen that we enjoyed using. Lots of different spaces for all sorts of activities, sun deck, shady patio, large private yard, 2 minutes to the lake, amazing views. We really enjoyed touring the local vineyards. Tried out the local restaurant Ricardos. It had wonderful staff and great martinis, but the food was just ok. A great vacation house.

The home was above and beyond our expectations. Very pleasantly surprised. We brought our dog with us and were relieved that the back yard was so spacious backing onto a treed area. We saw deer in the yard, quail running around and were perfectly situated away from the hustle of Kelowna, but close enought to go shopping. The home was very clean, a wonderful view, very well appointed and comfortable with all you could ever ask for. Air conditioning was a great perk. Located close to the home were numerous activities, and the pretty town of Winfield. Everyone was so friendly, tons of fruit stands, farmers markets, hiking trails and great Wineries close buy. I would not hesitate to reccommend this home and would definately love to go back. Thanks so much to the wonderful owners for giving us the opportunity to share their home. Pefect holiday get-a-way!

About the owner: We love traveling, golfing, the outdoors and great food! When traveling our favorite accommodation choice is always vacation rentals so we really get to experience living like locals. We have made every effort to ensure our guests enjoy their time in our home.
Why the Owner Chose Carr's Landing:
Having traveled extensively we realize that Coral Beach is truly a gem. The abundance of outdoor beauty, the seclusion and privacy of this little residential area, the crystal clear waters of Okanagan Lake, the sunset views of the Monashee Mountains yet the easy access to World Class golf resorts, wineries, ski resorts and restaurants is what makes this place amazing.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
In summer guests can enjoy cherries and peaches from our trees in the front yard, a garden of fresh, delicious herbs and hopefully even some produce if we can keep the deer away from the garden buffet. In winter guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of our home and area with two high end gas fireplaces to keep you cozy; gazing at the lake or reading a book snuggled on the couch never felt so good!
