Great location in the French Quarter with balcony for having your tea in the morning from the tea shop below or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Owner met us and walked us thru the condo, and answered our questions, and left us with the most delicious pralines as a gift! They have a typed list of recommended restaurants in the area which were spot on. This is a great rental and it could only be better if it was my own! Thank you for sharing with us and for your hospitality!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Extremely well appointed studio/apartment in the heart of the French Quarter. Nestled in a well maintained old New Orleans home with a spacious patio behind a very secure gate from the street. And a large, covered balcony for cocktails and people watching. Even the pickiest of tourists will swoon at the lavishness of this little gem. We will certainly be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

What a delightful stay we had in the French Quarter at this gorgeous property! It's even more beautiful 'in person' and Charlie was a great host. The condo was immaculate (and I'm very, very picky) and is in a wonderful location central to everything. I would strongly recommend NOLA (just across the street) and Commanders Palace for wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend this property. We can't wait for a return visit. Thank you Charlie for sharing your lovely house - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Just finished a truly exceptional stay at this property. Beautiful, historic building in a great location. The unit itself could not be better - great period details, tasteful decorating, modern amenities. Host is gracious without being intrusive. Stay here and you will be planning your return as you leave for the airport.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I stayed here for a friend’s wedding at the St. Louis Cathedral. I grew up about an hour outside of New Orleans and am pretty familiar with the city, having family and friends that still live in the area. We also tend to be very particular about where we stay. I researched so many hotel rooms and suites, but kept coming back to this listing. We could not have made a better choice. There are so many qualities that make this a wonderful place to stay. The apartment is very spacious and exceptionally maintained. It is very clean, has modern amenities. The location could not be better. You are within a very short walking distance (approximately two blocks) to the galleries on Royal Street, St. Louis Cathedral, French Market, and so many of the wonderful restaurants the city has to offer. There is also a CVS and Walgreens within approximately one block for any supplies you may need. The location is just perfect. I believe the quality of this property is on par with many of higher end hotels/suites that I researched. It is also larger with more amenities. In addition to all of this, the owner and his wife were very friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. Our deposit was returned within three days of our departure. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We were thrilled the minute we stepped inside this well appointed condo during our recent visit to New Orleans. Charlie, a consummate host and owner greeted us upon arrival, assisted with our luggage and gave us a detailed overview of the condo. The property built in the early 1800s has been impeccably restored to its original French Quarter architecture and charm with high ceilings, chandeliers, fireplaces, and restored hardwood floors. It is beautifully furnished with antiques, a great mix of modern art and high end windows and door treatments .There is a spacious, master suite with an extremely comfortable, 4 poster, king bed, armoire and lovely linens. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night, especially when we closed the bedroom doors and draperies. Charlie thought of every last detail when designing and furnishing this unit. Not only is it clean and well maintained, but it is equipped with all the amenities to suit everyone's needs. We found plenty of linens, toiletries, an iron, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils and upgraded appliances including the convenience of a washer and dryer. The gallery / balcony overlooking St. Louis Street was our favorite spot to sip coffee in the morning and perfect for relaxing with Sazeracs in hand, particularly late afternoon and early evening before going off to one of the great restaurants New Orleans has to offer. The condo is conveniently located in the lower French Quarter and is within walking distance to all the attractions, restaurants and boutique shopping. Do we recommend this property? Yes, highly! Will we return? Absolutely, booking this amazing condo for our next two New Orleans vacations. Thanks Charlie!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

All expectations were surpassed. Such a lovely cozy nest close to everything in the Quarter. Very clean and comfortable. Furnishings were just right. Bathroom was a tiny bit small but didn't hinder any part of our stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you Charlie.....it was perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a true French Qtr experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My Husband and I rented the Charlie's Condo this spring for a romantic getaway in New Orleans, and we were so impressed with the property. It is even more beautiful than the pictures. Each morning we would get up and open the windows that lead to the large balcony. You could hear the sounds of the horse drawn carriages passing by down below, and smell the flowers that were cascading over the planters on the balcony. We would play New Orleans Jazz music on the sound system in the condo, and watch the city start to come to life. This spacious condo is decorated with exquisite antiques and has beautiful local artwork, that makes you feel like you have been drenched in the culture of New Orleans. This condo is located in a very classy part of the French Quarter close to some of the best restaurants that New Orleans has to offer. We were a close walk to Jackson Square, shopping and visiting galleries on Royal Street, Nightlife on Burbon Street, and the river. We will return to stay at Charlie's condo each year when we visit NOLA.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Our stay exceeded all our expectations! This property was even more spectacular than the pictures and descriptions. The furniture and decor were exquisite. The bathroom and kitchen amenities were totally adequate. We loved how spacious the property was. The balcony overlooking the street was an added bonus. It was spotlessly clean and everything was in working order. The owner exceeded our expectations with customer service, contacting us before arrival and being on site to give us the keys and orientation at arrival. Dining recommendations were also provided and a map of the city. We would highly recommend this property. It was convenient for sightseeing on foot and close to attractions.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
