My family had a wonderful stay at the Bungalow. The owners were very nice and all the little extras really made you feel as if you were home. The area experienced a power outage one evening and the owners came by to check on us twice and followed up the power company until power was restored to the property. The property was very peaceful and serene and the view from the family room and back porch was beautiful. The bungalow was clean and all the furnishing were very nice. My family (5 adults and one child age 5) enjoyed fishing on Guntersville Lake and visiting Guntersville State Park. Location is very convenient to everything. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area and we hope to get back again very soon.

My wife daughter and I wanted a weekend where we could just relax, fish, and enjoy Guntersville State Park. We had almost given up because all the and cabins were booked and we were not looking for a hotel environment. Luckily I found this property and we were able to book right away. The process was easy, the owner very friendly and helpful and the house was very neat and clean. A nice extra was finding all the little things which made the visit like coming home. Coffee, tea, snacks were provided. We cooked meals and did laundry and there is even a grill and a fire pit provided. We met and enjoyed talking with the neighbor who was more than willing to share his knowledge of the local area.The only thing which I could have asked for would be a pier to dock a boat or fish from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great vacation the house is the best furnished place you could ever stay at for fishermen, families or what ever. Great view from the deck a dock would be nice but not a nessesity. Would like to see a sports package on the cable TV program but again not a nessesity. This is a great place to stay and we will be back next year I am already looking at dates so I can get it when we want it.

We booked the bungalow for five nights to serve a our base for a crappie fishing trip. The property was exactly as described, with every thing we needed, and much more. No long lists of do's and don'ts. Just common sense requests to make every ones visit more enjoyable. A nice location on a dead end lane, just a couple of miles or so from the main street of Guntersville. Neighborhood seemed very secure. We met a couple of the neighbors and they were very friendly toward us being there. Joanna was great to work with, always available, answering all questions, and going out of her way to make sure our visit went as planned. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay near Guntersville.

Myself and 3 others stayed 9 days while competing in a bass tournament and found that not once did we need something that was not provided. This is a great "home away from home" fully furnished, dishes, dish washer, Wi-Fi- etc. etc.. Pretty much if it is a nessicity at your house its at this house. We parked 3 twenty one foot bass boats on the property and never unhooked our vehicles from them do to lack of space. The house is in a quiet and secure cultersack 10 home neighborhood. This home is everything it is listed as and the owners are there to make sure your stay is as pleasant as it can be. The owners Duck and Joanna.........I can't describe in words how wonderful these two people are!!!!! The next time I come to Guntersville I know where I will be staying. Thanks again Duck and Joanna for your hospitality. Tony

We rented this house to stay at while fishing an Everstart Tournament. The house is very clean and comfortable. It is in a very safe area, I left the rods on the deck of my boat several nights, and didn't worry at all. The owners are very nice people. I will stay there again and would recommend this house to anyone

We visited the bungalow to commemorate the anniversary of my father's passing. My family and I wanted a comfortable and peaceful location to relax and remember. This wonderful property exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought of every detail and their care of those details makes staying here a wonderful experience. The views, location and space are all perfect. I'm already planning our return. If you are considering this property don't hesitate! You won't be disappointed!

I am a teacher. I rarely give perfect sores. I wanted a 4.5 but that option not available. I am now at the property. Leaving tomorrow. We decided to stay while visiting my elderly parents who live about 30 miles away in the city of Sardis. We found it very much as described. I would recommend this to friends. The owner has been most responsive via email and even called to see if we had gotten in okay. We found the lockbox a bit difficult to negotiate during a cold rainstorm and at night. However, those are not your normal check-in circumstances. What I liked most, wifi, great king size bed, well furnished kitchen, clear instructions, several eating places, large sitting area, great view. Quiet.Nice touch was a welcome note in the guestbook. Heat worked well even for us Floridians who are appalled by 32 degree temperatures. :-) Because I grew up on Sand Mountain, I think it is a great location for visiting/shopping/movies from Huntsville to Gadsden/Rainbow City. As you already know, if you are checking this out, it is reasonably priced. All we found we needed that wasn't here was a place to hang our towels in the master bedroom/bathroom. We are good at improvising so the towel thing not a huge deal. Our favorite local restaurant is Top of the River. Thank you. Cindy

What else could we have asked for? The Lake House Bungalow was beautifully furnished and stocked with all the supplies we needed! The view of Lake Guntersville through the glass doors to the back porch was hypnotizingly serene. The bungalow is close enough to the business area to be convenient yet far enough away from that same area to be peaceful. Three ladies enjoyed a three day get-away here and we are already planning a return visit in late spring!!

Total Calm & Serenity

I arrived to the Bungalow and immediately felt comfortable and at home. The house was cozy and the temperature was just right inside. The original plan for me was to have a "Women's Retreat" for church, but fate had other plans for me during my stay. My grandmother passed away 2 days before my arrival. The retreat had to be cancelled so I chose to stay alone to rest and recoupe. I could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. The water was calm, the leaves on the trees beautiful. I saw the geese glliding across the lake and the heron resting near the pier next door. The house was stocked with everything I needed. I slept in the king bed in the master suite. I literally sank into the mattress from being exhausted. Even though I was near the highway, the noise level was minimal. I enjoyed movies from the owners collection and a large collection it was! Movies for all ages were available. I loved relaxing on the porch. The owner even had decorated the front and back porches with fall decor; nice touch! I accidentally locked myself out of the house and had to call the owner on my last day there. Prompt and courteous are the best words I can use to describe their coming to my rescue. I will definitely be returning in the future for the calm and serenity. Kudos for making this property availabile for the public to enjoy!

It was a wonderful experience. The location was convenient to stores (although almost everything we needed except the food was provided) & easily accessible to out of town family members with plenty of parking. We just wanted quiet to enjoy each others company... This was a perfect place

My family of 4 visited in April & had such a wonderful time, I brought my best friend back with me in October. We only stayed two nights but had a very memorable time. We'll never forget our trip. JoAnna and Duck are such good people & this bungalow reflects that. There is such a peaceful and 'at home' feeling that comes with staying here. I'd never stay the hotel up the road after learning about this gem. The lake view is stunning, especially in the early morning and at dusk. I'm hoping to get back in February for a mom/daughter trip. Stayed for two days and found the propery to be cozy, clean and had everything anyone could want including a nicely stocked kitchen, with a large cold fridge and a fast ice maker. Owner was pleasant in nature and very prompt in responding to my communications. Everything went smoothly. Our deposit was even promptly returned in just two days. I think this propery is a great value for the money. My only request would be for it to have a dock but that's minor considering how warm and cozy the property is.

Great house with a very homey feel to it. We had a great stay this weekend. The house is very comfortable with a great back porch and stunning view of the water. The children had a great time playing in the large, level yard and we just sat back and relaxed. Thanks for sharing your spot.

You had everything we needed which allowed us to spend the most time with our family. I've been visiting this area (lived here once) for 46 years, You have the perfect locatiion here - close to the mountain, Huntsville and on the lake! I appreciate all your personal touches - we played a game of find all the ducks in the house! If I find a cute antique duck I'm def gonna send it to you! This property was outstanding. The pictures posted were very close to what the property looked like except we were pleasently surprised with furnishings and cleanliness of the house. I have already recommended the house to friends and family. We were thinking about going back in July but see it is already booked so we will wait till it cools off some then go back. Loved this property...clean, neat, peaceful, everything we needed! Owner was very accomadating! Besides being very helpful before our vacation, she went over and above as we had a death in the family and were unable to make our original arrival dates, but she worked with us so that we were still able to receive the full amout of time we had planned.

The Bungalow is so comfortable and homelike that I looked in the fridge for leftovers. The towels and sheets were much more that I expected. The movies in the closet would have kept me busy for quiet a while, if the weather had not been so pretty. Thanks JoAnna for making our stay in Guntersville so pleasant. I have told all of the people at camp what a deal I we got. They were so jealous and wondered why they didn't consider a lake house instead of a hotel. The week past way too fast.

My family had an awesome time at the Bungalow! Only spent 2 nights but we had so much fun! The house is immaculate, and stocked with anything you may not have thought to bring along. We caught lots of fish in the back yard, mostly catfish and bass, but even caught some bream/shellcracker. Our little girl was excited to catch her first "giant bass" and when she wasn't fishing, was able to make good use of the movie collection. We haven't been home more than half an hour and we're already planning our next visit.

Beautiful home, beautiful yard, sitting on the back porch looking at the lake, cool breezes, it was about as perfect as it gets. Immaculately clean, fully stocked with anything you could need or want, all we had to add was family, personal items, and food. My husband said that was the best vacation he has ever had. He loved it. He wanted to just stay forever. We were able to take our small boat to a launch nearby and bring it back to the lake bank out back of the house. Swimming is also close by. It is convenient to shopping, grocery stores, and any activity you would like to do.

The owners have outdone themselves with this property! Decor is lovely, beds comfy and linens are A+. JoAnna also provides sample toiletries and some snacks and starter coffee fixins for the renter that might not shop before checking in. Speaking of which, the kitchen is well stocked with any dish, plastic ware or cooking item you might need!! The house is very well maintained and is a great size.The posted pics do not show how great it is. The livingroom with the wonderful view is quite large but very inviting and homey!! You absolutely cannot believe the view from inside the house and the wonderful back porch (that runs the entire length of the house I might add)!! The lake acts like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding beauty. You simply must greet a sunrise or two while you are there-- I promise you won't regret it and you will feel blessed for the rest of the day. The downtown area is quaint, with a few shops to look in for the ladies and a couple of small eateries. I highly recommend driving to the Guntersville State Park and enjoying the lodge for its view and food. Keep in mind that some of the non-chain, specialty restaurants are not open for lunch. There are some places in Guntersville, but more choices in Albertville, just a few miles down the road. This a beautiful area and this house is such a great find!! Superb in the opinion of myself and my husband. We went for peace and quiet and relaxation and we found everything we wanted and more! We cannot wait to return! JoAnna is a sweet person and very personable. You will find the rental process to be easy and non stressful.

We had a great experience at "The Bungalow". The house was more than we had expected for the price. It was very clean and comfortable. It has a home away from home feeling. The Bungalow was way above our expectations!!!!! The place was beautifully decorated and very clean. The owner even had snacks, shampoo and lotions out for us. The view was beautiful from the back deck. Guntersville was a very friendly place, we even met some of the neighbors. We will be going back again soon we hope! My family of 4 wanted a quiet getaway from Atlanta. After searching all of the surrounding hotels Guntersville, we found this lovely lakefront property. We were not sure what to expect with this being a new listing with such a low rental price, but I'm so glad we chose to stay at this bungalow. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Everything you would need was provided, just as it would be in a hotel...just for so much less money. The house was very clean, quaint and comfortable. Mornings and evenings on the back porch were absolutely Priceless!! The owners were a pleasure to work with & even met us upon our departure to return the security deposit. We are already planning a return trip in the Fall. Our drive to beautiful Guntersville State Park was only minutes away, as was downtown Guntersville. It was also a short ride to Cathedra Caverns & the Unclaimed Baggage Center in nearby Scottsboro. Definitely the perfect location for peace & quiet and convenience!
