Until your arrival, you have the feeling of entering a park as coconut palm trees line the driveway and open up to flower gardens with a large back yard with several variety of trees. As soon as you park you will be greeted and shown the house as you settle in. All furniture and appliances are new for 2012. The large living room features a lazy boy lounge chair with a lazy boy couch/sleeper. The queen size sleeper has an air mattress. Local channels and Directv, dvd entertainment on a 32 inch televison. The dining room seats six with a fully supplied kitchen. The guest bathroom is adjointed to the guest bedroom which has two twin beds or can be set up as a king bed. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a master bath with walk-in closet. Outdoor screened lanai with lounge patio chairs. Enjoy the fragence and sight of the nearby flower garden. Washer and dryer is provided. The owner had made every attempt to provide these items. Vacationers find themselves buying! A short list includes soap,shampoo, hairdryer, towels,wash clothes, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach toys, coolers, car gps, table games, grill for outdoor cooking, bug sprays, information and book library, all supplies for washing and cleaning. As a additional bonus you can save on car rental with a local dealer instead of the national chains.. Lower rates with pick-up and return to the airport for a small fee. This service is available only at certain times a day. You will find this home cozy! A home away from home.

Richard and Donna's home was absolutely beautiful nestled, into the palm trees. It was quiet. Felt safe. Their home has everything you need or want. Fully furnished, very clean, cable, fully equipped kitchen, and their is a washer n dryer which made it very comfortable. Near airport, shopping, places to eat in Hilo.Here are just a few places we recommend. bluehawaiian, Nori's, Hilo Bay Cafe Kens House of Pancakes, (Done Hawaiian Style. We ate here a lot. Owned by the same family.) My favorite is Ponds. I loved their food! Places to see: Valley of the Kings. Do not do it on your own. Waipio Valley Shuttle,Thurston Lava Tube, We had lunch here on Halemaumau Crater/Kilauea Crater. Beautiful view. Pack a lunch! Black Sand Beach, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Wailuku River State Park & Rainbow Falls, Coconut Island, Banyan Drive, Historic Hilo Town, Liliuokalani Gardens, Best beaches are Beach 69/Waialea & Hupana Beach next door!! This is another beautiful white beach. As with the Mona Kea beach, the water is clear and picturesque. There is large parking lot and tons of people. The waves were moderate, good for boogie boarding or playing in the surf. Muana Kea..great beach at Mahai'ula Bay in Kekaha Kai State Park. Kealakeua Bay south of Kailua is famous (or infamous) as the site where Captain Cook, you can swim with the dolphins hear. They will not hurt you. The legendary English explorer, lost his life in a skirmish with the natives. A monument now stands at the site, although it is inaccessible by car. The best way to get there is to rent a canoe or kayak, put it in and paddle across the bay. You may even see a playful dolphin on the way across. You can also take a tour boat there, but it's certainly not as fun. The waters around the monument is clear and teeming with tropical fish, perfect for snorkeling. Must eat dragonfruit and Mangoes!! If u r into History see:Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site, Pu'uhonua o Honaunau Place of Refuge ((loved)). Next to Kailua Pier is Ahuena Heiau, a Hawaiian temple built in 800 AD, Lapakahi State Historical Park. This State Park is located north of Kawaihae, and was once an ancient Hawaiian fishing village. Don't forget just down from the home is a HOTSPRINGS! A must everyday! Thank you Donna and Richard so very much for sharing your home. Your home was a delight and so affordable! We spent all our extra money to see as much as we could of beautiful HAWAII! Our deepest, thanks.
