Beachside Aptos is a comfortable, dual-level, family town home situated 1 block from the beach at Rio Del Mar… just far enough to feel peacefully apart from the crowds, but an easy amble to the beach. This popular beach runs just south of Santa Cruz and boasts miles of sand, and a variety of restaurants from the elegant Rio Cafe to several delis. There is also a shopping center with a major grocery store; sundries and hardware stores; a movie theater and other shops and restaurants a quick 2-minute drive away. 2 minute walk takes you to the Seacliff State Park and Beach with BBQ and picnic areas, fishing pier and walking path. Lovely weather year-round.
This furnished vacation home has vaulted ceilings; tile and carpeted floors; large, open floor plan; and its own private deck. The uniquely secluded deck is a wonderful spot to relax and listen to the ocean. The kitchen has a bar counter with bar stools and a separate family style dining table. The tiled counter tops surround new appliances. Dishes, utensils, and appliances are included. Heating and ceiling fans throughout make this home comfortable year-round for all visitors. Beachside Aptos was delightfully comfortable, wonderfully relaxing and terrifically close to the beach! Sipping morning coffee on the balcony, listening to the waves crashing against the beach, was just one if the many highlights of our stay. Our beach walks found the locals to be very welcoming to our family and our dogs. We can't wait to return to Beachside Aptos!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the "Beachside Aptos" property. This was our first experience with VRBO and we were very happy with the results. The property is exactly as described and pictured and has a very comfortable ambiance. We are planning another trip back later this year.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

When we arrived it was exactly what was described on the booking web site. The place was very clean. The towels were extremely soft and the main bedroom bed was a dream to sleep on. I enjoyed getting up each morning to take my dog for a nice walk on the beach one block away. The place was absolutely very quiet I like the quit time from 10-8. The full kitchen was nice since we were able to get groceries near by sitting on the front and nice and, the top patio was nice in the morning to hear the ocean. Rounded out our stay with bonfires each night and great coffee each morning. Already planning our next vacation. The owner was very nice and she made special attention to be available to me for questions/guidance. The time went by too fast.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beachside Aptos! Very close to the beach, only a stone's throw away from Santa Cruz. Coming from the city, we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet everything was. The property itself was very cute and well-maintained - plus, it was equipped with everything we could have ever wanted or needed! My husband, son and his buddy stayed here and the townhome was perfectly comfortable for us. We loved being barely a block from Rio Del Mar Beach, and a lovely beach walk to Sea Cliff Beach nearby. The unit was fully stocked and immaculate, and we really appreciated the binder that the owner put together for guests -- it was chock full of info about area activities, park maps, and some restaurant info. She also left a bike and boogie board for us to borrow. Sweet! The boogie board got a lot of use. It was nice having a few commercial amenities right around the corner. We ate at Café Rio for dinner one night (pricey but the food was good) and had coffee and croissants at the Beach Bean (a very basic café). We had Easter Brunch at Café Sparrow in old Aptos town center and that was a scrumptious meal. The townhome is perfect for a small family -- it is a bit small so I feel it would be uncomfortable for more than 4 people. And the stairs to the second floor are rather steep so I would be nervous about having a crawling baby or toddler. But our son and his buddy are 4th graders so no worries for us. Quite the contrary -- the beach with the river running through it was like a playground for our boys. We were there for 5 hours one day and they could barely sit still to have a sandwich. We loved our Aptos trip and look forward to returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

This place is the best! I'm a native Californian and have stayed in many places along the coast and found this little hideaway to be the best combination of what you want from a beach rental. The condo has everything you need for fun and comfort, while just steps away from a beautiful beach. The area is quiet and frequented by locals. Go ahead, join them!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I have rented vacation properties from Oregon to Los Angeles and this is the best stocked place we've had. It felt like my own place that I had arranged for my own comfort...everything is here: from the selection of warm snuggly throws to flashlight and umbrella! Very complete (and idiot-proof) instructions for the DISH network & TV. VERY well stocked kitchen. Our weekend was the perfect blend of activity and relaxation. The lovely beach is a few steps away with a nice running pathway. (I am not a fan of running on the sand.) We also enjoyed our hike in the redwoods of Nisene Marks State Park minutes away. I loved sitting in the sun on the porch and reading. The neighborhood is so quiet we could hear the surf from inside the condo, in the sumptuous bed--heaven! Great bed, everything very clean and new, anything I wanted was at hand. HIGHLY recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This townhouse is everything we had seen on VRBO and more. It was very clean and well maintained. Any issues we had were immediately resolved. The location was amazing. It was perfect for our family of four. Our family had such a nice three night stay and would definitely rent this place again. We love being so close to Santa Cruz attractions. Accurate listing, photos represented the place perfectly, clean and comfortable fully functional condo. Owner correspondence was prompt and courteous before and after. What a great location (2 minute walk to the beach), ; simplistic process to get in, easy rules to follow to get out. I would stay again on next trip to Aptos! Great golf at Seascape - 5 minute drive; also at Pajaro Valley (15 minute drive).Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
