We rented the house for a ski weekend with 11 family members aged 76 to 9. WE shoveled the pond, skated, x=country skied, snow shoed, sledded, , enjoyed the view all the way to Monadnock. ( we think it was Monadnock). Kitchen large and very well equipped, king to bunk beds accomdated all family combos. Attractive and fascinating decor but not fussy- perfect for large active family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family had a great weekend in Vermont. The house has tons of space, and the ping pong table downstairs was a big hit. Plenty of snow for sledding, too!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family and I spent my 40th birthday up in the peace and quiet this wonderful house had to offer. Not only was the property amazing for sledding and "attempting snowboarding"...we were able to bring out dog and be all together. The cozy living room with the large windows and warm fireplace just added to the treat. Close fine and casual dining plus the quaint town of Newfane put the cherry on top. Highly recommended!!!!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the house - and what can one say about the surroundings? Breathtaking! This is a lovingly tended property, with beautiful gardens and recreational space outside and comfortable, homey accommodations inside. Recommended without reservation and with great enthusiasm.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The house was exactly as described and worked well for our annual winter weekend gathering of 10 adults and 1 dog. We had a blast - snowshoeing, sledding, telling stories by the fire, and enjoying the view. It was reasonably close to Mt. Snow for those that wanted to ski and plently secluded for those that preferred to explore the surrounding fields and woods. I can see how a summer weekend would be a lot of fun here as well!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Me, my sister and brother inlaw had a great three days at the house. We brought our two dogs and had a blast. Plenty of room to run, and a few small towns to enjoy. Horses and goats in the back yard. We will be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Wow! We spent 5 glorious, beautiful days over Columbus Day weekend. The house is the best I’ve ever rented, from the spacious living inside to the glorious spectacular space outside. The beds were comfortable, the linens clean and the chest of DVD’s wonderful to watch. My seven and five year olds had a fantastic time playing on the big swing set and swinging on the tire swing from the tree. The dogs loved being off lead and roaming around the property with us each and every day. We will be back for a week this summer!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dogs and their families had a great stay in July. We saw spectacular evening thunderstorms and did some great hiking up on Stratton Mtn which is not too far away. The pond was great for swimming on those warm summer nights. Highly recommended!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We recently stayed here and had the most wonderful time. As you pull into the driveway, the beauty of the rolling hills takes you on vacation immediately. At night from the deck, the brilliant stars shine brighter than I have ever seen. The house is comfortable, spacious, and inviting! I highly recommend staying here.Did you find this review helpful?
