Our home, 'The Jewel', is a bright, cheerful, warm, cosy, family retreat. It is an easy 3 block stroll to Coligny Plaza for shopping and dining. We are located 4 rows from the beach, approximately 175 steps. The gentle ocean breezes normally grace our veranda which is located off the main living area. Downstairs there is a 15' x 30' inground pool with a large shaded entertaining area for BBQing and relaxing. This area is almost always cooled by the pleasant ocean breezes. Also included here are private bathroom and shower facilities. The house features 4 bedrooms; 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs is the master with a king bed and private bath. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and adjacent bath. Upstairs one bedroom has a king bed and bunk bed (twin). The other bedroom has a queen bed and a double bed. These rooms are connected by a Jack and Jill bath. There is a TV in each bedroom and one in the main living area. The dining room, off the kitchen, seats 8 - 10 comfortably with additional seating at the bar.
Our family gatherings at 'The Jewel' have always been rewarding and exciting experiences. It is a great place for families to get together and enjoy a fun, relaxing time. Our wish is for you to do this; taking with you many pleasant memories and the desire to return again to enjoy our home and the lowcountry lifestyle.

This was our first time renting a house in Hilton Head but I can say I would definetely rent this house again. We have always rented condos but I think that has changed. It was a great location especially with little kids and the house was outfitted with everything you would need. The pool is a great size and having the underneath area is great. I would highly recommend this house to anyone as I already have.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home had everything our family was looking for in our traditional beach vacation. The home is very spacious with convenience and amenities abound. The rooms are beautiful, the master suite an incredible space a little virtual work, watching TV or relaxing with a good book. Naturally, the kids loved the TV in every bedroom! My favorite space was the pool area and outdoor room. We enjoyed swimming in the private pool, dinners and casual conversation. Steps from the beach and our favorite shopping spot Coligny Plaza, this home was the perfect location.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I was born in the Lowcountry and raised nearby. My desire has been to live at the beach and on Hilton Head. To fulfill this desire my husband and I built our Jewel in 2000 and have lived here since. We are now ready to share our treasure with others.
